😍 5/5 - I stayed at the Crown Perth specifically to eat at this

I stayed at the Crown Perth specifically to eat at this restaurant, a good bit outside of my budget for the stay, as well as the dinner. But as they say, "You only live once." And living with regrets isn't living at all. And... Worth every darn penny! Wow, what a dining experience! My goal was to do the Teppanyaki (pricy), but for some reason changed my mind at the last moment. It wasn't anything in particular, except when I glanced at the menu I noticed the Half Lobster with Black Bean Sauce. Bingo. Then I noticed that I had selected the most expensive thing on the whole menu $80+AUD. And since I was now committed to an expensive evening all by myself, I went ahead and added Oysters and Spicy Truffle Edamame. And without alcohol I was now well past the price of the Teppanyaki!!!! LOL. There is no way to convey how marvelous the lobster was--soft, rich and elegant. And I don't think I'll ever forget the Spicy Truffle Edamame. Fantastic. As for the oysters... I'm from Virginia where we have access to Blue Point Oysters from the Bay, as well as a number of other varieties from all over the East Coast. So it wasn't that Nobu's version wasn't delicious, I just have to remember to remind myself that I come from practically the oyster capitol of the world and need to temper my expectations. No shame on Nobu. If you've not had oysters, try them there at Nobu's, you won't be disappointed (and no I don't know anything about whether or not they're an aphrodisiac).Grand total was over $150AUD. But, here, you get what you pay for.
