The tourist trap
Disappointment.. A boiled and recooked pork knuckle. The skin formed a crust. The meat was not soft as it should be. Fried potatoes that were actually boiled with a brief pan frying to give a little tan. So stifle-Christian. A joyless and poorly seasoned sweetbread. And the icing on the cake: a truly bad Pinot noir! In short, I advise against it.

Gastronomic restaurant in the center of Riquewihr, which is worth the detour: - a varied menu with traditional Alsatian dishes, but also suggestions with more modern and creative dishes (like the half lobster pot in exotic coconut broth, with celery risotto, a killer!!!) - the decor is purely Alsatian with an incredible density of collections of objects, and contributes to the warmth of the place - efficient service and a caring and humorous boss... All is well! Delighted with this delicious moment and to have had our taste buds satisfied!!

Typical Alsatian setting, veal rice for me with a sauce too liquid for my taste accompanied by a fairly ordinary pea puree and spätzle, not very tasty morels. For Mme, the boneless rabbit back stuffed with candied apricots, spätzle, the dish was not very popular!

We had a very pleasant time. The setting is nice. We had a great time with the added bonus of a warm welcome.
Be the first to ReplyTypical and fine
Very nice welcome. Good sauerkraut on the shank without a false note without being excellent (not crispy enough for the amateur's taste) and homemade dumplings with a divine, very fine sauce. Typical decor and cozy atmosphere

We ate very well after waiting for around twenty minutes but warm in the SAS, Saturday December 16 at noon, with lots of people in the city! Very professional service, copious and quality dishes. Everything was very good, to recommend without hesitation! A nod for the blueberry tiramisu 😜

This restaurant offers dishes that are out of the ordinary so we decided to eat there and we were not disappointed. Beautiful presentation of the plates, tasty dishes, quality and efficient and friendly staff.

We are a couple with a 10 month old baby. Luckily there was one last table left, just for us. We were welcomed very warmly despite the late schedule. The meal was excellent. The price is very reasonable (58€ for 2 with a glass of crémant and a dish each). My husband really wanted to try the Baeckeoffe and he loved it. I did not ask the first names of the waitresses but a big thank you to all of you for your smile and your attention to our son Soann (wooden game, booster seat).

What a lucky find! It was cold and rainy so we stopped in to see if they had a table. The restaurant was warm and cozy which was exactly what we needed. The service was efficient and friendly. We had the hot munster casserole and the "Homemade" baeckaoffa. Both were delicious! Be sure to stop in!

Had a wonderful lunch here on a Monday. Husband had the set menu that started with croquettes of crayfish in a lemony butter sauce. Delish. Duck with a cherry sauce with candied ginger was cooked to perfection. Dessert was the only disappointment which was legois au myrtilles. Just ok. I had trout stuffed with crayfish in a cream sauce. Very good. Had a side of “ratatouille” but that was quite different - tomatoes sliced thin with carrots and potatoes in a clear broth that was a bit spicy. Loved it. Service was friendly and prompt. Recommend.
