Dinner before Game 5 of the ALCS
Finally got time to make reservation and enjoy this restaurant before a game. I was not disappointed. We got to the Stadium early and we were seated right away. Our Waitress was so helpful with advice on what to eat and she was super friendly which was really nice. Actually the entire staff were very kind and helpful. The GM of the restaurant was a real gentleman and Navy Veteran. He was very pleasant and greeted everyone and was working very hard. He seemed to really enjoy his position. I’m so glad we chose to eat here because it was a wonderful start to a great night and a winning Yankee team.

Very good upscale steakhouse conveniently located right in Yankee Stadium. Great place for dinner before or after the game. Specialty is steak and I recommend the bone in rib eye. Sides are all good but the lobster Mac and cheese is really good. Also, the bacon appetizer is delicious. Service was friendly and professional. Only fault was our entries took along time to arrive. Seems they were backed up in the kitchen.

Decor was cool and prices were hot! Nothing comes with your entree. Everything is ala carte. Steak was not the best I ever had. Creamed spinach as cold. Drinks were those thin glasses with tons of ice that are gone in three sips. Service was pleasant. I don't mind paying if I love my meal but I can honestly say I won't be going back here
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Steak Experience Great Pre-Game experience
This place has old time service if you like the typical New York steakhouse experience which we do. Professional which some tourists, like Californians, might feel is abrupt and not nurturing, we happen to like it as part of the Yankees stadium "attitude". It's just a great relaxing way to start a playoff game against the Red Sox. Our server Oliver was great and was properly rewarded for it, another typical NY concept. Four of us shared a "Tomahawk" steak and a separate dish of two grilled lobsters.. The high quality meat was perfectly medium and cut on the bone to make it easy to share. The veggie sides, Brocolini and Spinach were properly cooked and flavored appropriately with garlic and oil. The mashed potatoes were smoothly blended to a perfect texture. Wine. A cautionary note. There are two lists, one completely out of our reach and another with recenty decent wines in the $50-60.00 price range. We had a very good Sangiovese from Antinori, a perfect companion to the steak.
Be the first to ReplyBrilliant pre-game meal
Our party of four decided to have an early dinner (4 pm booking) at NYY Steak before a 7 pm game. This was a fantastic way to start the evening.......the food was excellent and so was the service. After our meal it was a short 5 min walk to our seats as the restaurant is located after you have gone through security. It is, however, an expensive restaurant.......with minimal alcohol consumption we spent well over US$100 a head.
Be the first to ReplyAttractive Atmosphere and Decent Meal
We dined here today with a special offer from the Yankees for tickets to the game and a prix fixe dinner. They publicize the menu in advance, which is good because it's fairly limited. The items offered are on the regular menu. My husband and I both started with a Caesar salad. He then had chicken and I had filet mignon. Both meals came with mashed potatoes, and mine with cooked vegetables, my husband's with salad on the side. The only dessert choice was cheese cake, but they accommodated my husband's medical issues by serving him fresh berries, without charge. Everything I've mentioned so far was decent. However, the bread was not warmed and perhaps a little stale, the spreads served with it were both in my view nasty (they were unrecognizable) and since the only offered starters were salads, my husband was perplexed to receive additional salad with his main course, contrary to the menu which stated he would receive vegetables. This is probably the nicest ambiance restaurant in the Bronx, and the service was good.

Stumbled on this place on route to the Rockerfella. Great food and service, the best place found on our short stop so far.
Be the first to ReplyBlah-Not Impressed
Party of 5 stopped here after a Yankees game. Service was good and friendly. Steaks were just okay. One had to be sent back as it was close to well done instead of medium. Asked for bread for the table. Got very stale rolls. Salads were good. Sides, (over) baked potatoes and the garlic mashed were mediocre. I can’t recommend this place. Not impressed. (BTW:address is 161st, not 61st)

After taking the stadium tour, we went to the Steakhouse for a good dinner. The focus is on steaks, but I got seafood. My husband had a steak so we wound up with surf and turf! Our food was well prepared and very tasty. Our server was very chatty and friendly. The restaurant is noisy and crowded. Much like the City itself!

If you're looking to have a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere before a game, this is the place to go. Yes, it's expensive but it's well worth it. The wait staff are awesome and make the whole experience worthwhile. Thank you!
