Delightful night at Olviomare
We had a delightful night at Olivomare, I'm surprised by a few of the reviews. The food was absolutely delicious - pasta perfectly cooked and seasoned, and large portions of all dishes. Lobster spaghetti is a must, and do try the sardinian apertifs and wine. Service was stellar too - attentive (but not too much), great recommendations, not pushy at all in having us pay or leave.
Be the first to ReplyDISRESPECTFUL
This is an honest review and I am not hard to please! Food: far too salty and pasta was undercooked; overall the food was nasty. Service: TERRIBLE! I would not have gone to the effort of writing a review based on the food alone being poor. A particular lady working there was especially horrible; she overcharged us, did not apologise despite being wrong and instead was very demeaning. We left feeling deeply disrespected by her behaviour and attitude towards us. We came as a family to celebrate a 50th birthday and the evening was ruined by the service at Olivomareโฆ so a big no thank you from us all!
Be the first to ReplyGreat Sardinian Italian
Amazing Italian seafood restaurant. The inside is quite noisy so a table outside with heat lamps on are perfect. The ingredients are super fresh and simple cooking brings out the fresh ingredients. Octopus salad and cured tuna carpaccio were really good as were the crab meat pasta and octopus pasta. Lovely neighbourhood restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyDon't have a face that fits.
Was turned away despite having lots of empty tables because I clearly didn't fit their clientele as a disabled tatooed woman. Was told it was by reservation only, then they allowed a guy behind me to sit "wherever you like Sir" without a reservation. Feel very discriminated against.

What happened? Used to be greatโฆ. Took a long time to get drinks and starters. Oysters badly open, over half an hour wait between dishes, no apologies, I asked to remove the 15% service charge but didnโt seem interested as to why, no good bye or thank youโฆ. Wonโt be coming back in a rush, what a shame, I used to love this place.
Be the first to ReplyPoor food standard, even worse service
DO NOT visit this place unless you want poor service with a hefty price tag, hence not welcoming at all. Quality of food standard has declined along with customer service.
Be the first to ReplyNice food, poor service
The food is nice, but expensive even for central London! My main issue was the dreadful service which in itself would not have been too bad but they then had the cheek to add a 15% service charge to the bill. Needless to say, we did not pay it.

The staff could not be friendlier or more attentive. The seafood risotto was heavenly. The octopus was quickly devoured by my spouse. The crab salad was a generous portion and worth every bite. The recommended wine was very nice. The space is a bit small but it doesnโt affect the wonderful experience. Would return.
Be the first to ReplyBest food we eat in London, bar none!
We are committed pescatarians and this is one if our favourites in the world. Civilised, buzzy, impeccable service, timely but unhurried, interesting Sardinian options, great wine list. ...and the food is DELICIOUS!

