L'Ambroisie Paris Reviews
Unexceptional
I hate to do this, but here goes. It's a Michelin restaurant. Three stars. The most expensive per-plate restaurants (just the appetizers cost $190 usd each). You read that right. On the plus side, the shrimp were tender and delicate, and the cav

“L’Ambroisie is the kind of place you never forget. Located in Place des Vosges, it has this elegant old Paris charm. The French cuisine was outstanding, but honestly, the best part was having a OuiStars driver waiting after our long dinner. Pari
It was superb, including the service.
The ambiance is old-world Parisian dining tucked into the beautiful Place des Vosges. This is not a restaurant for those looking for the hottest trends in cuisine; this is a temple of traditional haute cuisine. It delivered on that expectation magnif
Morbidly overpriced and mediocre food. Not worthy of 3 stars. Veal chop for $300 was a huge disappointment. Don’t go!
The meals were too exotic, almost like they ran out of ideas and starting going rogue experimenting with wildly different flavors. And extremely overpriced. This was a la carte for lunch, they served a lobster with curry, a bell pepper mousse, sole f
One of the best restaurants in the world, if not the best
This is crème de la crème of French cuisine, therefore, the best gastronomic experience one might have anywhere in the world. Unabashedly classic. Not giving up an inch of terrain to the modern cunlinary trends and Nouvelle Cuisine. Traditional in
I don't really get what this place is going for.
It's a 3 star restaurant offering no tasting menu but rather a standard a la carte menu which they feel they can justify jacking up the prices to ridiculous levels. The food was so-so. Some was great, others was awful. Whoever decided an asparag
To preface, this is our 4th Michelin star restaurant review.
Upon walking in, we were greeted by a few waiters - haphazardly and gave our name and reservation. My expectation from a 3* is a dedicated wait staff and perhaps a phone call for confirmation (in lieu of an automated text message) We were seated in
The service was excellent.
Not quite the ballet of servers as other 3 stars in the city, but on point. The presentation of the dishes was top notch as were the menu choices, but that said, the food and wine selection was subpar. As someone who has eaten at many top restauran
Les Saveurs du Palais
The epitome of French elegance, this grand dame of Parisian dining continues to set the standard for classic haute cuisine. The courses eschew theatrics and trends, opting for subtlety of flavor and tradition, with plenty of room for playful innovati
classic French cuisine.
Absolutely classic French cuisine. Should be flawless, but I had to correct the sommelier when she left the red wine bottle standing in the sun. Classic cuisine but unimaginative. Three star cuisine should be a revelation, not just classic good q
Do not go there if you are American unless you like seating next to the toilet. 3 stars???
Do not go there if you are an American. They stuck us in a drab room that looked like a closet and my chair was less than a yard away from the toilet. So much for 3 Michelin stars. Langoustines were excellent. So was the cacao tart. The turbot was ov
Artistry, skill, service, and flavors
Amazing food and amazing service. They had just switched to their spring menu which features morels and asparagus. True to their Michelin 3 star ranking, this was about the full experience: food, service, atmosphere. The food was well cooked and de
Worst experience never go to this place
ATTENTION One of the worst meals - stay far away from this place - their kitchen is dirty - we saw - their lamb came out cold and tasted like it had been cooked 5 days ago . Owner refused to take it back - and had the audacity to charge us for it .
Questionable price/performance ratio and (very) old-fashioned
Very traditional (maybe meanwhile rather old-fashioned, fits quite well to the location, Place des Vosges) restaurant with current 3 stars decorated (since 1986). Regarding to online news he (B. Pacaud) commited the responsibility to his follower Chr
Another much anticipated Mic star dinner with a slight disappointment...
L'Ambroisie, a name that speaks for itself... Michelin star, fine dining... what else could go wrong...? As expected the dinner started as perfect as any 3 star experience would. Nice table arranged, menu and wine selection, nice home made freshly b
L'Ambroisie is not a restaurant that deserves 3 Michelin stars
We went to L'Ambroisie today for lunch, a young waiter offered us to start with champagnes, we asked for the wine list, he said the champagnes are not on the wine list. So he didn’t give us the wine list and served us two small glasses of champagne
I left with some very mixed emotions after dining here.
For a three Michelin star restaurant with a lot of history, I was ultimately disappointed. Food: The food was beautiful but often lacked crucial elements. You could tell how much care and technique were poured into some very amazing dishes. The sta

My absolute favorite restaurant in Paris!!! My husband and I were here 15 years ago. Amazed by their venue, food and services. Went back on Thursday for our 20th anniversary. And this place is still unforgettable. We were greeted by Pascal, a F
I have eaten at dozens of Michelin 2 and 3 stars.
The worst experience was here yesterday. 3 stars means exceptional food and service. The food was good but had far better at 1 and 2 stars in Paris this week. I also noticed no menu in English. Such a French attitude and ignorant. The whole din
The pinnacle of traditional French cuisine.
Our short trip to Paris was topped by our dinner at the pinnacle of French cooking at this restaurant. It is unlike othe Michelin 3 restaurants that we have dined in , being a La carte and not a 4 hour long affair. The portions are hearty and full of
I wish I could dine here more often
I have dined here 6 times in 5 years, it's not more because I live across the Channel and because I feel I should occasionally try other restaurants as well. I've already planned my next meal here. Those who come here for the wrong reasons or with th

We were in Paris this month staying at a wonderful hotel in the Marais area. Our neighborhood guide mentioned this 3 Michelin Star restaurant on the same square as our hotel. She also said that the French president brought President Obama there when
So glad an institution of classic, fine French food like
So glad an institution of classic, fine French food like this is still going strong. The cooking here is excellent. Lots of classics still on the menu, for good reason.
L’Ambroisie does not need another review. But it deserves one
I agree that l’Ambroisie is unlike any other 3 star restaurant, and that those who expect arrogance and tiny portions will have plenty of better options elsewhere. The staff makes you feel at home. Followed Daniele’s suggestions and we chose a

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to L'Ambroisie Paris at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the L'Ambroisie Paris page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at L'Ambroisie Paris to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at L'Ambroisie Paris!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
