Abrupt cancellation
So... we booked a table in April for early August, confirmed, .. and on July 18th we got a message explaining that they'll be closed in August and that they cancel. Not even a word of apology. Morality: 1) They lack basic customer relationship skills. 2) They're probably badly managed ... and 3) they're definitely out of "to do" list. Avoid.
Be the first to ReplyMassively overpriced
The food was ok but the atmosphere cold and the service just workmanlike. There was a divide between the two dining spaces in the restaurant — with the one to the rear apparently much more convivial than the one we were in. It left is wondering why we had not been given a choice. Above all, though, we would say this restaurant offers poor value — it is greatly overpriced for what is in the end a well executed but unimaginative reprise of classic Lyon dishes.
Be the first to ReplySuperb food and service. Highly recommended.
I have not been in Leon in years and could not believe how beautifully revamped they made it. The toilets are incredible as well with a view on the wine cellar.
The service firstly is superb, lovely gentlemen really attentive, warm and friendly, not pretentious at all.
There are different menus to choose from and I went for 'à la carte'. The 2 amuse-bouches were superb and so was the bread selection, which is always a great sign because small details should count as much as the main attractions.
I started with the small raviolis which was delicate and wonderful, the chicken main was lovely and tender with a delightful gratiné rice and morels.
My sister had the Crepes Suzette and although at first I was skeptical that I would like them, I tried half one and wished I had ordered them.
It is rich in flavour in all the right places and watching him make it is always a treat.
My own dessert was very nice too but I wished there was more choices for desserts as I would have loved to see the classic profiteroles on the menu.
I look forward to coming back one day soon!
