Food and Service Top-Notch
This was our second time dining at Kyma for a special occasion dinner (this time it was my daughter’s birthday). We had the Aegean special with 4 dip mezze, marinated grilled octopus and lamb pie (this recipe beat Bobby Flay) for appetizers. All were outstanding! The lavraki (European seabass) was very good, and was accompanied by a marinated tomato and cucumber Greek salad, sautéed kale, and lemon potatoes. My husband ordered the lamb chops with Brussels sprouts. Our meal was finished off with complementary baklava and ice cream for my daughter’s birthday. The food was absolutely wonderful! The only suggestion i woukd make is to serve pitted olives, otherwise, excellent! And, our server, Marko, was very knowledgeable and professional. He made sure our experience was top notch. In this day and age where customer service is lacking, it’s nice to see that there are still some people that deliver excellent customer service. Thank you, Marko, for making our dinner so special!
Be the first to ReplyVery small portions. I would be ashamed to send out a desert tasting platter that small.
We went to Kyma for dinner tonight. First of all the service was very good. We enjoyed the dips with pita and the lobster bites were excellent. We had the sea bass, which was good, but the portions were very small, maybe 3-4 ounces each. The lemon potatoes were good, especially when dipped in tzatziki, shame they arrived after we we were almost done with the fish. We ordered the dessert tasting which was 3 samples of dessert, although I didn’t expect to get a lot, I would have been embarrassed to serve such a minuscule amount. One donut hole, 1 tablespoon of rice pudding, a 1 inch piece of baklava with a teaspoon of ice cream for $12. I was appreciative that they adjusted our bill after a misunderstanding about the price of a crab claw appetizer. We thought it was 20 dollars but when the check came it was 39 dollars for 1 stone crab claw.

We participate in the Buckhead Dine Around Program every summer and, by far, Kyma is our favorite spot. Their tomato salad is worth going for alone even if you have nothing else. We started with the ahi tuna tartare and then shared the Side of Arctic Char cooked from the bottom up. Delicious! We couldn't resist the dessert trio sampler even though we rarely order dessert. It was a treat with the donut and baklava being our favorites. The service was exceptional. They were not short staffed nor were they plagued with uninformed staff with attitude. A welcome change from many local restaurants these days. We also want to give a shout out to the management for enforcing their dress code. While we were there, we observed two men approach the reception desk looking as if they just came off the beach. No reservation (or they would have been told about the dress code). In any case, they were turned away. If we wanted to dine with people in a hamburger joint, we would have chosen a different venue. Thank you to Kyma for maintaining some decorum. We love eating at Kyma. It is reliably good every time.
Be the first to ReplyGood food , pity about the service
The service was so poor, that it really detracted from how delicious the meals were. We waited nearly 10 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order and another 10 for him to deliver them. Four of us each ordered appetizers and he brought them out one by one so that we all had to wait for the final appetizer to arrive to enjoy our first course together. A second round of drinks was ordered when the meals finally arrived, and then at the weight of 15 minutes before those drinks arrived. We also felt a little bit abused being charged $18 for a simple glass of aCalifornia Cabernet. This restaurant has a potential for greatness, but they squander it by not paying attention to the little details like service and pricing. Lastly, self parking is not an option even though they have a very large parking lot. Valet minimum is three dollars.

Early dinner of mezze (small plates). Had all four of the spreads with pita and also asked for veggies to dip in the dips, tomato salad and lobster bites. The lobster bits were light as air and delicious. For dessert, we ordered the donuts, which came out in a huge, piping hot pyramid of fried dough balls topped with honey and walnuts. Yum! Had good glass of Greek white wine akin to a Pinot Grigio. Mills, our waiter was helpful, responsive and pleasant to interact with. A manager came over to the table twice to make sure we were happy with our experience. Top notch all the way.

