LamaLo New York Reviews from The Last Year
Lamalo is a fun spot for Mediterranean plates, especially
Lamalo is a fun spot for Mediterranean plates, especially if you're going with a group & planning to share. The dips are a meal in itself, but there's lots of other delicious dishes to add (my personal favorite is the lamb kebab). The only thing that keeps Lamalo from being a 5 star experience for me is the ambiance. They have an upstairs floor that is lively & fun, but the downstairs floor seating area is a little meh & feels like an afterthought for overflow seating. I've eaten in both areas, and I found my experience upstairs to be much better.
Lamalo is outright incredible.
Located in a prime location inside the beautiful Arlo Hotel, the atmosphere is stunning from the moment you walk in! Come for the dips (which are some of the best I've ever had including the roasted cauliflower and Tershi), and stay for the cocktails and entrees. Every single bite at lamalo was special, and the all 3 desserts also blew me away. The staff are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and I recommend this place super highly for any occasion! I will be back again very soon.

Soo good! came for dinner on friday, the restaurant is inside the arlo hotel. Quiet restaurant with lots of seating for large groups. I got the unlimited breads and spreads, my boyfriend got the 2 skewer+side option and we shared. I think next time we will just get the breads and spreads because it is more than enough variety. The bread is delicious! comes out freshly baked, it is thin with some herbs spread on top. A few of the "spreads" are like small dishes on their own, like the salad, beets with yogurt dip, and mushrooms. These were also the only ones we ordered a second serving of since we were too full to finish even the first round of spreads. My favorites were the hummus, labneh, and pickled vegetable dish. The octopus and chicken thigh skewers were both very good, octopus was my favorite although a bit salty. Do not recommend the string beans side dish - was lukewarm and tasted soggy like canned string beans. Overall really great dining experience and service, will be back for the bread and spreads!
Amazing solo dining experience.
Flew into NYC today and my hotel had this awesome hidden gem of a restaurant at the lobby level. I came around 30 minutes after their dining hours and was sat immediately. I was the first diner there! My waitress was nice and welcoming to recommend her favorites and explain the structure of their menu. It's basically an all you can eat bread and spreads if you opt in or try some bread with spreads and meat skewers. The dining experience was so classy, with excellent wait staff and timely delivery of dishes for a seamless food journey. I got 3 spreads: tahini, baba ganoush, and spinach and artichoke. The bread itself was heavenly, so fluffy, crispy right from the heaven, with subtle taste of oil with each bite. Easy to tear, spread and dip into the spreads. All of them were good, but the tahini and spinach and artichoke were my favorites with being creamy in texture and savory in taste. I also ordered a chicken thigh skewer that was presented beautifully, easy to cut, and amazing in texture. Their rice was so flavorful and a light crisp. This was a worthwhile dining experience and taste into middle eastern cuisine at NYC! Splendid!
Food and service was amazing! Can't wait to come back
Food and service was amazing! Can't wait to come back again! Definitely recommend the lamb and fresh bread.
Ate here with a few friends for my birthday.
SO cute inside and great vibes. Service was awesome. The food was pretty good! Loved the style of sharing so we got to try a bit of everything. They even gave us some freebies as well which was nice. Portions are a little small for the price but overall a great experience. Will probably return in the future.
Shrimp and lamb on point.
Bread with artichoke and hummus. Flavors on point. Service was solid
The service is amazing, really nice.
The food is really bad, vegetarian shawarma is cauliflower and broccoli on a skewer full of oil and an excessive amount of spices and the craziest thing is that this skewer costs $19!!!!!! A miniature plate of hummus that is enough for half a person, is not worth the money! Expensive prices for dishes that are not worth it
This place has hidden costs and small portions; we weren't
This place has hidden costs and small portions; we weren't informed by the waiter that salad sharing incurs double charges. Prepare to shell out at least $125 for two, as the $45 daily spread swiftly jumps to $70 for BASIC Israeli salads and pita, excluding drinks and entrees.
Wow, wow, and wow.
This place is a hidden gem!! Have to do the all you can eat dips and then I got the all you can eat dips + 2 skewers. The scallops and octopus skewers were sooo good. Loved that our server recommended them. They were grilled PERFECTLY and divine. The dips were tasty too - loved the spinach artichoke, hummus, and eggplant dips the most. I cant tell you how great the service was. She was extremely attentive and kind. The ambiance is low lit with lots of space for a group. I highly recommend for a family dinner, birthday, etc. I'll definitely be back!
Heat on in the middle of summer
The heat is on - 2nd floor. Staff on 2 say no one is taking their request seriously. "They say the engineer was called...". Your expensive liquor is spoiling y'all. And guests are leaving. Your downstairs staff thinks it's funny. ----1------------

How to list a Nobu Malibu reservation

Hi, I have a reservation to Nobu Malibu, but since they don't do text or e-mail confirmations I haven't been able to get my reservation posted. I have posted a screen shot of the phone conversation on the listing, but it keeps getting rejected. If anyone has an idea how I can get it approved that would be much appreciated, thanks!

Write a note with the Name of the restaurant, Name on reservation, day/time/number of people, your phone number. Then on the bottom wrote “confirmed by phone”. Screenshot it and submit.
