IT'S INACCEPTABLE
Be the first to ReplyManager was very rude and ironic.
They have to learn more about customer service. And by the way they charge us $20 for a bottle of water that nobody even drank.

I've dined here quite a few times and have loved it each time. From lunch at the bar to a sit down multi course dinner in the restaurant. Food is excellent! Service always on point. I recommend.

Overpriced French food, and unfortunately not worth the price tag. Very fancy atmosphere (thanks to location being in Palm Beach). Ambiance is lack-luster, decor and colors seem boring and outdated. The bar is full service so we sat there, and were happy with the nice (and fast) bartenders. The food itself left something to be longed for (even more so once the bill came). We ordered the cheese soufflรฉ (Gruyรจre and parmesan cheese, white truffle oil), steak tartare, escargot (with garlic-herb butter), steamed mussels (with white wine cream sauce) and French fries, filet mignon and the hot molten lava cake (with ice cream). I'm not sure what I was expecting out of the "award-winning signature" cheese soufflรฉ, but it did not "WOW" me. Presentation was beautiful, technique was perfect, but flavor wasn't there for me. Also, $28 for a bowl of cheese and random garden salad, is ridiculous. Escargot was de-shelled, but again was lacking any real flavor. Steak tartare did not have the best presentation, instead of being red/pink, it was brown and was not appealing-looking. Dish needed more salt, and an extra French baguette. The filet mignon was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and was tender and juicy. Mussels were soft (almost too soft), and unfortunately were presented in a small bowl, where it was hard to get any of them at the bottom. All of the food was just OK. Large selection of wine, but priced at $20-30 for a glass is outrageous. For $450, not including a tip, I won't be quick to return.

Went early, 11:30. Cheese soufflรฉ was the best I ever had. Very nice menu and hard to decide. I'm definitely going back. I can't wait to try dinner. Also, the young man who served us was totally professional (so rare these days - NO "are you guys ready to order?"). Attentive but not overbearing. Perfect! I wish I had gotten his name. Nice table cloths and beautiful glassware and china. Not many restaurants like this around anymore.
Be the first to ReplyTrendy.
Nice interior and atmosphere. Expensive. ($23 for martini and $23 for a glass of wine and over $200 for two people). Valet parking. Had to open all my mussels and make a soup out of them as they were packed in a little bowl with sauce hidden on bottom. Food just OK and equivalent to most any other strip mall French bistro other than the West Coast oysters. Quality and service OK but not worth it. If you drive a Bentley or better, and wear monogrammed Espadrilles, this is the place for you.

I had the chicken cordon bleu. It was some of the best chicken I have had very nice flavor and not overcooked. The staff is all very professional and make it a wonderful experience for you.

Great ambience, good food , nice wine list, attentive service. Well worth a visit. Comparable to a nice comfortable bistro in NYC, but not a destination restaurant
Be the first to ReplyI enjoyed our evening here a lot.
The restaurant captures the ambiance of a fine Parisian establishment, except the noise level from patrons was high. The Catch-22 effect is that we all have to shout because it's so noisy. Once our table had amped up our volume, we didn't notice anymore. Our server was very professional but made recommendations so firmly that you felt you were making a mistake to order what you wanted instead. But she was charming, on the ball, and looked after us well. The Tuna Tartare was excellent but surprisingly had no toast. My wife's escargot was very nice, she did have toast which had to be sent back because it was so burnt. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked and really tender. My wife's trout was huge and really tasty. We shared an excellent creme brulee and finished up with an excellent espresso. Overall, it was a great experience and we'll put it back on the top of our restaurant bucket list.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous traditional French bistro menu.
Every dish we had was incredible. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is Palm Beach. Upscale fun. Of course people are going to get turned away if they show up to this restaurant in shorts. It is not appropriate to dine at a fine restaurant in flip-flops and shorts. People need to get a clue.. we loved this experience and will return when in Palm Beach.

It didn't appear there was a Maitre de but was promptly seated by the waiter. Very much a French Bistro. The tartare was among the best I've had. Floating Island (Ill flottante) was a great dessert option! For some reason they didn't have a butter knife which was the only real issue, probably not one for most but I found it strange. I will return and recommend it.