Arrived in ATL after a long day at the airport. It was a Wednesday so I was hoping for an open table and a fine dining experience. Kyma was just that. quickly was able to secure a table and get there by 7pm. I was a little underdressed, (hopefully the host saw my desperation in my eyes). We were met by Chris a pleasant and efficient server. I started with the watermelon & feta cheese appetizer. GREAT!! and my girlfriend had the eggplant spread EXCELLENT. The setting was wonderful, mostly a mature crowd, no children or teens seen. A little stuffy but I was up for it, I wanted fish, but since I got less than a pound the fish was selected for me. You have the option of choosing your fish, displayed on ice at the front of the restaurant; if over 2 pounds. The Food was tasty, drinks were sufficient and thus.....a successful night at Kyma. I would definitely go again.

Went to celebrate my youngest son's birthday. We always get the Tasting menus when we go to get a chance to eat multiple items from the menu. The food was outstanding as always, we had the Mykonos and Seafood tasting options. The Service was impeccable as usual and the food beyond good!
Be the first to ReplyEXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with a side of FOOD POISONING
We had a dinner reservation for 10 on Saturday June 10th for my mum in law’s 70th birthday dinner. Firstly there was a fly in our son’s cocktail which had to be returned & was replaced with an alternative We had a variety of appetizers including the scallops which our eldest daughter had and which was flavorless and was not cooked properly - it was undercooked and had no sear. Our middle daughter had the spinach pie in filo pastry which was excellent. The calamari which our family friends from the UK had, was just ok (mediocre) & my olive paste was delicious The entrees however were a let down. Both lamb shank entrees were returned as the meat was extremely under seasoned and cork dry (totally unpalatable). My best friend had the lamb chops with tzatziki, 2 of our kids had the snapper and our eldest had the lobster pasta. Out of the 10 diners, 5 people had bad food poisoning (snapper, lobster and lamb chops) - one of whom had sweats, projectile vomiting and diarrhea throughout the night and most of the day after. The others had diarrhea. While the head chef and manager were very apologetic about the lamb shanks and offered alternatives, I was extremely disappointed in the food quality, so declined an alternate entree but at the manager’s repeated insistence, I opted for a complimentary glass of Prosecco I had the baklava dessert and our daughters had the dessert taster and Greek donuts which were all delicious However due to the lamb shanks being unpalatable and the food poisoning of 4 of our guests on such an important milestone celebration for our Mum, Kyma has been a COMPLETE LETDOWN and is not an establishment we will patronizing in the future. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced, small portions and not authentic
We ate here over the valentine's weekend. and were sadly disappointed. We have eaten at several Greek restaurants and this has got to be one of the worse we've eaten at. The food was nothing to write home about. The portions were small. They didn't even know their Greek wines! Their Greek fries were circular potatoes! they charge for valet parking! Everything was overpriced. The service was good, albeit the server told us to order in a certain manner so that the food will come out in a certain order. I've never had this asked of me by a server. But she was courteous and attentive. The décor was good that's about it. I wouldn't go back for that!
Be the first to ReplyA fabulous treat
Everything about this restaurant is classy, including the valet parking, hostess, servers, menu, and the food. I had never been there and will definitely go back again. It was quiet, tables were spaced nicely, service was prompt but never rushed. And the food was fabulous. We had the special-I forgotten the type of fish and the tomato salad as an appetizer, along with a glass of champagne and a cup of coffee. It was expensive, but a wonderful place for a romantic date.
Be the first to ReplyA Fabulous Dinner Experience
In a beautiful, tastefully appointed and lighted, space, Kyma delivers a superior dining experience. After a satisfying glass of Greek pinot noir, I shared an order of Spanakopita (Spinach Pie) with my companion. It was melt-in-your-mouth good. My main course was a pound of Tsipoura, which the server translated to Branzino. It was so fresh, perfectly filleted, elegantly presented and delicious. Dessert was the Chocolate Lava Cake, which also hit a high note. Service was slow but competent.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service. Must try the Octopus
An amazing experience from beginning to end. The valid parking attenants were very nice and respectful. We sat at the bar until our table was ready. Great drinks and vibe. Our host were amazing. Vana and Andrew were the greatest and timing from appetizers to main course was impeccable. The Stone Crab, Octopus, and Scallops were all fantastic appetizers. You must try the Octopus though!! The sauce was so good!!! The Lavraki is a must if you like a meaty, boneless fish, fileted to perfection. My son had the Lamb chops and was ready to order another round as they were that good. Cooked just right and the aroma was very good. My daughter had the Lobster pasta. Huge chunks of Lobster. For dessert we had the Baklava. Great taste with the honey and walnuts. Overall, great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant

