Generally good food, though on the expensive side
Good food generally. Slightly priced on the higher side. Some dishes were a miss though , had clams which were really salty. Service was quite good when I was there . Damage per pax with alcohol is around 150. Recommended to order the seasonal grilled fish, peppers , pork chop. Those were the favorites
Be the first to ReplyRuined an anniversary dinner
Booked our anniversary dinner weeks in advance of our reservation on 28th Oct. On arrival we were placed, we were told no table was available, escorted to the bar and asked to โsettle inโ. We mentioned we had booked well in advance, and had arrived on time โฆbut were given no explanation for why we couldnโt get a table. 30mins later (after repeatedly asking for our table) we left and had a great meal at Kafe Utu(where service was great) Just so disappointing that a restaurant with such a reputation should make a mockery of the reservation processโฆ..clearly a management & logistics issue.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the Best Places to enjoy Espaรฑol Food
After the amazing meal at Santi, I had always been on a lookout for great Espaรฑol restaurants. And Olivia is exactly one of my few fruitful finds where I find meticulously prepared, awesome, authentic Espaรฑol food and great service. Bikini "Barcelona" is taste and texture done to perfection. The slight char of the bread, the melted stretchy cheese, the earthy aroma of truffle and the nutty aroma plus saltiness of the Ibรฉricรณ ham all work so well together to yield a harmonised flavours from all spectrum. And I like the thickness of the bread: thick enough to introduce the wholesomeness of wheat and thin enough to let the other ingredients shine through and maintain the moist texture. A must-try here. Jovial Martini is a lovely creation due to the aroma of vanilla and sparkling wine. The egg white foam at the top makes for interesting texture. It sure packs a punch due to Volka added. 'Secreto Ibรฉricรณ' Pork is amazingly good. When I have my my bite of this, I go, "Wow, this meat is so creamy! I never had such creamy pork before." Okay, the creaminess comes from the rich oils interwoven with the meat. What I love about this pork is that the oils make the meat moist, juicy and filled with delicate nutty aroma, and the oils, not in plain sight, is only released from within the meat when I bite into it, producing that creaminess effect. So each bite of this is rewarded with a burst of the acorn goodness. The sauce is done just right to add bits of extra flavour to the pork while letting the meat's flavour comes out fully. It tastes even better when paired with the cubes of tomato since the fresh refreshing tangy juices contrasts very well with the creaminess of the meat. The Padrรณn peppers, which has a mild distinctive pungent taste of peppers, is good eaten on its own and with the pork. Olivia's Creamy Homemade Cheesecake is unbelievably good. The cheese filling is like creamy cheese cloud! One spoonful to taste the distinctive strong savoury flavour of blue cheese and then poof, just like a cloud, it melt off to leave off a lingering taste of the cream, cheese and almond. I love havinf this with the almond stable since its light sweetness balances up with the saltiness of the cheese filling. The interior of the place is cool, chic and rustic all at the same time. I like the warm lights, rattan chairs and brick walls that induce a mood for chilling out and just enjoying good food. And the arched windows that one can peek through to see the lush green foliage outside add on to laid back vibe of the place. Service here is excellent and impressive. Upbeat, enthusiastic, friendly and attentive, Saroj and team, including the bartender of course, always make sure we patrons are well attended to. It's so easy to get their attention. Sometimes, just a turn of the head, the service staff, especially Saroj, will come up to help already. When I'm finished with my course and set up my cutleries to indicate so, one of them will come up soon to clear the plate while asking about how is the food. This level of attentiveness is awesome. With a visit to Olivia, I finally found my favourite Espanรตl restaurant in this place. Everything is so well-executed. I look forward to going back to enjoy more of the good food here. Thoughts: Awesome Espanลl Food and Awesome Hospitality
Be the first to ReplyGood one-time dining
The place is fine, food is good (a bit oily mostly) and service was quite good for us as we had the privilege of our friend who was a familiar face in the restaurant. In the absence of our friend, I think the service would have been average because just 10 minutes into our seating, we were reminded that we have to leave the table in 2 hrs time. Now that's something you don't expect at 6.40PM while you came at 6.30pm. Quite a noisy place, but that's what Spanish eateries usually are. Its fine dining price wise but ambience was mid-range.
