MONO+MONO New York Reviews from The Last Year
Mono Mono is probably one of the prettiest restaurants in
Mono Mono is probably one of the prettiest restaurants in NYC (and I don't say this lightly!). As soon as I walked in, it was easy for me to see why it had begun trending on TikTok. There are fresh flowers everywhere and entire shelves full of records. It's certainly a *vibe* and definitely worth the visit. The food is pretty good, but skews more on the expensive side. I ordered the bulgogi kimchi fried rice + a fried egg, which came out to about $25. The portion filled me up, but it was fairly standard as far as fried rice goes. Seperately, don't get the mochi ice cream flight. The mochi tastes stale (like it's been sitting out for a while) -- you can get better mochi ice cream at Whole Foods. I've seen a couple Yelp reviews about the service, but overall I didn't have any complaints. Our server was pretty attentive and the food came out quickly. Overall, such a cute spot and I would come again to try their happy hour!
The decor is beautiful, that's for sure.
The food wasn't bad. Have had better Korean food but it was tasty. Service wasn't bad too. I give it a try once place and see if you want to go back. The biggest drawback is that they're cash or AMEX only.
Date night at mono+mono was so nice.
We got the potato wedges for appetizer. The potatoes were well seasoned, however, kind of basic. I still have the place 5 stars because the main course and drinks were exceptional. I really enjoyed the lychee white peach martini. It was light and refreshing! There are several different seating areas, including the frames and around the bar. I hope to sit around the round centerpiece near the bar next time! The place is cash or Amex only!
Perfect date spot!!! As I entered into this spot I couldn't
Perfect date spot!!! As I entered into this spot I couldn't stop awing because the interior was beautiful with flowers arranged! They only accept amex or cash fyi. They do have atm machine on the way back as well. The ambiance was gorgeous with great kindness of services. They've also got great taste of music. We ordered a glass of sauvignon blanc, highball and soju cocktail with two half dozen oysters. Oysters were so fresh. Next time I would like to try different dishes and definitely will come back again already became my favorite spot that I gotta spread the words of this stunning place!
Great space, very cool atmosphere.
Food was delicious, highlight was the truffle jap chae. Loved the food, definitely worth the hype. Would highly recommend.
Food was amazing and came out fast, staff was very nice
Food was amazing and came out fast, staff was very nice constantly checking if we needed service was great staff was nice and love the dj they had
Mono Mono is a cute spot to embrace the ambiance.
The decor is really nice. The food and drinks are great. Everyone should try the Bulgogi kimchi fried rice, really delicious. Don't expect the best service from here. I would recommend to order everything at once. Overall I had a great time and I would come here again
The ambiance here is top notch! Very aesthetically pleasing.
The picture framed seating was everything. This restaurant gave a warm feel, cute vibes for a date night. The service and food were really good as well.
Pros: I had an excellent virgin mojito w/ a surprising
Pros: I had an excellent virgin mojito w/ a surprising amount if fresh coconut and mint leaves. The decor and space is great. The walls full of albums is so great & I was there w/ a number of musicians so we really enjoyed that. Cons: the service was really terrible. It's not that the staff had an attitude, but we asked for menus FOUR TIMES! & finally when we got them, we were told that we had 5 minutes to order because the kitchen was closing soon! We literally were waiting an hour for menus, & they only brought 2 for 5 people? . (One person had to leave right away because it was clear that the wait would be ridiculous). Our second rounds of drinks never arrived. (Some of us drank alcohol & some did not). Also, they included gratuity w/o saying anything (for 5 people?), which I always find a little shady, because I'm fine with including gratuity if they make some effort for service (like just communicate if there is a hold up, it was not that crowded), but I do think it's appropriate to mention it. They were foolish on that score because I always tip well, & will frequently tip beyond the set gratuity when there is one, but in this case I did not. I recommend that such a nice place train their staff better, or just hire more professional people.
Definitely an experience dining here because of their decor
Definitely an experience dining here because of their decor - I found their flowers, records, and books around all very unique! My friend and I came in the afternoon on a Saturday when it was raining, and we were seated immediately. Their happy hour offers are great so we went with drinks and then wings and fried rice to share. Although food was as expected, they unfortunately got our drinks order wrong - pretty funny situation. we ordered 1 raspberry rice wine sangria and 1 omija rice wine sangria and when the waiter brought it out, he placed the drinks down but they were both red so we weren't sure which was which. When we asked him which was raspberry and which one was omija, he swapped our drinks and said now it's right. However, when we took a sip we both had the omija! Ahahah we even tasted each other drinks and they were the exact same haha
Lovely place!
