I ordered takeout from here a little while back (December I believe) with a bunch of others. The people inside from the little time I was there seemed friendly and the food overall was very tasty. The only thing I had extra from mothers below is the soy milk which as someone else said is a bit watery but it is a nice portion.Hong shong kao fu/烤麩/四喜烤麸 Simply listed as kau fu, this is made with braised wheat gluten and mushrooms and it's one of my favorite Shanghainese dishes. The flavors were excellent and the mushrooms and everything else was cooked properly. Overall it was a very tasty version with my only minor fault being that it was perhaps just a little bit too sweet but still not too much (with the ginger helping.)Beef noodle soup/#红烧牛肉面 I ordered this as my main dish. It was nicely packaged with the soup and braised beef separate from the fresh noodles and bok choy. The noodles were properly cooked and the beef was nice and tender with a good amount of fat but not too much for flavor. The broth was fine with a five spice and star anise flavor as expected with a bit of heat. Good portion also.Fried eggplant in a spicy garlic sauce/#鱼香茄子 We ordered this as a side vegetable. Big portion as per the other dishes and tasty with a good spicy sauce.Fried fish in sweet and sour sauce/松子全鱼Another person ordered this at their main and like the beef noodle soup, it was packaged with the cut up fried fish separate from the sauce. The sauce was not overly thickened with corn starch and it was sweet with a lot of pineapple. The sauce was fine but it's not my personal preference.I don't remember the exact dish the last person ordered though I think it was a spicy chicken dish (probably kung pao) and I don't remember much outside of it packing a good amount of heat and that it was also tasty.Overall the food here was very good. I unfortunately was not able to try anything with pork because we were sharing some of the things or else I probably would have gotten a different main dish. However the main dish I happened to get was quite good even if it wasn't particularly a Shanghainese dish and the rest of the mini was also good. No real complaints here. Obviously more expensive than going to parts of Woodside or some other areas but the portion sizes were large and the woman who gave me the food was nice. Mid 4.
