Momed Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Wonderful experience.
Every dish was perfectly executed and exciting- duck liver pate with sour cherry gelée, Brussels sprouts with pomegranate and herbs, grilled octopus with the best white beans I've ever had, and lamb belly with flat bread, herbs, peppers. Lovely setting, nice tableware and service. All top notch, can't wait to go back.

Update 5: Things have changed a bit, and while still good, I miss a lot of items that made it stellar. I would still call it high-performing, but clearly downgraded a star. Okay okay, the avocado humus, muhamara, burrata, Brussel sprouts were wonderful, the octopus and the jidori chicken, whereas the wild mushroom manti delicious and the tajine were a bit disappointing. And the olives, I returned. Update 4: Momed even post COVID continues to be a wonderful foodie oasis, and two guests of middle eastern background shared their positive impression. However, it is very sad that the delicious flat breads have been taken off the menu. Update 3: It is time to give Momed a 5th star. There is almost no better way than to show a friend from Boston what the L.A. culinary world has to offer than to go to Momed: not the best neighborhood, not super-chic but definitely very cool and trendy, comfortable, extremely friendly and hospitable, relaxed - and hey really superb food!!! Among many dishes tried this time, I fell in love with the lamb tagine with dates and pears. In the end, there is not much that can go wrong here - except not to have a sufficiently spacious stomach! Update 2:This is a winner and one of my all-time favorites. There is virtually nothing that could go wrong here. The food is delicious. This time, the selections included the usual and inevitable 5-Mezze, Momo Chips, and Persian Eggplant, followed by a Veggie and a Beef Tajine with pears and plums as well as couscous, and a grass-fed burger. Not to forget about the dessert which barely fit but had to happen: Basbousa and Turkish coffee and espresso. Just a feast for the palate. But also the ambiance is great - except that in the so cold California winter, it can be a bit chilly near the door. Update 1: Frequent returns have not lessened the positive impression at all. Rather the contrary: the more often I have been here, the more I like the setup with outdoor dining, great food and very nice service. Appetizers are all great, as are the salads, flatbreads, and plates... ... except the price appears to have gone up and really is a $$$ than a $$. Original review: What an unexpected jewel this was: hiding with its beautiful and very spacious interior and/or outdoor seating in midst of a rather murky neighborhood. But boy, it was worth it: delicious mezzes, fig and arugula flatbread, light hangar steak with lentils and lamb kebob with fabulous vegetables and spices, as well as the momo chips - all beautifully presented. And not to forget the cute dessert which is a bit too sweet and not really a tiramisu, but nonetheless an excellent finish, paired with a Turkish coffee with almond milk.
It was extraordinary experience for me and my family.
Great taste all around the restaurant. Food was delicious and customer service was impeccable. Nothing less and even better than Beverly Hills Avra restaurant!
Omg did not disappoint, everything was absolutely delicious.
Alex the owner came to our table and he was very nice hands on and helpful with his staff. Thank you to the amazing chef Vartan for his incredible food and creative presentation. It was a wonderful Mother's Day with my beautiful family. We had a great time and excellent food Tiana and co workers were hardworking, efficient, helpful.

Ambience was good and our waitress was nice, but overall a very disappointing experience. Slow Mother's Day service. Order was delayed further because it was delivered to the wrong table so they had to make it again. When the order finally I arrived our steak was undercooked (I assume it was rushed because it was late).

My husband and I went for the Mother's Day brunch today and were extremely disappointed. He ordered the fried chicken and waffle. Upon cutting into the chicken, we found that it was severely undercooked, very pink and bloody inside. In other words, not fit to be eaten. We told our waitress we wanted it to please be cooked longer. A few minutes later, another waitress came by to tell us that the chef adamantly insists that there is nothing wrong with the chicken and refused to re-cook it. Our original waitress came back to apologize and mentioned there have been other complaints such as ours, but the chef will not budge on his stand. We decided to pack up the chicken and take it home to finish cooking it ourselves. Needless to say, we will never be returning!
The food was really good.
Definitely recommend the chicken shish (amazing sauce), khachapuri and chocolate pot de crème. If you're looking for a good Mediterranean food spot, this is definitely one to try! The staff was very friendly and the ambiance was nice.

