Quaint spot on 31st ave and 33rd street serving breakfast
Quaint spot on 31st ave and 33rd street serving breakfast starting at 9am. Surprisingly small space indoors, but in good weather they have a ton of outdoor seating on the street and on the sidewalk. Very much a diner vibe with the Jetsons on TV and the condiments and served out of metal lunch boxes. Service was on point. We waited a little bit for our food, but the restaurant was 2/3 full at 10 am on a Friday. We ordered chicken and waffles and avocado toast. The chicken was perfectly breaded and crispy. I would 100% order this again. The avocado toast was also good, but not the best ever. For these two items our final bill was over $50 (with nothing to drink except water). The portions are large enough to share if you are not starving. This will be my new go-to spot for weekday breakfast and brunch!

Our waitress Iman was so sweet and gave great recommendations. She made the experience enjoyable! The Mac and Cheese is amazing!
Be the first to ReplyMom's is the cutest little restaurant you'll ever see.
These service was good and most of the food was delicious. We didn't care for the short rib grill cheese. The atmosphere was nice and cheery.
Be the first to ReplyFood - 4.
5 Service - 4 Atmosphere - 4 The food here is delicious and plentiful. I ordered the chicken bacon and waffle, and it was everything I hoped for. The chicken was crispy, the waffle was savory, and the bacon was thick and delicious. It has a little sauce on the top that includes a Cholula syrup. I was stuffed after eating it. I also tried the bloody Mary. Delicious and filled with fresh horseradish. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is cool. It's a tight spot but worth the visit.

We went to Mom's Kitchen in queens for my grandson birthday on a Sunday March 3. We had a little wait but it was worth it. We was seated outside but it was comfortable and heated. Our server was patient and efficient, we had a large group. Benny was the hostess in the front and kept us informed until we were seated. He is an amazing person and great at his job. The food came out hot, and delicious. We had the shrimp and grits, pancakes, and chicken and waffles...Just to name a few dishes. The drinks, momosa specifically, was great. We will definitely be back.

Went to Mom's for a birthday brunch and it was great for the occasion but I don't think I can stomach the food all the time. Think the munchies meets greasy hangover food. Weird combos that work but eat here once and you'll be set for the rest of the day.

While exploring options for breakfast in NYC with friends, we stumbled upon Mom's Kitchen. Upon arrival, we found the space to be smaller than expected, and as it was crowded, we were seated outside despite the rainy weather. Though heaters were provided, it was still quite uncomfortable. The menu boasted a variety of enticing meals and drinks, including gigantic mimosas that delighted some of my friends. Our orders ranged from breakfast sandwiches to steak and eggs, avocado toast, and soup, and everyone was pleased with their choices. Initially, our waitress was attentive, but halfway through our meal, her presence dwindled, and it took considerable time to receive our check. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was satisfactory.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite restaurants in Astoria.
Great drinks, food, staff and ambiance. I recommend the Nutcracker

Food is great but apparently you need all your guest to be present to get a table. I asked for a outside table for two and I was denied to be seated because my husband wasn't present with me to be able to seat. Tip: go to Halsey's instead! Same menu, great staff and NO BULLSHIT.

Order:- Chicken & Bacon Waffle (4/5)- Pancake Burrito (4/5)- Cookies Stand (5/5)Pros:- Great tasting brunch - Extremely large portions - Milkshakes are super good and aesthetically pleasing Cons:- Very busy for brunch, so come early or be prepared to wait Overall: Great tasting brunch. The food is definitely on the sweeter side, so it's not you're typical breakfast spot.

Went for a weekday brunch, it was quiet and nice which I loved. Server was attentive and food was amazing. Will be coming more often here!
Be the first to ReplyThe vegan chicken sandwich was SLAMMING .
I think our server was name Robbin I think she was amazing sooooo sweet . We absolutely loved her . The chicken sandwich though bomb. I literally ate everything like everything . Even the fries was absolutely delicious . My only reason why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is the space is soooo small . And hard to sit comfortably. But the food covers for it . Delish
Be the first to ReplyI just adore the kitsch and personality of this place.
.. It's just pure fun. I've never looked at a menu with so much delight! Absolutely love the creative names and concoctions. When I was trying to figure out a nice, fun brunch place for our teenager daughter, I remembered how my husband and I had gone to the Hell's Kitchen/restaurant row location in Manhattan and how we've never gone to the location in our very own Astoria and thought, "Perfect!"We loved everything we got, which chicken and bacon waffles, waffle taco (huge!), bedrock pancakes, and Bowl of Soul (tomato soup with a grilled cheese). I really want to try one of their fun cocktails next time!If you go midday on Sunday for a brunch be ready for a wait. But we were told 30 min and I think it only took maybe 20.We'll def be back!

