Must visit when in Courchevel
A gem of a spot and we came here by coincident as our reservation was at Baies but we went the opposite way and landed at La Chalet de Pierres and what a beautiful lunch we had! The location is fab right on the slopes, the vibe is amazing, the food was good although i wouldnt recommend having the Cheese Fondue here as its not their specialty and we struggled with the heating of the pot (would ask La Chalet de Pierres team to look into this please as having fondue is really a ski highlight :) Would def return here if we are ever back in Courchevel. Felt very authentic and not pretentious.
Be the first to ReplyNice place, possible food poisoning
We ate lunch out outside 2 days in a row while on vacation in Courchevel. Loved the atmosphere and the DJ! First day we were able to get a table at the restaurant part as a walk in. I had fish and it was a tasty dish. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Second day as the weather was beautiful we came back but only were able to get a table in the bistro part. I had a fish soup…. Followed by being pretty violently sick with all the symptoms of the food poisoning few hours later. If there is a chance that less than fresh seafood was used, would love the restaurant to look into it.

Very nice place! Tasty food and good service! We had lunch there 2 days in a row and I would say everything was delicious.

Just thought to complement restaurant’s vegetarian side of the menu- very creative and tasty dishes that are quite reasonably priced. Will be back!
Be the first to ReplyArrogant waiter
When we arrived at the restaurant, there was no one at the reception. We went to the restaurant and asked a waiter. The waiter we asked a question was very rude, he gave arrogant answers and exaggerated his rudeness with his hand gestures. The receptionist who came at that time spoke to this waiter and with his suggestion, far from being polite, he said that there was no vacancies. Meanwhile, more than fifty percent of the restaurant was empty. The manager lady we conveyed the situation to was very kind and compensated for their rudeness by helping. When we left the restaurant, the restaurant was getting empty rather than full. One rude act can ruin the entire positive image of a five-star restaurant.

We visited this place, having a confirmed reservation through our hotel and we arrived on time. At the reception a rude employee told us that they have a lot of people waiting and he doesn’t care. After our complains we called another man, and finally they “discovered” our reservation. AVOID THESE RUDE PEOPLE
Be the first to ReplyGreat lunch in a fabulous position
We had a lunch stop for three people here and thought the food had improved since our last visit in 2020. The staff were helpful and unfazed by two of us wanting to share a starter and a main dish at the same time. The prices are very high particularly the wine list but then you have to pay for its superb location and the ski valet service at lunch times.
Be the first to Reply€1100 skis stolen from the front where the ‘ski valet’ was looking after them.
I came here to have a drink and catch up with some friends. When we went to grab our skis there was one pair missing. These skis has specific bindings to the boots and could not be used by any other boots. Not only was the ski valet ignoring us when we had realised they had gone missing, he also made out he could not understand English (after a lovely conversation in English upon our arrival). After this I reached out again to the ski valet and asked for help as to how we would get down the mountain without the stolen skis and he again ignored and offered no support. He did not provide a taxi number or any assistance as to how we could get down the mountain. After spending €400 on drinks and this was the service we received… absolutely appalling. Avoid at all costs.
Be the first to ReplyAwful place with arrogant staff and terrible food.
We were left waiting for our table for ages even though there were lots of empty tables. Both meals were like canteen food and incredibly over priced. Staff arrogant and disinterested. Really need to up their game here. Will definitely not be back

Dreadful service. Disappointing food. Ordered wine which never came. A restaurant we won’t be coming back to. They did have a roast chicken for 2 for a mere €149 though.
Be the first to ReplyJust fabulous!
Yes it’s really expensive - let’s get that out the way. But, you should know that before you sit down, and if you want to treat yourself in Courchevel this is a must visit. A wonderful terrace with good music (from the DJ), and the service and food were faultless. I wish I had taken our waiter’s name - glasses and pony tail, perfect English. He was first-class. And did I mention the desserts. OMG. Can’t wait to return. Thank you CDP.

We thought the location looked amazing and had a good atmosphere with a real buzz. But we found the service was very mixed and when we got the bill we nearly fell off our chairs! Completely overpriced! Would go as far to say it’s a rip off! Never paid so much for a cesar salade, literally a bit of chicken and lettuce, nothing special!
Be the first to ReplyFantastic place excellent food.
I had the best time here for lunch. The outdoor seating was lovely and so was the weather. Good music mostly and the food was fantastic. Excellent sea food platter and the best truffle burgers-Yum! Staff was helpful and service was good despite it being full. Highly Recommended.
Be the first to ReplyFood perfect, service perfect - weather perfect..!
Food for skiing companion and children was generous and excellent. I see complaints about the prices - but if you eat out in the UK you could pay the same for rubbish in a poor environment and service. If you consider the childs menu. Beautiful meal for €21 plus 7 for a lemonade and €12 for a very large shared dessert. people forget UK prices need to add service charge and exchange rates. There is a games area and free popcorn too so adults can have a longer lunch [prob buy more wine] !!
Be the first to ReplyAwful customer service
Very very poor customer service. We asked for a table, a lady told us to sit anywhere and pointed at several tables. We then asked a lady if we could order and she said if you want drinks you need to move. We said we wanted drinks and food. She then got her manager over who was wearing a fur scarf. She asked very rudely who told us to sit where we were and we said a lady at the front she then said I am the owner it doesn’t matter what she said. To which I replied we will leave. On all occasions the staff and especially the so called manager made us feel unwanted and unwelcome. All we wanted was to have a drink and some food! All tables were empty. Do not visit. No atmosphere and awful customer service.

We had a good laugh, we ate and drank well but the bill was excessive, indeed I should have looked at the prices before ordering, the staff was very good and provided good service, very good music
