The best 30 euros spent!
I was struck by the beauties of this almost unreal house. It looks like a house that has just emerged from the waves of a sea made of stone with algae caught on the balcony railings. It is clear proof of Gaudí's creativity and ingenuity. And the attic allows us to understand its mystery. It feels like being inside the skeleton of a dinosaur and it leaves you speechless. Everything is studied down to the smallest detail to surprise the visitor. And the surprise reaches its peak when you go out onto the roof: a spectacle! The ticket money is well spent.

Good visit to Casa Mila today. Much quieter and easier to negotiate than Casa Battlo was despite same timings. I would have liked to have seen more examples of the living quarters areas in Casa Mila. You see a typical apartment that was rented out - which was interesting. But’d luke to have seen the grandeur of Mila though. The attic space was interesting - and the roof top - but lacked the colours of Battlo. My favourite parts were the entrance hall area for cars with the beautiful staircase and butterfly wing gates, defintely worth a visit. The cafe was great too .
Be the first to ReplyIt had to be Gaudi!
When man dreams and builds buildings like this appear... the reason why some details were inserted must be seen and understood.
Be the first to ReplyUndulating Architecture
This is one of the superb Mondernista buildings, originally apartments. Very unusual undulating design. It's on everyone's bus tour and walking tour, so be prepared for big crowds. But since it is located on the wide Passeig, you can step back and get a good perspective and a good photo.
Be the first to ReplyEqually amazing and less crowded than Casa Botllo.
A Gaudi masterpiece. Very lovely and less crowded than Casa Batllo, though be sure to get your ticket in advance. First floor that is open to the public is a former apartment and is furnished in the time period. The “whale attic” is amazing with lots of models of other Gaudi buildings. The roof, while famous, may cause vertigo. The steps are very narrow—not for the faint of heart! There is a wonderful restaurant around the corner called Dora. Delicious and very pleasant.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful building, very well organized visit
Beautiful building by Gaudí, which as he himself said was "his pretty girl." It is advisable to book tickets, which are hourly, very well organized and you don't feel at all that there is overcrowding inside, as if it happens at Casa Batllo. The route is impressive, the attic area one of the hidden gems. A must visit if you go to Barcelona
Be the first to ReplyA marvel waiting to be visited
I am not a big architecture lover but I found myself marvelling over the imagination of Gaudi and beauty of his work. Very impressed indeed
Be the first to ReplyLoved it! Amazing rooftop
We had a really fun time here! It’s a bit more museum-y than casa batilo but also a lot less crowded. The rooftop is really cool and so is the attic. We did casa batilo in the morning and la pedrera in the afternoon and it was perfect
Be the first to ReplyWonderful site almost ruined by management.
Casa Milá is a beautiful place and visiting the roof was a memorable experience. Make a point to visit in the early morning-otherwise it’s so crowded it’s hard to enjoy. I found the museum itself to be poorly run and not like a museum but rather a for profit business. I was taken into shops countless times and not allowed to use the facility toilet.
Be the first to ReplyGive priority to visiting here rather than Sagrada Familia
Can learn much about Gaudi here especially in the attic with its models & methods of construction for various sites. Helpful staff and we used the free digital guides you are given on entry. They follow you round and the recording changes where ever you are in the building. We had two highlights - the fully furnished apartment - quite large with various rooms and original furniture of the time [early 20th C]. Much thought given by Gaudi to the layout, for natural lighting etc. The other highlight was, of course, the roof top with the various chimney types and air vents. You miss much if this is closed due to bad weather, so rearrange if this happens. Good views over the city.
Be the first to ReplyLa Pedrera, Barcelona
I bought a premium ticket to La Pedrera. It was a worthwhile experience because the ticket allows you to visit special rooms in the casa. Silvia, my guide, was delightful. Her love of working in this environment is evident. We ended the 90 min tour with a chilled glass of cava and delicious cookies that popped in your mouth. I highly recommend this guided tour.
Be the first to ReplyGaudi's Best
We simply loved this place. The interior areas are special, but the roof sculptures were even better. What an experience! Be sure and spend some time in the gift shop. We collected some nice Gaudi-themed items as souvenirs.
Be the first to ReplyHow does the rain rain water out
Having seen Casa Batlló earlier, I was a bit disappointed in this visit, the best part was the roof, lucky it was sunny that day. The housing was not that special although I did forget to ask when it rains heavy waster coming in the middle will run on the ground floor.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Staff - Helpful and Understanding
The people here at Casa Mila were so nice. We were not able to make it at our time slot and I emailed the company to change times and they were very professional and helpful. They changed out times and we were able to enjoy out tour there. Thanks for be so helpful and understanding Casa Mila and working with us.
