Definitely a popular and BUSY dining choice at Caesar's.
I'd say very very noisy but on point with the steaks house vibeSeems like they were struggling a bit but as I say gold star customer service are establishments and management that recognize the impact it can have on their patrons and immediately make attempts to rectify but platinum customer service is when they do it with out the patrons even mentioning it. Platinum star to homestead. Food was great, the scallops were perfectly cooked. The Wagyu steak was a delish piece of meet although could've used a little more flavor.

Had an amazing time celebrating a big birthday!! The portions were great and the service was amazing. We enjoyed the surf and turf with the lobster Mac and asparagus everything was so good! We were well taken care of and left well satisfied. The birthday girl especially appreciated the bonus crème brûlée!

Old Homestead Restaurant at Caesar's Palace was recommended when I made our hotel reservations. How disappointing! We were seated in the bar area that was very loud and difficult to socialize with old friends. Two of the three fillets we ordered were not cooked as requested. The Pinot Noir I chose had turned thus tasting like vinegar. The waiter was rude when I told him. He pour a glass himself and tasted at our table before bringing me a fresh glass of wine. He had to be reminded to bring my other guest their drinks with dinner. Our dinner for three with one drink each was $523.74 including tip. We were all disappointed expecting more from Caesar's Palace. I do not recommend nor will I go back! The next night we ate at the Eiffel Tower at Paris Paris and it was fantastic!!

I was never offered bread. I felt as if I was a 2nd class citizen, being rushed out of the place after I consumed my $160 meal. I'm giving 2 stars only because the steak and asparagus were phenomenal. The service, not so much. Server was cordial with tables on either side of me but all business with me. After paying my bill, I addressed my concerns with Vanessa, the manager who was polite and offered a free cocktail which I politely refused. I've eaten here before but won't again, certainly not alone.

After eating at Heritage the night before, heading here was a bit of a letdown in comparison. As I always mention, not bad by your normal suburban steakhouse standards (in fact super good food options), I was expecting more of a luxury experience given the location. This may earn them additional stars for future Vegas trips, but the Lychee cocktails tasted like pure nostalgia. The perfect balance of sweet with a nice refreshing after taste. A pretty nice respite given the copious amount of red meat we consumed.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was NOT good.
The steak was an embarrassment. I could have gotten a better steak at Applebees. The lobster Mac and cheese was watery. The "house" steak sauce is basically ketchup with sugar added. Just gross.

Ribeye steaks are incredibly thin (maybe 1" thick) and I ordered my steak Pittsburgh rare and it came out med well My co-worker ordered a medium cooked steak and his was well done! Manager said he was comping my steak, but did not. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place!!!

Fantastic steakhouse in Caesar's palace!! The food, the drinks and the wait staff were totally on point! Started with the oysters and caviar. Amazing! And we both ordered medium rare filets. PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned well. Better than Mastro's in our opinions. And we also added the fois gras and it did not disappoint. Delicious! Special shout out to our waitress, Kimberly, helped make a great night, extremely fun and memorable. Thank you!!

We took my parents here for their anniversary and I called ahead to let them know it could be my mom's last dinner out since she is late stage with Alzheimer's and asked them to make it special. They definitely did and the manager was sure to keep checking on us. The food was amazing and we loved the ambience and service. Much thanks to them!

The lighting is dark, old school style. The last few times in Vegas, we have been dining at a steak house for dinner. Honestly, I'm not impressed with Homestead. Had better at two other places. The dress code is also casual. It's less strict over the years. But please, still keep it at least business casual if you're not dressed to the nines. We ordered family style for 7 adults with multiples dishes to share.-Jumbo lump crab cake ($42.95) - my fav. Lots of crab-Signature meatball ($31.95) - has veal so I didn't try-Caesar salad ($18.95)- can't go wrong-Maine lobster bisque ($21.95) - creamy-24oz bone in rib-eye ($119.95) - decent-8pm American Wagyu rib cap ($94.95) - fat and juicy-Truffle fries ($24.95) - you're paying for the truffles-Loaded baked potato ($22.95) - way over priced potato-Lobster Mac ($29.95) - lots of lobster chunks-Roasted mushrooms ($21.95) - oily-Charred broccolini ($21.95) - bland-Truffle mashed potatoes ($26.95) - buttery richThe steaks are lightly flavored salt and pepper. The rib cap has always been my favorite but I wasn't blown out of my mind here. Both are tender and juicy but lacking something.Since it was President day weekend, we were told it's a maximum of 2 hours to dine.

