Attention is not incompatible with education, fatal attention....
The attention, bad nooo, the following, fatal, are more than enough. The food is average and you're barely sitting down and they're already asking you what you're going to drink. I say that if they are in a hurry and don't want to serve people properly, they should close it and that's it.
Be the first to ReplyVery poor service, good food
It was a phenomenal place, but they have poorly digested the expansion and the virtual retirement of the patrons, who serve "please" only acquaintances and friends. It's good for tapas, but if you're lucky they serve you at a pace, which is unlikely.
Be the first to ReplyUnpleasant experience
This place is very avoidable. Only bottled beer is saved. Hard and expensive octopus. Exorbitantly priced fresh seafood. Salty and raw omelet. Somewhat burnt croquettes. Non-existent education and service. Tawdry and rebellious owners. I recommend the restaurants on the next street (Argentine Republic). They give a lot of thought to this unpleasant place.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food. Enjoyed everything…. Wish we’d tried the tortilla!!!
We wanted to visit here as Super chat James Martin had recommended it on his Spanish adventure programme. We were made extremely welcome and even had a photo taken with the proprietor when I mentioned JM! Octopus was fabulous and so was the steak entrecôte. The potatoe accompaniment were sublime. Lovely experience.

Returning to La Aldeana is always pleasant and very satisfying. Unbeatable attention and treatment. Exquisite food of the best quality, the right price. I have enjoyed this place for years and will continue to do so, without a doubt. Thank you for continuing to give everything for your clients! Merche Bengochea

Yesterday we had dinner at this restaurant and, although it wasn't great today, as it was close to the hotel, we returned with the intention of having some tapas and drinks. When we approach one of the high tables outside and ask if we can sit down, the waiter nearby repeats to us 3 times in a row “It's only for dinner” “It's only for dinner” “It's only for dinner” with an unpleasant tone. We found the manners of the aforementioned waiter regrettable, in bad taste and very unpleasant, and our intention was to have dinner, but we ran away. I don't know if it's the establishment's policy, but if so, you better check it.

Full place, very, very noisy and tavern/ranch type service, hurriedly collecting empty plates and serving at full speed. Seven people: we ask for water, they bring 5 bottles at €2/bottle. 2 glasses of wine, €2/glass but ridiculous amount. A correct potato omelet, empanadas, croquettes and nothing else. Rejón: 102 euracos. My son - 24 years old - had liked it a long time ago and we listened to him. We didn't ask my wife and I, my children and nephews, we didn't like it at all. Neither the noise, nor the price. The quality was neither fu nor fa. The octopus, tremendous meat - our fault for ordering it - very salty. Personally, ruled out. Another hospitality industry that insists on recovering what was lost during the pandemic at the expense of the unwary... today, us.
Be the first to ReplyA LOT OF SALT IN THE TORTILLAS
We requested the tortilla with little salt due to illness and their response was that they always made it the same way and they made no exceptions. If we didn't want it salty, we should order something else.

We have known each other for several years, even before this management. Whenever we pass through the area, it is mandatory to go there. As a rule, it is always full, inside and outside. The service provided by some employees is the WORST. Little variety, but good products. coastal shrimp and the best cigalas. It's not cheap, but... The octopus cannot be missed. SERVICE MUST IMPROVE

It's a shame that a site that was a reference for good service has fallen so low. Reserved table, we sat down, ordered a wine while we waited for the person who was missing and they brought us a weak wine, as if it were for a tasting. Observing, we realized that they did not bring the complimentary skewer, while on the terrace they did. ... The person we were waiting for arrives and orders a wine, we demand the complimentary skewer, the waitress with an unfriendly gesture, tells us that they don't put skewers on the table, and after insisting she brings 6 counted olives. It seems like a very ugly and unprofessional detail to me or is it that they charge less for that wine??? It is true that it is complimentary, but I imagine it is for all clients. So I don't recommend this place at all because the portions are also small for what they charge.
Be the first to ReplyLousy food
I don't understand how people can say that the food is good. We ordered seafood salad. Horrible. Raw materials from a freezer bag (I can't believe it) and terrible mayonnaise for dressing. Then omelette and chorizo omelette. The sour potatoes and oil left a lot to be desired. There it was. The owner asked us if we didn't like it and when we told him very gently that "it could be improved" he didn't like it. If you don't want criticism, don't ask.
Be the first to ReplyAsk the price before ordering.
Quality food, average service and in particular you have to be careful with the price according to the market, you could be surprised.
Be the first to ReplyPULPO
The PULPO outstanding, washed down with a great value bottle of Albariño. The atmosphere was excellent as was the service. Recommend you book in advance.