Be the first to ReplyDecent Visit
I certainly appreciated the architecture more of this building but you only get to see the lobby and the rooftop and the attic area. We spent about 1.5hrs total here as well and given the smaller areas, it felt a bit more crowded. Still worth a visit though.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful architecture
A must see in Barcelona, I have visited 4 times and had never been to Casa Milor, it was well worth the time and expense and for an art lover was magnificent
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful at Night
Beautiful and informative. It was really cool to see the roof top and city at night. We enjoyed the cava at the end as well. Be aware you will need to climb about 6 stories to get to the attic then a few more steps to get to the roof. You will also need to climb back down. There is an elevator for those who need it. We booked these tickets in advance.
Be the first to ReplyNot really as advertised
The ads for this tour show amazing pictures of a light show on the outside of the building. The night tour actually is a small light show on the chimneys on the roof, it was ok. The tour starts in the lobby area of the home and that was very interesting to hear the history of the home and look at the beautiful architecture and decorations. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate. After this we climbed 6 or 7 flights of stairs to the attic. There is an elevator, but the guide made it seem as if we’d miss something amazing by using it. Take the elevator, you see the same things on the stairs down later. The tour was then in the attic which is someone of a mini Gaudi museum, this was interesting. It would have been more interesting if we could have heard everything the guide was saying and seen all of what she was talking about. The group was too large to see everything and she repeatedly started talking before everyone had moved to the next point. It is not as if people were lagging behind either. Following the attic is the light show on the roof and then a glass of cava or juice and a small dessert. All in all this is a neat spot to visit, but the night tour isn’t really anything special.
Be the first to ReplyDon't miss the guardians of Barcellona
Another stunning work by Gaudi! The apartment itself is boring, but the attic and the rooftop are stunning. The brickwork of the attic is amazing, inspired by the story of Jonah swallowed by a whale! And the rooftop, protected by guardian knights, gives great views of Barcelona! A must see!
Be the first to ReplyGaudi - Architect and Engineer
Gaudi was as much engineer as he was architect. This was a great representation of his creativity and genius. It is definitely a tour to add to your itinerary in Barcelona.
Be the first to ReplyLoved it. Definitely a “must see”.
Casa Mila is in our top 5 “must see” places in Barcelona. We really enjoyed walking through this. Gaudi was definitely a visionary. Best to buy tickets in advance as they are a bit less expensive than at the venue The rooftop view was beautiful. Many photo opportunities. Interesting things around every corner.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect combination of modernity and history
The underground can easily reach the destination. You can feel the charm of the building just across the road. I bought a full ticket, including VR. The visual interaction design of VR is very good, and there are many language choices (including mandarin). There is also a photography service, you can choose the background. The view on the top floor is awesome!

We didn’t go inside this building but it was super impressive on the outside. The iron on the balconies is just wow
Be the first to ReplyNot stroller accessible!!
I was excited to return to Casa Mila after visiting it years ago with a school trip. This time I was bringing my parents and my son (19 months old). I checked the website beforehand to try and determine whether the visit would be doable with my son in his stroller - I had successful visits to other museums earlier in the week by bringing my son in his stroller at nap time - he slept through the visit and I got to enjoy the exhibits and didn’t have to worry about him disturbing other patrons. On the website I couldn’t find anything specific to strollers, but found impressive information about accessibility for visitors in wheelchairs and with mobility issues. I mistakenly assumed this meant the exhibits would also be accessible for strollers.
When I arrived, I found that I was expected to leave the stroller in the checked bags area. As I was given no choice, I did this and attempted the tour with my son without the stroller. This was really not a good experience. He quite enjoyed climbing up and down the stairs on the roof, but once we got to the attic, while he was well-behaved for a toddler, he was still, well, a toddler, and I had absolutely no chance of listening to the audioguide or seeing any of the displays while also making sure he wasn’t disturbing other guests. I quickly left the attic, but found that the furnished apartment area was even less suitable - I had to carry him to ensure he didn’t touch any of the period furniture or cross the barriers into the rooms, and as he is too heavy to carry for long, I basically skipped the apartment and ended my visit having seen nothing in detail but the roof.
I completely understand that some attractions are not suitable for young children or for strollers, and I would have been more than happy to skip Casa Mila if I had known this was the case. But the information available on the website was insufficient to make the appropriate decision. My understanding now is that while the tour is accessible for visitors with reduced mobility, such visits may require personalized facilitation by the museum staff. I do not at all expect such accommodations for me and my child, and would not want to divert those resources from less mobile guests. I just wish I had had accurate information to inform my decision about whether or not to visit Casa Mila with my son. Hopefully other parents will see this review and make a better choice than me!
All of this being said, from what I remember from my first visit and what I was able to glimpse during this visit, I would highly recommend this attraction to visitors without small children - a really unique building with seemingly very well-done displays about Gaudi's work.
Try the night show
If George Lucas was truly impressed and influenced by the Gaudi chimneys and structures, you'll see it in the front of the Sagrada Familia and on the rooftop here. Darth Vader, stormtroopers. The rooftop lightshow is fun, and the view of the Madrid streets on a clear night is beautiful.