The first sign that Old Homestead might not be worth the price was that I didn't see it on a single "best of" Vegas list when I was researching steakhouses. The second sign was that 2 of us walked up without a reservation at 8 pm on Sunday when the majority of good restaurants have no availability and were seated immediately (my friend happened to be walking through intending to grab a quick bite somewhere, and he asked on a whim). We had gone to Prime at Bellagio 2 nights prior. I would describe Prime as excellent, but not one of the 3 or 4 best steakhouses I've been to. Prime is an order of magnitude better than Old Homestead. They're not playing the same game despite similar prices. Details: -Thick cut bacon appetizer - it's good, but not memorable. -Fritto Misto (fried calamari/shrimp) - not something I would have ordered but my friend wanted it. It was on par with what I'd expect at a chain restaurant at half the price. -Mushroom side - over salted, but average overall. The same dish at Prime blows it a away. -Lobster Mac & cheese - continuing with the them, average. -24 oz bone in ribeye - yes, average again. I've made many better steaks at home. -Service - if we were in a standard national chain, I would say the service met expectations. Here, it was extremely disappointing. They seemed disinterested. Overall, Old Homestead is average. Average just doesn't cut it at this price point.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I have been going to Ceasars Palace for 11
My wife and I have been going to Ceasars Palace for 11 years. We almost always eat at the Old Homestead Steakhouse. It is expensive but we have always enjoyed the food and service. Tonight we ate there and I tried to order a steak ($109) with foie gras and the Old Homestead Steak Sauce. The server suggested a different steak sauce. I didn't really understand but I agreed. My wife and I had some appetizers and salads. Then they brought out my steak. I thought at first that they were returning to the kitchen to get my foie gras and sauce but they didn't. As my expensive steak was getting cold I had to ask for the remainder of my order. The server told me that they had messed up my order. They finally brought out the foie gras. I was still waiting for some type of steak sauce. Sauce finally arrived after I asked for it a second time and again they admitted that they had overlooked the order. I have never complained to a waiter in a my 47 years, nor have ever asked for anything to be removed from my check. I have also never written a review, good or bad. They did offer to rewarm my expensive steak so I could enjoy it with steak sauce. Obviously the best way to enjoy a $109 steak to to rewarm it like leftovers. Typically they tried to push desserts and a glass of wine, so they could comp it. We tried to refuse the glass of wine to no avail but we were able to avoid the desserts. They did not charge us for the foie gras. That is it, the manager must have not been concerned, he obviously knew about the mess up as we saw the server talking to him. He didn't come talk to us or make any other attempt to correct this mistake. I am not concerned about the money, however enjoying a nice, expensive meal in Vegas once a year is an experience that my wife and I look forward to. Instead I got an expensive steak that was dry with none of the sauce or foie gras that I ordered. The Old Homestead may be a nice place to eat when they get it right, if they don't, they don't really seem to care. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I would be happy to discuss the experience of being served an expensive steak with no sauce or toppings further with anyone who is interested. This is a complete lack of customer service. NEVER GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE HOW IT FEELS TO HAVE YOUR PATRONAGE TAKEN FOR GRANTED AND DIMISSED.Zane K
Be the first to ReplyPossibly the best steak I've had in Vegas.
A bold statement, I know. For too long, I've been bypassing Old Homestead in both Vegas and NYC for glitzier, buzzier destinations. I was wrong. So glad I finally put Old Homestead on the list. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and had great service at the bar for a pre-dinner drink. We were shown to our table at our reservation time. The dining room is loud! We struggled to hear each other. Service started off well. More on that later. I ordered the Elit-ini, a completely over-the-top martini. Possibly the most expensive martini I've ever had, but I'd go back tonight and order another one in a hot second. The martini was smooth, and the tangy and large but not tough olives were well-matched with the sharpness of some excellent blue cheese inside. We started with salads. Both the wedge and BLT were excellent. If you want crunch, go for the wedge. If you love thick pork belly style bacon, go for the BLT. We both ordered filets as our main. This is where the wheels started to fall off. Our server disappeared after we placed our order, and we never saw her again in the next hour and a half. Unfortunately, no one but our expediter seemed to be backing her up. We saw someone who was probably a manager taking orders at another table. I could see groups at other tables who arrived later than us receiving their food, having placed orders after we did. We waited nearly an hour between salad service and main service. We were about to ask to see if someone could find our server or check if our order had been put in. Finally, a different expediter appeared with our steaks. We began eating, and no one came over to see if our steaks were satisfactory, as is normal at steakhouses. Fortunately, the steaks were perfect! Salty, peppery, crusted on the outside. I love a Pittsburg prep, which not every steakhouse knows how to do correctly, but Old Homestead does it right. We could see the staff was scrambling to cover other tables, and our expediter eventually came over to see if we needed more drinks. I'll come back to Old Homestead and give them a second chance because the food was excellent. We were disappointed not to have some sort of explanation for what was going on because it was obvious we had a fail at our table, great dinner notwithstanding. I hope they work out their service issues.
Be the first to ReplyThe food here was horrible.
I ordered the lobster tail and meatball appetizer. As you can see the picture the meatball was very soggy, had no flavor. The lobster tail also had no flavor; it was very rubbery. It was very expensive; not worth the money. I don't mind paying for good quality food but this was horrible. My friends filet mignon was just ok; nothing special. Never again will we eat at this restaurant. The service was good.