I had gotten many recommendations to this place by several of my friends so I decided to give it a try with my boyfriend and his mom. The wait was pretty long since it was a Sunday afternoon so we waited for almost 50 minutes for a table outside which I wasn't too pleased about since it was cold outside and the door kept getting open and closed. The good thing is that is was heated. We ordered mimosas which were actually quite large but weren't that strong, they mostly had ice and orange juice. The food itself was actually very delicious. We ordered their pancake burrito which was a huge burrito made of pancake that could feed two people and was filled with scrambled egg, bacon, cheese and sausage. It was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and bacon waffles which came with a delicious sauce and cholula. The chicken was crunchy and the waffles were fluffy. I would return to try their other items on their menu but not for their drinks.

Since it's been a while with my most recent visit figured it was time for an update! This may be one of the few places where the pandemic helped them out since they had to create the outside seating before this wait times could be pretty crazy since the location is pretty small inside. We stopped by & were told 25-30 for a table outside inside would be longer no biggie we stepped away to do some shopping but that was cut short since we were texted probably 10-12 minutes later! We returned & once seated we order drinks I tried the Campfire Cutie I must say it was great, loved the taste good on the alcohol hubby had the Cinnaboozy Latte decent as well. Appetizers we tried the Buffalo Mac & Cheese balls, yumm they were so good. I had the Waffle Taco this was good, great tasting waffle, plenty of eggs, cheese good sausage & home fries. Also tried Pancake Burrito lordd all mighty this thing is hugeee easily feeds 2 people interesting combo here it was good. Tex Benedict tried this a previous time very good, great Side of Bacon since it's that thick cut style delicious! This place is certainly one of those that is more about treating yourself , I mean the dishes are pretty big & for the most part not the healthiest of options. Fun decor inside the outside area is covered & heated so that's a plus, service was good & prices are reasonable we enjoyed our brunch as over the top as this place is it is certainly still worth the try.

The food was super tasty! There were so many diverse options for brunch. Our waitress was super kind and the vibe was so cool. Definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyCame here on a quiet cold night.
The drinks and food were amazing. I love that the outdoor seating area has heaters so though it was freezing out, it was super cozy. My only complaint is that the waitress took FOREVER to give us our check. It was a bit slow and we waited like 35 min for our check.

I came to this location first and loved it so was very happy to discover there was one closer to me in Hell's Kitchen! The menu is so fun and creative. The portions are very large and I can never decide what to get. This is a place that I often recommend to guests who come to visit because it's a great diner!
Be the first to ReplyI went to the one in midtown and this one does not
I went to the one in midtown and this one does not disappoint. The wait can get pretty long and you will understand why. It's childhood food on steroids. Every dish is so creative, and fun, and brings out your inner childhood joy. Must haves and must try are the heavy metal fries with short ribs and bedrock pancakes. My gosh, the short ribs are so tender and pull apart with all their glory. The Cinnaboozy latte was also so deliciously dangerous. The bedrock pancakes were something else too. I don't love pancakes but these pancakes I adore! We also got shrimp grits, waffle taco, and steak and eggs too. Everything was good except the steak was not the best. The vibe is amazing and so is the decoration. Not to mention how large the portion sizes are - must try!!! They do charge a credit card fee so bring cash if possible.

I've been here on a regular basis and I had to give a serious shout out to this fantastic place especially the bartender Marcus who makes the best patron margaritas I've ever had. The food is something special and I've never had anything here that wasn't terrific. The all day brunch is a great idea and I'll be coming here for a long time

I have ordered from here a couple times and everytime they forget my milkshake. The food is always different from what you see pictures of...I tried to call to complain but the 12 year old girl that answered pretended she couldn't hear me and hung up repeatedly! Very unprofessional and inconsistent place!
Be the first to ReplyWe stopped by here on the way to the airport.
It's not super close to the airport, especially when you account for traffic, but we didn't miss the flight. So if you want to have a great meal before a flight, just time it well & you'll be ok!We sat outside in the sidewalk seating. The drinks were great! I like to taste & feel my drinks which I definitely did! Thumbs up bartender! The food was great. My test for food taste is if it tastes good cold it's amazing. & these leftovers were super yummy as I ate them cold during my flight. We all got the plates, 1 chicken, 1 shrimp and 1 steak. Each plate comes with two sides. We tried the carrots, mashed potatoes, Mac & cheese, sweet potato waffle fries and cauliflower. The only item that was iffy was the Mac & cheese; taste kind of powdery to me. Service was great and overall we had an amazing time. I posted a vid on tik tok, trindi.darling , to view in more detail.
