How awesome to be entertained while dining!
We had a family gathering where they welcomed all of us including children! We ordered our dinners and watched such an entertaining show as each dish was prepared! Plus they were so cautious of my shellfish allergy!

Little has changed since my family ate at Mori โs several years ago. It is still kind of dark, with multiple photos and drawings posted as you enter, the food and cooking show are great and tasty, Mori is still running around making it all work! He takes reservations, greets guests, seats guests, and is the bartender! He makes great martinis and Manhattans! Three of us found the food fantastic! We all had steak, shrimp and fried rice. My grandsonโ s chicken, however, was over cooked and too chewy for him to enjoy. Didnโt know this in time to bring it to Moriโs attention. The only change I noticed, since we started coming here 20 years ago, is that none of the chefs seemed to be flinging pieces of shrimp about... is that a dying art? Iโll ask Mori next time we enjoy this tasty treat!

Amazing place!! Heard about it on theskedge.com and just WOW :) The seasonings they use for their meat is just incredible. I love this style of food. Will be coming back again once I save some money lol

Always loved the food here but it is getting a little old, I wish they would add something else to the menu. The new Grills in the area have it more together. They need to brighten it up a little.

Wonderful Teppan grill. Staff is friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. Great place to go in a group for a fun night out.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent as always
Mori never lets you down. Still greeting guests and keeping a watchful eye over proceedings, Mori puts on a good meal. The food here is ever reliable and the prices havenโt changed (or not by much) in years. You can choose what you want on the grill from steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops, salmon and calamari and get just about any combo. Everything comes with the salad with shrimp dressing, the soup and either fried or normal rice. You wont leave Moriโs without feeling completely satisfied. Limited but reasonably priced drinks list, does include cocktails and even Dom Perignon for those so inclined.

This place was a regular for us when we lived in Glendale. We vacation in Glendale every year and a dinner at Mori's is always on our agenda. Small menu but cooked to perfection. It was absolutely packed on our last visit, a Saturday night, and we were lucky to get a table. Always fun as you never know who you'll end up sharing a Grill Plate with. Chefs always put on a great show. Good for kids as well.
Be the first to ReplyInteresting locale but average food
Recently are here in a visit to California. I will admit it's cool to see all of the photos of the owner with celebs but that is where the uniqueness ends. The food was fresh enough but everyone in our group thought the fried rice was bland. The dipping sauces were average as well but where was the traditional yum yum sauce?? That was a huge dissapointment! It's obviously very popular because of huge crowds though so Make a reservation for sure if you want to try for yourself.
Be the first to ReplyWas "Get Smart" ever filmed here?
This is a place where you can imagine Max and 99 feigning a transaction with a KAOS agent while the Chief and Larabee hide behind an "oriental" screen waiting for the pre-arragned secret word. Meantime, the other diners are enjoying a teppan meal in a dimly lit restaurant curated enthusiastically by Mr Mori, who seems to have found the secret to immortality. Enjoy the photos of the owner with celebrities in the entryway, then sit down and enjoy a straightforward but tasty meal, prepared at your table by one of the chefs: knives twirl, onions are fashioned into tunnels of fire, and then the meat and fish on your plate shows that the show was not just show. The beef and shellfish are very good. True, the salads could bear some improvement. But I find that the personal touch from Mr Mori and the enthusiastic crowd makes this dining experience fun as well as tasty. It is decidedly not fancy, but it is distinctive, slightly smoky, and enjoyable. The teenagers in our group were especially enchanted.
Be the first to Replyร good experience
It looks like a real Japanese restaurant. Better to book in advance as you may wait up to 1 hour to get a space. 2 coins will hi from tables to tables to grill meat or fish in front of you. There is some cรฉrรฉmonie when preparing the dish. In the end, the meat and fish are not super well cooked but you enjoy the experience. Not too expensive. Service is efficient and the owner is very nice
