Market Venice Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
The food was great and the service matched.
I recommend this popular Italian restaurant. Heads up, around 10/10:30 they remove the dinner tables, a DJ booth is set up, and it becomes a dance spot. Looking forward to checking this place out during the day on the patio.

I love the Spicy Vodka Pasta meal at the nice place we had dinner at one night. Nice outdoor and indoor venue on the beach to have a romantic dinner lover and friends. We sat out in the patio to enjoy more of the view of the place. It was cold to, so we ask the guys could they bring us a heater. Place is great with good menu choices . Nice staff and cool place . I'd love to come back.
I met two friends here last Thursday and I loved this place.
My only complaint was some dishes like the bruschetta are very small. And the wine pour is very small for the price. We had pasta and trout both so delicious and the olives and several salads, all sublime. Our waitress, Danielle was a joy and gave us an excellent experience. Another minor annoyance was we were told they had people waiting for our table and they may have to move us! Danielle smoothed it over apparently and we stayed put. While spending $400 for dinner I don't think I should lose my table! The vibe is friendly, service excellent and the food very delicious! By the way, they don't take cash!! I'll be back for sure. Also there is a parking lot 500 feet from the restaurant FYI.
Mid and overpriced.
The spicy vodka pasta here tastes like it was made with store bought pasta sauce. Kanpachi crudo tasted like a dish I could make at home, nothing mind-blowing. Not worth $26. Does every dish need to come with cheese? All our pasta dishes including the salad was excessively grated with parmesan. Left feeling stuffed yet unsatisfied lol. The espresso martini was good, but the negroni tasted like straight cough syrup. Service is alright, for sure on the slower side. But good thing they didn't make us wait to get seated.
Peak ambiance.
Dim, moody lighting. We ended a food tour here on a rainy evening, and the heaters on the patio made for the perfect cozy atmosphere. This spot oozes sophistication and class, yet the service is impeccable and completely unpretentious. Peter was our server and he took extra care to explain the nuances of each dessert we ordered. Our group all went for a round of cocktails. I couldn't resist the ultra whimsically named dolphin in a bow tie, which was a mixture of watermelon, basil, and tequila, some of my favorite flavors. I liked it at first but it wasn't really my taste actually - I just wasn't a fan of the watermelon juice, but it wasn't bad. The desserts all shone. We got the basque cheesecake, sweet potato creme brulee, olive oil cake with a mascarpone whip, and a hazelnut mousse. The olive oil cake was by far my favorite - thick but still airy, perfectly salty and savory while still light and sweet, carmelized crust with crunchy crumb, the smoothness and fullness of the campari olive oil at the heart of all of it. Truly divine. Loved the sweet potato mousse as well - the earthy, vegetable flavor really grounded the sweetness and made it a more rounded dessert. Cheesecake predictably delicate and delicious, really robust. The mousse was great too. Apparently this is a newer addition to the neighborhood, and definitely on the more upscale side - but a truly great destination for a special evening. Impressive for sure. I recommend, and I'd for sure love to try more here!
Went tonight with a group of friends.
Towards the end of our dinner, before we received our check and had just received our dessert, the manager (Travis) comes over and tells us he needs the table. We told him we would leave in about 10 minutes and that we didn't even have our check. He said he needs it before 5 minutes are up. We proceeded to get ready and paid our bill. We took a quick picture and he walks over and says, we must have this table now. He was very rude and dry! None of us had ever experienced anything like this. I went back in 5 minutes later to get his name and 3 tables our size were empty, including ours!! We will not be going back to this place!!
Solid food, pricey.
Tuna crudo was delicious, and various pasta dishes were good but not phenomenal. Menu limited not a ton of choices. What is really a shame about this place though is that except for one friendly bartender, the staff adopts the attitude that they're doing you a favor. We arrived to join some friends at 10:00, and were at first told in a smug nonchalant fashion that there wasn't any room to seat us with them until 11. No reason for this as there was plenty of room. We were then after a big hoopla seated in the spot where our friends were stationed and they were asked to go to the bar. Well that's not much fun. Especially since the place where they were was a standing spot that could've easily accommodated a few more people. Then after about 15 minutes it was made known to us that we would have to move from that spot for some reason or other. OK guys, you're not that special, get a grip, lose the attitude. There are enough scene-envy idiots to probably sustain this place for another year or two. Since I like being treated in a hospitable fashion and there are plenty of better choices I won't be back.

The food, ambiance, and service here is phenomenal! I am a local so consider myself lucky but I would travel to come here. Travis, one of the managers, has been a super gentleman and accommodating from the very first time we came here. All of the front of the house staff is hospitable and lovely. Thank you to the whole team
Fantastic cocktails and food.
The seating is different- many high seated tables where the bench is comfy but the chairs have no back. The vodka pasta is tasty but spicy, the squash blossom ravioli is yummy, the mushroom pasta very good, and the hangar steak has an amazing flavor and was perfectly cooked! Lastly, the olive oil cake was excellent with a nice orange flavor
Will NOT be returning, I've never experienced such horrible
Will NOT be returning, I've never experienced such horrible behavior from staff. The two male managers there were absolutely so disrespectful & rude. The food is MID, at BEST.. Everything I got was.. edible, but I won't come running back here anytime soon, especially after how I was treated. Everything is overpriced, so save your money.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
