Delicious food, great atmosphere.
Delicious food, reasonable prices, amazing staff- say hello to Vincenzo & Uliks (Ulysses). Highly recommend bruschetta, arugula salad, tiramisu- you can't go wrong since the whole menu is great.
Be the first to ReplyI had the pizza ortolana and arancina norma.
The arancina was nothing particularly impressive - literally just a giant ball of fried risotto. It definitely wasn't worth $16. However, the pizza was very good - the crust was chewy, there was plenty of cheese, and the vegetables added just the right variety of flavors.

Had a great experience here!! I was dining alone and it was a very comfortable environment. The bread that came with the meal was good and very fresh! I ordered the crochette di patate, and the anelletti siciliani pasta. The crochettes were a phenomenal starter and I loved the dipping sauce. They're basically fried potatoes with a soft inside. My anelleti siciliani was a baked pasta dish, and it was also delicious. It all tasted very authentic -- of my favorite italian spots in the city now. Eating the leftovers now! Servers were all very nice :)
Be the first to ReplyThis is a place that actually disappointed us.
Much of the food is very good, some a little underwhelming. Bruschetta was topped with tomatoes straight from the fridge and tuna salad seemed to have little tuna which might even have been tinned - you couldn't tell. Pasta dish , Anelletti Siciliani was excellent. The desserts seem to have taken a huge hike in price. The two lovely desserts we had were priced at 40% more than the current online menu (restaurant not takeaway). Also apparently the previously free bread and oil is no longer free it is now $4. If you don't want to pay you get 4 dry pieces of bread. The service was a bit over the top. We had two waiting staff continually prowling about 6 tables which was a bit intrusive. Unforgivably our mains arrived before we had completed our bruschetta and the plates were shoved around to fit on the table without any thought for how we would feel. This actually was our most expensive meal whilst in NYC when we thought it would be better value.
Be the first to ReplyA real gem.
Pasta brought me back to Sicilia and the gluten-free pizza is incredibly delicious, not to mention the great service and delicious wine selection - Sicilian wines of course. We eat here every time we get to be in the city.
Be the first to ReplyTheir food is typical Sicilian.
In particular, their arancini are so perfect. If you're a non-meat-eater like myself, their Norma arancini are the best. Try them out. Their desserts are divine. I love this place. Great ambience, and the staff are courteous and accommodating.

Norma is a nice Sicilian restaurant recommend from the Michelin guide in Hells Kitchen. We decided to come here on a Friday evening. The restaurant does not take reservations online or on the phone so we came in person. Luckily we did find a table to seat us and they did accommodate us having a baby stroller. We started off with their Burrata which was fresh and creamy. It was followed by Frito misto, a seafood platter of shrimp calamari and fried zucchini. The calamari were fresh and crunchy, and squeezing lemon on the plate definitely enhanced it. We also ordered their margherita pizza which was ok but nothing special. For pastas we ordered their pasta alla Norma. This was the star of night, definitely my favorite dish here, the pasta sauce was out of this world with little eggplant and pecorino & ricotta salata cheese. We also ordered Tagliolini al ragรน di agnello e caprino which was their spaghetti with lamb meat and goat cheese. It was good too. My only take is that they didn't have many pasta dishes that didn't include pork. Kind of limited our dishes but overall I was very happy

I have since been back and just wanted to say the carpaccio di polipo is a must must try. The pistachio tartufo was awesome as well. Same top notch ingredients and friendly/vibey service.

It's about time I gave Norma a review given that I go frequently. Norma offers solid pizza which I get every time I visit. The pasta Norma, the gnocchi, and the cannoli for desert are the other standbys. I typically get the bresaola or the friti as a starter, if I'm getting one. The Sicilian sandwiches and the arancini are less exciting imo. The drinks are solid. Give a try.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite spots in the city.
The food is consistently great. Can't go wrong here.

Spot on Italian ambience, made me feel like I was dining in Italy. Their wine list was extensive and their servers had a vast knowledge of the menu. Their mushroom pasta was amazing as it had fresh porcinis, the pizza was good, although it was hard to compete with Joes, but their caponata may have been my favorite dish, as it was so unassuming but perfectly balanced sweet and savory. Would be happy to dine here again!

Lovely decor, great service (all thos Italian speaking guys!), and the food is really tasty. We spend summers in Italy, in various areas and this is as good as it gets.Go there. Now!

This place is adorable! The interior and staff are very friendly. The menu is great. I'm partial to Italian food based off the county and I love this mid-southern inspired Italian menu. Arancini was a tad over done. However the house pasta (traditionally named "Norma") was fantastic- super Al dente which I appreciate! Will def go again!
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely try this restaurant.
Service attentive. The four of us tried a variety of Italian dishes and enjoyed each one. Great Negroni.
Be the first to ReplyWarmly greeted for a late weekday.
Atmosphere was warm an inviting. Restaurant was not busy, but they sat as at a tiny two top. Wine recommendation was spot on. Food was excellent with generous portions. I highly recommend the Pasta alla Norma.
Be the first to ReplyTime and time again, Norma's delivers.
...and I don't just mean delivery. Every time we've had Norma's, whether dining in or delivered, just for two or for a large group, the service, food, and drinks are always consistently good. We've had:Arancini (rice balls)I don't think you can go wrong with any of the four options, but my current favorite is the Ragu. Sizeable and shareable, delicious and tantalizing for the main course.PizzaSo many good options here, too, but the two most notable are the Diavola with spicy salami, and the Margherita, which is simple yet made extremely well PastaPasta alla Norma and the Lamb Tagliolini are the favorites all around for their pastas and the Taramisu finishes it all off nicely. I was even more surprised when the pasta, arancini, and taramisu held up extremely well when we had them delivered - tasted like it had just come out of the oven / kitchen, yet packaged perfectly. While the cocktails are good - Norma is definitely about the food. They've also got a significant wine list, too! While the service is on point and the ambiance is nice, what keeps me coming back is the amazing Sicilian cooking. Definitely recommend, and great for a date night, too.
Be the first to ReplyGood food.
Cute place. Decent people, servers. Will go back and try other items on menu.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food.
Feels like you are in Italy. Staff is top notch - so welcoming, warm and pleasant. Would 100% recommend!
Be the first to ReplyThis place has so much potential, but regularly disappoints.
Overall food is great, but regularly have problems with food being undercooked or cold. Service is hit and miss. Sometimes good, but have also waited 15 mins for water and witnessed cooks and waiters get in yelling fights....Hope they figure it out, could be great.
Be the first to ReplyFood was amazing and very authentic Sicilian.
ย Atmosphere was cozy and service was outstanding. ย Thanks Alessandro for the best meal we had on our trip to NYC.
Be the first to ReplyI don't get the hype of this place.
Sicilian food isn't high end Italian food, but the prices here ย make it seem that way. ย We dined inside and it wasn't busy. ย We had the carpaccios and eggplant pizza. ย It was more out of curiosity since the outdoor seating is always busy. We don't like the narrow sidewalk dining. ย Anyway the ย pizza was overcooked, not hit because it was sitting there and the eggplant didn't taste fresh. ย Same for both of the carpaccios.Alessandro was ย our waiter was totally inattentive. We waited a long time and our saw our food waiting to be brought to us. He didn't care because he was talking so loud to another table bragging that his mother is Norma, so he's not working his tip obviously. Still no excuse for shoddy service. Bad food and service equals not returning. This is NY so many better places for Italian food.