Be the first to ReplyWouldnโt return
It wasnโt that it was a particularly bad experience but we didnโt think the restaurant was that amazing (despite our friendsโ recommendations and their Michelin star proudly displayed outside the restaurant). The food was mostly coated in oil, very heavy. Then bread, open faced omelette and pasta were the only dishes that I would consider going back for. The cod and eggplant barely passed the taste test.. the ambience and vibe looked much nicer from the outside than when youโre seated at their bar in a quiet nook. Oh, and it was 9$ for a small glass of Coke (they didnโt even give you the full can! Itโs probably half the can?) Wouldnโt return since there are other better options for the same price point
Be the first to ReplyGood food, poor service
Book a table for dinner at 6.30pm. The food arrived at good speed and we enjoyed every bit of it. Until we were asked to get the bill at 8pm and told to leave as another party booked a table at 8.30pm. 1. Why were we asked to leave when last order was 9.45pm? I asked why we were chased away from our table and the waiter said we are only allowed 2hrs to dine. Please tell me, where can this clause be found in your website? 2. The table beside me arrived before my party did, why weren't they asked to leave first? Is it because they are Caucasian and we aren't? Albeit the pricey dinner, we expected better service. As a business, I understand the concept of having more tables to fulfill more orders. But, how can you chase paying customers away? After all we paid towards the meal and service charge? Definitely not going back there again. 2 stars for food only.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely rude restaurant manager
We booked dinner on July 24. After we paid, restaurant manager come to our table and we noticed that he was not wearing his mask properly. When we asked him to wear his mask, he told us not to come to the restaurant if we are scared of Covid. His attitude was SUPER rude. Overall service was very bad as well and we felt we needed to rush to eat when staff kept coming to our table to check if we finished the food even though we were still eating.
Be the first to ReplyNice food and atmosphere but pricey
Went over for dinner with a couple of friends. I must say they were quite patient with us because we changed the booking time a few times due to unforeseen circumstances. The location is great but parking will be harder(need some great parking luck here). Atmosphere was not bad although it was quite crowded and noisy. We had a table at the back which was slightly more quiet although the music was still loud. The server was friendly and recommended some really nice dishes. Padron Peppers - nice quick bites while waiting for the mains. Good for 4 people to share. Mushroom & Truffle Croquettes - Creamy and tasty. But donโt over order this because one piece per person is just nice. Lobster Avocado Caviar - I love this. Good for 2 to share! Octopus - Creamy with the pork nicely grilled. I couldnโt taste much of the Octopus or I was just not focusing because I was chatting with my friends. It is quite nice but I can skip this. Black rice with Carabineros - squid ink risotto that was very tasty but I would definitely want to share with someone as it is very rich. Iberico Suckling Pig - came with grilled pineapple. Skin was crispy and the meat was very tender. Slightly porky smell so you might want to skip it if you donโt like the smell. I didnโt mind the smell so I quite liked it. Overall, I had a great experience at the restaurant. It is slightly pricey so I would reserve for special occasions. RECOMMENDED.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant ruined our 20th wedding anniversary dinner
My friend recommended Olivia restaurant to me. I went to read the reviews on goggle and comments were generally positive. So I made a dinner reservation on Chope on 12 February 2022, more than one month In advance for our 20th wedding anniversary on 31 March. We reached the restaurant and it was crowded, ambience abit noisy. But it was fine to me till they showed me to our table. It was a counter top seating. I told the waitress that I reserved more than one month in advance and wasnโt expecting a counter seat. They told me they only have a few 2-pax tables indoor and all seatings were taken. I can take outdoor if I donโt want the counter top. I have indicated in the reservation that we are celebrating our anniversary but from the service we received, I am sure they were not aware and maybe canโt be bothered since there were so many guests occupying big tables. Totally disgusted by the way they treated us. It was like take this counter top seats or outdoor seats. I will not recommend if you are having an important dinner.
Luckily we managed to still have dinner at a Korean BBQ restaurant down the street. Glad that the food turned out yummy and service was good too.
Great ambiance and food, service very rushed
In terms of food and atmosphere, the restaurant exceeded my expectations. We had a table from 6.30pm and already the place was buzzy.
As long as restaurants stick to two seatings post-covid I won't give 5 stars as two hours (example 6pm to 8pm or 8.30pm to 10.30pm) isn't enough to complete your meal. This time at Olivia we skipped our desserts & cocktail and felt rushed by the staff with our wine and food. Most diners are of course very supportive with the post covid recovery period but it's time to go back to the normal seating plan.
As it's an expensive restaurant I'll wait for my next visit when the two hours seating limit is gone.
Fabulous meal and great ambience
We had a fabulous lunch with a variety of dishes all of which were delicious.
Service was great.
Wine was lovely.
Atmosphere also great.
All in all a wonderful place to eat and drink with friends and family.