Awesome little place. Great ambiance (DJ rocking vibes on a Thursday night) the place is beautiful and funky. They have a whole huge wall full of old records in back, and little niches were you can sit couples making it really romantic and interesting. It’s really cute and sweet. Good Korean food. Menu could be more expansive, have a bit more choices. The potato wedges and street corn appetizers were great. My pork loin, the bulgogi hamburger and fries, trufle japchae were all tasty entrees. And the mochi were fantastic little desserts. I’d go back. They only take cash or Amex though, so come prepared. Great experience.
5 stars
Excellent address in NY. Nice atmosphere and excellent food. Menu not huge but better that way. Few but well-groomed dishes. Considering the prices of the city, excellent value for money. Highly recommended
A unique and artsy experience with excellent food to boot!
You enter through a flower shop into a dining area that is both unique and quirky with soothing jazz playing over the sound system. Start your meal with one of their signature cocktails, you won’t be disappointed! The food is well prepared and seasoned to perfection! Ask your expert server for recommendations! We would return in a heartbeat!
Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!
Tbh this is THE worst experience ever to have dinner in the city. I reserved a table for party of 5 @5pm last night. When we got there some waitress assigned us to a rectangular table that is obviously only suitable for 4 people. Thus three of us had to sit shoulder by shoulder on one side. My wife asked if she can sit in between (on the shorter side between the long ones) the waitress said NO. Then we noticed that there was a bigger rectangular table for 6 (3 seats on each side) available right next to us and asked if we can switch over the waitress then became upset and said that’s the table for 6 and this is the table for 5. Later their manager came over we raised a question that for rectangular tables if you don’t allow people to sit in between it’s either for 4 or 6 people not possibly for a party of 5. The manager seemed really arrogant and said I’m sorry but this is our policy and turned around leave without any further explanation. We ate our food since one of my daughters didn’t want to switch restaurant after the long ride but later we surprisingly found a mandatory 18% tip was already included in the bill with additional tips (range from 15-25%) still suggested —— they didn’t even give us a chance to complain through the tipping. Btw, during our entire stay, the bigger table for 6 was completely empty but they just decided that we don’t deserve a comfortable dinning experience. This restaurant doesn’t accept Visa or Mastercards which we only found out by the time we arrived (after a $250 deposit already paid for the reservation). The food is just so-so with normal prices comparing to other places with same level decoration (great for taking pictures). Most of the waiters are polite while waitresses are usually with bad attitude or being super arrogant. They have a tiny and stink restroom from where you start to realize your money is indeed well spent…Will NEVER go back to the place and will definitely WARN anyone who wants to go just because some of the pictures that they saw from the internet — the same mistake that we made to choose the place…
Enjoy your time in this restaurant! You will have fun!
Nice place, nice people, very good vibs. Music is high. Not too much but you have to stay close to your frinds to not miss the discussion. Food is ok. I strongly suggest.
More of a grift than a restaurant. Look elsewhere.
This place is unashamed of using every trick they can to cut their costs and maximize yours. They charge a $100 cancellation fee within 24 hrs (I asked and yes, they really will charge you). They only take AmEx, buy you can use their ATM and they can pocket that fee from you. The wait staff is non-existent. It seems like a normal table-service restaurant, but you will not know your server's name, they will speak minimal English and they will rush both to bring you plates and to take them away (even if you aren't finished). A wholly unprofessional operation with decent but not amazing food. The only amazing thing is the interior.
Perfect!
The food here is truly incredible. The wings are exceptionally crispy and bursting with flavor, making them some of the best in the city. Additionally, they offer wonderfully creative cocktails with an Asian-inspired twist that are refreshing and packed with delightful flavors. The ambiance and decor inside are breathtakingly beautiful, creating the perfect atmosphere for a date or to impress someone special.
No cocktails available.
After all the social media buzz i decided on giving this place a try. The ambiance was nice but no cocktails available. They had no bartenders to make drinks. Food was average.

Good Afternoon. It looks like you have requested a name transfer for Carbone NY. Unfortunately, this is one of the restaurants that is almost impossible to do name changes for. They don’t accept phone calls so they are difficult to change the reservations that were booked online.