Be the first to ReplyLoved it.
Very posh and fancy with the best people watching. Fairly traditionally but very delicious French fare. Salads are beautiful. Dessert is fantastic. Attentive full service is available at the bar and we never had to wait on anything. Loved the cocktail with the rose. Kudos to valet for being extra helpful and friendly.Great spot for fancy dinner date or just drinks. Suggest reservations as they are very busy and bar area isn't very large.

Just enjoyed the most fabulous lunch at this French restaurant and honestly I thought I was back in France. I enjoyed the French Onion Soupe and the Salad Nicoise was exactly how I remembered when eating in Paris, France. Our waitstaff paid attention to water glasses and was attentive without overbearing. Just love love love this restaurant and can't wait to return.

Easy valet parking. I really enjoyed the vichyssoise. I also had a perfectly prepared piece of salmon. We shared the profiteroles, which were delightful.

. but the maรฎtre d' was supposed to have our private room ready for our table 7 and he dropped the ball. I would go back but they need to smile more and have better communication.
Be the first to ReplyVery expensive restaurant with excellent food.
excellent service, However, management has no interest in servicing non regulars. We were given a table for 4 it was extremely small and uncomfortable, bigger table near us was empty. Asked to move, were told NO! Shortly afterward, they sat a threesome there. Sadly, the comfort factor and attitude of management will prevent any of the four of us from going back.
Be the first to ReplyA local fav here on the island of Palm Beach.
Be sure to make a reservation. The escargot is really good. Great wine list and exceptional service. Be sure to try the escargot as you will not be disappointed. You can sit indoors or outside and both are great for a nice dining experience as well as people watching. There is a full bar. Great place.

Wore shorts and a shirt, and was turned away saying they have a dress code. However sitting at the bar were several people wearing shorts and a shirt. The tall Overdressed host (dude) clearly was making a dress code cal based on the color of my skin.
Be the first to ReplyDoesn't live up to the hype.
It was good, but not crazy good. The cheese soufflรฉ was excellent but the Crepes Suzette were not thin and delicate but thick and mushy and very disappointing. Prices were extremely high and the meal was just ok- not a great combo in my eyes. Would I come back? Maybe for lunch- but I would probably opt to eat at Pistache just a mile or so away, where the food is very good and consistent, the options are many and prices are a bit more in line with reality. But then this is Palm Beach we are talking about, so...
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service was great.
Great selection of cocktails. Enjoyed the dinner and highly recommend to try .
Be the first to ReplyWonderful restaurant with authentic French bistro food.
Excellent service and a beautiful atmosphere complete an upscale dining experience. Try the onion soup, cheese soufflรฉ , or the Beef Bourgogne, the best I've had this side of the Atlantic. The only negative thing about this restaurant is the cost of drinks, exorbitant, even by Palm Beach standards. You've been warned...

I've passed La Goulle almost daily since it opened during the pandemic, and have waited for a special occasion to make a reservation and try this place. The name La Goulue, for those who wonder, was the stage name of Louise Weber, a French can-can dancer who was a star of the Moulin Rouge, a popular cabaret in the Pigalle district of Paris, near Montmartre in its hay day. The place is neat and what you would expect from a traditional French Bistro style establishment, a nice bar, and bar-lounge seating, and two larger dining rooms with bistro chairs and decorating. The wine list, especially by the glass, is very good and the French Chardonnay-burgundy was excellent. The Taittinger was good--however, our party ordered the regular brut, they brought the rose, which we accepted but learned later from the bill that it was $35 and $10 more as we were told. The fish special was excellent but overpriced for a flounder, as were the escargots, but stay away from the confit. The cheese soufflรฉ starter came with a salad and it was just perfect! The steak tartare was delicious. The large snapper main in a salted crust was impressive to look at and equally good. Oysters were also fresh and excellent and fairly priced. Service was friendly and professional, and the entire staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our waiter was excellent. I left 4 stars because of possible improvement on staff etiquette in a high-end french style bistro experience, but that's an individual user experience issue that should be trained by the owner of the restaurant not the fault of all American staff. It has a nice location, on the corner of County and Royal, and large glass doors open up to the sidewalk. It could use a few Lautrec prints, or maybe I missed them. Open style kitchen was fun.Overall the experience was good and open to repeat visits.