๐๐ปfollow basic_beans_ on instagram for more honest restaurant reviews and recommendations 100% one of the best pasta places in London - The Olivo group has a number of restaurants serving Sardinian cuisine in Belgravia, with Olivomare focusing on seafood as the name suggests. Iโve been back many times already and still their pasta always leave me satisfied ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐: ยฃ25-35pp ๐ ๐จ๐จ๐: 9/10 ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐๐ฒ: 8.5/10 ๐๐ฆ๐๐ข๐๐ง๐๐: 8.5/10 (All pasta prices as main) Having tried a large number of pasta on their menu, the crab linguine and vongole lorighittas are still my favourites which I highly recommend! All of the pastas are cooked perfectly al dente, with a light yet absolutely delicious sauce. Lorighittas with the vongole is a sardinian pasta and I really liked the texture that the unique shape gives to the pasta
Be the first to ReplyDecent but expensive and mixed service
Work dinner on a Tuesday evening. Decent Italian bread to start - starter of salt cod ravolli was decent, main course of baked sea bass was decent, but brought to the table a few minutes after other main courses and only served with salad (& no reminder when ordering of need to get sides) which led to a hasty order of fries. Dessert of frozen yogurt was nice. Overall solid food experience, friendly but pretty inept service and prices on the high side even for Belgravia. With so many decent fish options in London - unlikely to return, but certainly not the worst place for dinner if you need an option in the area and you are happy to splash the cash!
Be the first to ReplyWOW great food.
Really amazing seafood. My son who hates seafood even loved it. Good wine list, fresh food and yummy desserts. Odd, but appealing, interior. Mystery doors in the bathroom will have you scratching your head, just keep trying the handles, you will find one.
Be the first to ReplyDonโt waste your money or time here
This restaurant is great if you are from Belgravia or Sicily, otherwise you are treated like a second-class citizen (but your money isnโt). Went with a friend at 1845 to be told we had to leave at 2030 as that particular table was reserved (it was by the window) and the whole restaurant was fully booked (maybe 12-15 tables in total). We were rushed the whole time with ordering and the head waitress huffed and rolled her eyes whenever we ordered something. Needless to say, at 11pm when we left, there were numerous empty tables and nobody had come at 830 for ours. Food was mediocre, tiramisu was not the delicious coffee-based sumptuous one I remembered from Ortigia. Nothing Michelin star here about this restaurant, except the prices. Snooty does not even cover it..!
Be the first to ReplySardinia comes to London
Lovely Italian (Sardinian) Fish Restaurant. Quality was Excellent. The Staff are very efficient & Knowledgeable with the Menu.. We felt like we had gone back to italy & will return without doubt.
Be the first to ReplyVery Good Lunch
The restaurant was nat at all busy for lunch but it was quite noisy. There was a very extensive appetising menu and our party of six each had different dishes. I had bass, off the bone, flown in from Sardinia and is was excellent. I was not surprised as the restaurant pride itself on its fish dishes
Be the first to ReplyMagnificent!
Please eat here. The food is magnificent and so are all of the people who work there. We had the crab pasta, lobster, the steamed mussels and king prawns. I would recommend all of these dishes. They were prepared perfectly and were enjoyed. For dessert we had the special which was figs in a port reduction and tiramisu and almond amaretto. Again, recommend all of them but my favourite was the figs with a yoghurt ice cream. Please do not miss this experience. The service was amazing and food was the best weโve had in 5 countries.
Be the first to ReplySardinian delicacies to take away the sting of a heat wave
Dropped by for lunch to get away from the sting of a heat wave. The chilled tomato soup was superb and I would recommend the yellow fin tuna and the risotto. Service is excellent and very wheelchair friendly. Good choice when in London.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food and great service
We had a fantastic family lunch. The food was nicely presented, good portions and absolutely delicious. Looking forward to the next one.
Be the first to ReplyBest pasta with bottarga out of Italy
Olivo Mare is a proper Italian fish restaurant. It seems you are in Sardinia (although you pay the double for the same meal :). I went several times and the food was always very good. The pasta with bottarga is just outstanding!
Be the first to ReplyGreat seafood
Found this place on TripAdvisor after looking for a good seafood restaurant around Victoria and we are glad we found it! Food was authentic and delicious. We had the vongole pasta and ragu de pulpo, both were delicious and the staff were happy to not put chilli in one of the vongole pasta. House wine is available and there is a wide variety of Sardinian wines! We had a great meal. Not the cheapest restaurant but if you want some authentic food then it is worth it.
Be the first to ReplyInhospitable
Was taken as a guest so unable to voice (there and then) my shock at the way my hosts were spoken to, including being offered the bill and being told that they were busy and needed the table back before being offered coffee or pudding.
Be the first to ReplyCrappy service, go somewherelse
Horrible service, 1 hour and 15 min to get our meal. They forgot the order. We ordered our bottle of Prosecco that was mixed with other three in the same ice bucket?
Be the first to ReplyFresh, modern and slick
I canโt quite understand the odd recent negative reviews of Olivomare. I visited with a friend for Saturday lunch and everything was exceptional.
With a varied fish and seafood menu, and clearly a loyal following of guests, it was my first visit to Olivomare and itโs some of the freshest and best cooked fish and seafood Iโve had in London.
I started with a seafood carpaccio which was so light and fresh, with the flavours of every single ingredient coming through. This was followed by the crab linguine which was a very healthy portion and was beautifully presented and seasoned. This was all washed down with a crisp bottle of house rosรฉ.
Iโd recommend Olivomare very highly. Great choice of wines, really fresh fish and seafood and very friendly and welcoming staff
Nothing like it used to be
I used to love this place and had been a number of times before the pandemic. Was looking forward to going back today with my wife and boy. The staff were lovely as before, but it took them 40 minutes to bring out our starters (which were ok) and an hour after that our mains finally came. Both pastas were poor. Nothing like before. I was so hungry by the time mine came, I ate it anyway, but my wifeโs was so bad she left it. Made food at home. What a shame. Donโt think Iโll be going back.
Be the first to ReplyOverall Not impressed
Everything is ok but Iโm not so impressed their menus . I was thinking to order Ricci di mare, which there was on their menu .
But they didnโt have Ricci di mare. Iโve asked the reason, their response was that because itโs very difficult to get them. If itโs very difficult to get any ingredients, they should not put on their menu.
Spaghetti Langstin, its sauce was strangely sweet, which was not my taste . I never had a such sweet sauce with pasta. Is this the new kind of tastes??
Services: there was welcome greeting but there wasn't thanks and goodbye greeting.
