50th birthday dinner
Excellent dinner with typical dishes. Celebrated 50 years with family with excellent typical dishes. Highly recommended for families and couples. You can breathe the air of the place, certainly frequented by tourists and it still feels like being in a tavern. Excellent food, wine and location.

Historic location, impeccable food, cellar and service, attention to even the smallest customer, carefully prepared traditional dishes, raw materials truly used by masters, the best soups tasted in the valley, amazing first courses, second courses accompanied by sublime polenta... What say if you pass by there after a trek, a ski or a winter walk, take a refreshing break in this warm, welcoming place where a smile will accompany you..

My partner and I found this little place by chance and we really enjoyed it. Nice environment, with a welcoming atmosphere and a warm flavour. Staff friendly, helpful and very attentive to detail. From the appetizer to the dessert, each dish had its own character and delicious flavour.

I can't say it was bad in the end decent. A note is not written fois gras if it is not a bloc of fois gras and in any case it must be taken out of the tin first so that the gelatine disappears. The dessert with embarrassingly whipped egg whites

I am celiac and lactose intolerant, they told me on the phone that there was a menu for celiacs. once we got to the restaurant the options were lamb chops, meat tartare or lake fish (I don't think there were many options). In any case, something must have gone wrong in the preparation because the next day, unfortunately, I was ill. ...

Elisabetta, the queen of typical Aosta Valley and Cogne restaurants It has always been one of the historic restaurants of Cogne, once without rooms and in my time the nightclub down the street from "chez Louis" if I'm not mistaken restaurant with wonderful typical Aosta Valley cuisine and a cellar that pairs very well with its dishes environment furnished in modern, elegant Aosta Valley style with efficient, professional and very kind staff the quality of the food is slightly higher than the price paid It has a few tables outside.

I dined twice in a week in the restaurant, enjoying both typical dishes such as fondue and seupetta and imported dishes such as New Zealand lamb. In all cases the dishes were delicious and excellently plated. For the wines, some very appropriate Aosta Valley reds were recommended to me. A welcoming environment which, together with the kind and friendly staff, contributes to spending pleasant evenings. The price is just over €30.00/prs.

We ate here 2 days in a row. Just loved the ambiance the staff and the food. Just a typical restaurant that you’re really happy to have found. The welcome was really warm and they looked after our son really well. The polenta with fontina was excellent and the trout delicious. There was a really solid wine list and they found a bottle off list when I mentioned a wine that I particularly liked from Aosta. There was also a good Brunello du Montecino that we really liked. It really was a very good experience and I highly recommend it if you’re lucky enough to find yourself in the beautiful cogne. The welcome, the food and wine really warmed you up after a days ice climbing.