One of my favourite places in Singapore :)
Worth the wait!
Weโve have had a wonderful date night. My husband and I enjoyed the appetisers, mains, and the drinks! Everything was consistent even with the service! Kudos to everyone. Weโll definitely be back in group once restrictions been lifted. It was worth the wait and I would reccommend to book it in advance as theyโre usually fully booked! The octopus was to die for btw! The price was very reasonable for the quality of food! โฅ๏ธ
Be the first to ReplyUnpleasant dinner
My first visit was for lunch and it was great. But, second visit this time for dinner was terrible. It was for my partner birthday celebration however the experience we had were so rushed. We spent so much there but we canโt really get to enjoy peaceful dinner. We have been to many restaurants but not like this restaurant experience. This will be my last visit to Olivia.

Brilliant service by team Rama and Reuben. Sumptuous and yummy catalunya cuisine. Worth a visit with family and friends! What a weekend when annouced is back to 2 in a group dining on 27 Sep 2021.
Be the first to ReplyNice ambience
We passed by Olivia a few times after having dinner at other restaurants nearby. Finally we made a dinner reservation. Warm service from staff once entered. Ambience was good. As we were not too hungry, we just ordered the ham croquettes, wagyu beef ribs, black cod and lobster roll. Was asked by the manager if we want the cheesecake for dessert, but we said no as were quite full. To our surprise, he brought us a big slice of cheesecake at no extra charge. Really appreciate your gesture! Thanks to him, we had to walk a bit more to digest our food after the sumptuous dinner lol.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Spanish Food
We had heard about this place and decided to check it out for dinner. Booking was done via Chope and we were punctual. We were quickly escorted to our table for 2 pax near the open kitchen. The menu is quite easy to follow and so was the cocktail and wine list. We decided to order some cocktails versus wine. We ordered a bunch of items from the 3 categories of the menu. We loved the eggplant, burrata and the tuna tartare was nice fresh with chunky tuna pieces. For the mains we had the squid ink risotto with red prawns. I must say that the risotto was delicious and flavourful. Cooked to perfection. The burrata was a bit runny, which was okay overall as it really tasted awesome. The Spanish dessert was as awesome and loved the presentation and the taste. The dry martini was really nice but rather pricey for $25+ or so a glass. Old fashion was nice too.
Service staff was friendly and the atmosphere was energetic and cosy. Normal water is chargeable ($3/glass)โฆ. Which was strangeโฆ oh well ! The restaurant is pricey but definitely worth the experience. We enjoyed our dinner and will surely be back here again once the covid regulations are lifted.
Not bad, but $$$
Was good. Drinks were fine and service generally v good.
For the price you are paying I did perhaps expect a little more prep time and quality to go into ingredients.
Great Spanish Restaurant!
Apparently this is a very โhard to bookโ restaurant right now, high expectations to start with. ... the food was amazing, every single dish we ordered was so tasteful, not only with a nice presentation, the seasoning and freshness of the ingredients score 10/10. However I was actually quite disappointed with the service, they probably are too popular these days and people had to book months in advance, (they donโt have to worry about business) itโs a pity that they slipped in service.... I felt like I was dining in a fast food restaurant...(hence one star off)
The restaurant atmosphere is nice, we were assigned to sit outdoor in the Terrace, at first we were a bit sceptical (with the hot weather in Singapore), but when we reached the restaurant, we were glad that we actually booked the Terrace because indoor was just too noisy to chit chat..
really nice ambience
Good Points:
Really nice restaurant, one of the nicest ambience I've ever seen in Sg I would say, the service is super attentive and friendly, sharing food concept, the right temperature inside, good wine selection, interesting menu and fair prices considered ambience and location is not the typical "rip off" of Singapore f&b nightlife. I would say a really nice option to consider for dinner with friends.
"Not so good point":
Not easy to find parking for those who drives, the food was nice but kind of average, nothing that makes you rush back the following week to eat there again to be honest.
After 8pm they dim the light way too dark, while you still eating and most annoying a restaurants with probably more than 100 sitting have 2 sharing restrooms where girls and boys queuing outside.
Overall I think is a very well deserved 4 stars out of 5 .
An awesome Spanish restaurant with great buzz
We had been meaning to try Olivia for a while and went with friends and we had a fantastic experience.
The service is exceptional. From start to end the team were attentive and recommended two cracking bottles of wine.
The octopus with pork belly was the star dish, closely followed by the grilled aubergine.
The vibe in the restaurant was fun and buzzy and although itโs not a cheap night out, we will definitely be back
