Lovely place for an informal dinner.
This was a great little find. It didn't look too inspiring from the outside but it was really quintessentially french inside. The waiter was attentive and the food traditional. The charcuterie plate was small, and the camembert very garlicky but all in all a really quaint experience.
Be the first to ReplyA restaurant to know to have a good time without spending too much
A really nice place (setting and decor). A pleasant welcome and efficient service… fast but not too fast while knowing how to remain discreet. Hearty sandwiches or casseroles. A gargantuan dessert (cheesecake) that is best shared except for those with a sweet tooth. In the end a more than reasonable bill of 110€ for 4 (aperitif, a glass of wine, a main course, a dessert, coffee or tea). In addition, we were able to linger in this place even though the weather in Bordeaux was terrible. We will come back without hesitation.

We are eating right now in this restaurant, the service, the food, the atmosphere, everything is perfect, a very good choice if you spend a few days in Bordeaux. The tartines are delicious. Highly recommended.

Simple but quality catering. Lots of homemade products. I highly recommend this address. It was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyI do not recommend
The servers are very busy. I had the feeling of being disturbed. The dishes are not plentiful and not tasty. I don't recommend.

Very good atmosphere in a young and atypical place We ate very well there and the service was excellent. Don't hesitate to stop there
Be the first to ReplyAre you jogging?
I love this restaurant. But being received by a guy in jogging pants from top to bottom, draining 1980, that's really not a dream (and there was no theme) Brief. We sat down. And then we left once the cards were deposited (yes because with the jogging, there was the smell) Damaging

Charming and pleasant place. We were well received by pleasant and discreet staff. I recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplySympathy and generosity.
Restaurant that can go unnoticed because of the large terrace of the Ombrière restaurant and frankly it would be a shame not to stop there. Menus made up of good products, great atmosphere and decor, friendly and dynamic staff. Be careful not to have a good lunch before because even without that, the generosity of the toast will leave you knocked out. The plate of miniature desserts is well diversified but apart from the financier, all the others are far too sweet and cause nausea at the end of the meal. Special mention to the homemade iced tea of the moment, mango-lemon-coconut, which is excellent and very refreshing.

The setting is simply adorable and the decoration original and fanciful! I recommend the toasts which are really delicious and the vegetarian Sicilienne is excellent!

Be the first to ReplyAMAZING 😍
We are a couple who came to Bordeaux for a weekend. We chose this restaurant following its very favorable reviews on this site. I totally agree !!! The welcome was very warm and the table service was remarkably professional. We really liked this very vintage place, I highly recommend it. Regarding the meal, they offer many toasts and casseroles, the salmon one was excellent. In any case, thank you! Clement

The casseroles are good although the one we ordered of duck with potato parmentier was a little dry and bland. On the other hand, the foie with egg was also good with 4 different spiced toasts and warm casserole. The cheeses were good and varied with an accompaniment of jam, some cherries and some chillies. The space for two is a little small, to be able to eat at ease.
Be the first to ReplyCute little bistro
It is a wonderfully located small bistro with healthy food and specialties from France and Southern Europe. The terrace is part of a larger square with historical façades and stunning architecture. The two ladies were very friendly - see you soon again!
Be the first to ReplyFrench comfort food
L'Autre Petit Bois provides French comfort food, a perfect counterpoint to many of the more formal restaurants in the city. Cassoulet was a perfect portion, crusty on top, steaming when pierced; it was accompanied by potatoes enveloped in a cream sauce. The tartine was very generous, with an abundance of avocado. While the restaurant does not take reservations, and it seemed very busy, we were quickly seated at a charming table outside. Service was very amicable, and the dinner was perfect.
Be the first to ReplyOne of our favourite spots in Bordeaux for lunch
Fabulous tartines, can highly recommend the salmon (Maya), the croc monsieur, the duck parmentier, -and the roasted Camembert. Beautiful food and very friendly staff. Tartines are huge enough to share for a lighter lunch
Be the first to ReplyGreat little lunch spot with really quirky cosy decor.
Great little restaurant on a pretty square with local dishes. Decor eclectic, funky and very nice. Staff very friendly. Lovely choice of dishes using local produce and at a good price. Delish salad. Recommended by a walking tour guide and it didn't disappoint. €30 for lunch for 2 including a drink each.