surprisingly busy and loud; overall a good meal but agree with others that the price tag and wait times are a bit much. we ordered oysters and truffle fries to nibble on as an appetizer and they took 30 minutes to come out. truffle fries were a bust (soggy and very little truffle) but the oysters were good. our entrees took almost an hour to come out; personally i got the surf and turf and loved it, although i don't know that it warrants the price tag. also had the brussel sprouts (AMAZING) and ended with a crème brûlée which was fantastic. a solid restaurant overall, and definitely left full!

And such great service. Rebecca made my birthday such a special day. She is an amazing server and a great asset to this establishment. Thanks to all from the front of the house to the back. What a great night, thanks again.
Be the first to ReplyVery solid steakhouse.
I had the bone-in ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Service was great. Cool atmosphere at Caesars and the place is always busy. I am all for having the steak crusted in pepper, but the last visit was a bit overkill. Few times before that was better as it was not as heavy.

Rating this high because of how incredible the chopped salad was. Good portion and incredible toppings and flavor. Loved this. Best salad I've had in years. I got talked into the rib cap which had great flavor but was too fatty for my liking. Would go with the filet next time. We also got the escargot, bacon, and oysters Rockefeller. Escargot was good but none of those felt incredible.

I thought that the steak would be great but it wasn't. I can't even describe what we ate, well... it's suppose to be ribeye. But it just does not seem like it. And I mean my hubby and I are steak/ribeye type of couple. Especially the fact that what I paid for. Anyways, I wouldn't come back here. I would have rather spent my money elsewhere... NO PICTURES TAKEN COZ IT WASNT WORTH TAKING A PICTURE OF

Save your money! Cheaper to get an Uber and go off the strip to any other steakhouse! Flavorless steak, lukewarm fries, and burnt brussel sprout! Not impresse!

This place was amazing! The waiter was great and helped me figure out what to order. From the bottle of red wine to the crème brûlée was fantastic!
Be the first to ReplyHave to say we were really disappointed in this restaurant.
Ordered filet mignon, New York & the porterhouse. My friend chose this place but we should have looked at pictures beforehand because I saw that the steaks don't come with anything else on the plate. It's literally just a slab of meat on a plate - and that would've been totally fine if they were good. Nobody really thought the steak they ordered was anything special. Idk, we come from California so maybe the standards in steaks aren't the same.the sides we ordered also didn't meet our expectations - creamed spinach was super watery and not creamy at all. It had like the boiled spinach flavor (also for $18, the portion size is just a shame).Duck fat fries weren't anything special, tastes like regular fries but with a slightly different oil/fat taste to it.There's also no complimentary bread while you wait at least 25 minutes for your food to come out, which seems uncharacteristic for nice steakhouses. I guess what bothered us the most was knowing we waited 25+ min for food (after ordering) that disappointed every single one of us.We wanted to like this place! but sadly we will not be returning in our future visits to Vegas
Be the first to ReplyThe Caesar's Hat Trick was complete.
It was our Anniversary/Belated Honymoon, and in the previous days we dined wonderfully at Gordon Ramsay's Pub and Joes's Crab (q.v. my Yelpos for both). My Wife is from NYC, and a Steak Lover, so we HAD to visit this outpost of the venerable NYC landmark resto in the confines of Caesar's Palace. The place itself is dark, clubby and most elegant. We forgot we were in Vegas. Our waiter, "Jimmy the Mick" was absolutely perfect, and most entertaining. Wife had a Filet, I had Prime Rib. Both ridiculously good. All the sides were fab, the cocktails were too.Like the rest of the posh joints we were at, the tab was breathtaking, but worth it all the way. It was a true escape-dignified pleasure in the middle of the social maelstrom that is modern Vegas. You have to know what an Old Homestead is to understand a cheap Vegas Casino Steak...
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I dined at the Las Vegas location last night.
We had the most wonderful waiter- Rocky! Everything from our salads (Caesars and wedge) to steak and lamb chops and fries and Brussels sprouts to the chocolate cake for dessert was fantastic! Yes, it was expensive but worth it! We will be back again!