LOVE this place! Beautiful ambience, delicious food, and incredible drinks. Parking is convenient, which is a breath of relief for a LA restaurant.
It's fun when you can add 5 star to the last 5 stars, but I
It's fun when you can add 5 star to the last 5 stars, but I wish I could give them 10, it's just that good. Let's start with Rebecca, our server. The food and ambiance is only as good as the service and she was THE BEST. She approaches the table timely, but not overwhelmingly. She is insightful, funny, and authentic. Rebecca offered great suggestions, validated our feelings as we ordered and savored each and every thing from a gluttonous approach. The options are so good that it is hard to choose just a few. The easiest choice was to only pick one of the cheese options, whipped feta or the seasonal burrata, for which I think we should have ordered both. Next time. I'm sorry Rebecca, but as much as I want to marvel about your service, we must move on to the food and drinks. We started with "What's Good Here?" and "Give Peas a Chance" with names like that, you just have to order them. While the Give Peas a Chance looks dainty, it packs a punch with milagro blanco tequila, lime, mastic liqueur snap pea, mint, and black sesames sprinkled on top. It is delicious. On to our wine, not just because I'm celebrating my 62nd birthday, but because it's what we do. By the way, it's Tuesday and on Tuesdays bottles on the top half of their menu are 1/2 off. We were able to snag a bottle of Faust Cabernet, regularly 96 on the menu, but not today! Prost! We started with the duck liver terrine, served with a black cherry mustard and piping hot pita bread. The seasonal burrata was up next, because you can never go wrong. I wish I had the right description for this other than, "it is friggen amazing." This dish was served with roasted asparagus, hazelnuts, orange something or other, and other ingredients that I can't remember... don't be deterred from ordering this based on my horrible description, it by far was one of the best dishes of the night. The squash blossoms... YES. These heavenly crispy and beautifully filled blossoms were out of this world. Filled with feta, ricotta, nigella seeds, preserved lemon bagna cauda, and sprinkled with parmigiano reggiano. They only serve 3 to an order, and Rebecca was kind enough to mention that we may want 4, but I opted to let my husband splurge on the last one. After all, there was more to come. Last dish of the night... until desert, here comes the grand slam of the night. Lamb belly. That's right. The perfectly crisped lamb is served on a freshly made lavash bread, and adorned with pea tendrils, sumac onions, tomatoes, garlic toum, serrano, and pomegranate seeds. Do NOT miss this. It is unique and exceptional. Ok, I'm full and if I'm not, I have a bigger problem to address. But here comes Rebecca, doing her thing, leading us to a beautiful birthday rhubarb rose crisp, served in a piping hot cast iron dish and topped with homemade vanilla ice cream. Check please! We left happy, feeling celebrated, and with the thoughts of returning asap. The service is exceptional by all wait staff, not just our server. The runners were excellent and other servers who dropped things off. The manager stopped by, also a very nice touch, especially for those of us who understand the restaurant business. MoMed, keep up this wonderful thing you have going here. The chef is a mastermind and creative in his work and presentations. LOVE everything about our experience. Parking is free in the provided lot, as well as ample street parking.

Wow. Okay. Totally unexpected. The food is worth a dinner out. So unique and full of flavor. Asparagus with zatar? A caesar salad chopped like I've never had. And the pavlova! You can't make this meal at home. The location is unexpected, but once you're seated it's like you are in another place. Not a quiet place. Don't be surprised to hear a train ride by just near the restaurant. But that's what gives the scene character. An inviting, string of lights, backyard ambiance to take your friends for a night out to socialize and explore unique food.

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