Andrew was amazing. He provided all the recommendations and at one point my colleague just said “Andrew just bring me what you would recommend for the main course”. For dessert we had all kinds of questions- he took the menus and said “I got this”. Boy did he- the dessert was off the charts..olive ice cream, Greek donuts, blue berry pie -Greek Style. Meal was outstanding and Andrew -Thank You. We will be back!

Pulled in the lot let my passengers out (I drive lyft sometimes) as I’m getting ready to turn out of the lot I notice a guy waving his arms and seemingly talking loud (I assumed he was trying to get my attention maybe he was trying to flag me down because a passenger left something in my car or something else) I rolled my window down asked “hey I’m sorry what did you say my windows were up” and literally about to ask was everything ok..he cut me off told me to get the F off the property…I WAS CONFUSED which he could tell because he proceeds to tell me again to get the F off the property I stated I’m just Lyft driver and I’m leaving out (i was literally on the property 2 mins) he said yeah well I’m valet GET THE F OFF THE PROPERTY and he added N* GGER this time he called me a N* GGER.. I couldn’t even speak I was in shock. He proceeds to tell me he has HIS OFFICERS ON THE PROPERTY AND HE WOULD CALL THEM TO GET ME THR F OUT OF THERE. I wasn’t parked on the property there wasn’t as like infront or behind me I WAS CONFUSED. He then gets in a car honks the horn long and drives off! A Tuesday night in Atlanta. 12 Business people out for a final dinner. Tacky blue stoned panther greets you at the door followed by pretentious dress code Nazis. Food mediocre at best. Never again.
Be the first to ReplyValet was best part of the evening, waitress also said that we were welcome to finish our wine at the table WTF?
We ordered Dips and Octopus, dips arrived, small but great flavor profile! Asked for more pita, received 6 triangles for $6! Server more obsessed about talking about his specials than taking our first drink order. Forgot to order our octopus. Cocktails were delivered after apps!! Ridiculous. Asked for wine list.ordered food, main course, salads arrived with entree, wine arrived after entrees delivered! Lousy service, lamb pasta was globs of stringy lamb. Friends enjoyed snapper! It used to be a great place! Oh, no music or ambiance! Won’t bother again
Be the first to ReplyCan not taste the food
My wife and I seen a great review from Atlanta eats on Kyma restaurant. We have both agreed it is not as good as it was made out to be. Service was just the same as the food and for the price we won't be going back nor recommending to any of our food groupies. All the food that had the olive oil with olives overwhelmed the taste of the food. We tried the octopus(could not taste the octipus) and sea bass. Even the kale that came out with the main course was over whelming with the oil and olive taste and so salty the taste hung with me until the next day. This Greek food was a first for me to try and I didn't know of anything to compare it to. But my wife has been in Greece many of times and she even stopped eating it because the seasoning flovars and saltiness was to much. Sorry to say it was such a terrible first experience for me. We will not be returning. You won't be seeing this chef on any TV series of beat Bobby flay or Iron chefs anytime soon. Marty

What an absolutely wonderful meal! We were most fortunate to have Anna as a server. She was so personal, informative, friendly, and professional, that she is now my gold standard in the service industry. Anna, if you get to read this, thank you! The atmosphere and design of the restaurant are very pleasing. The noise level was moderate, allowing for easy conversation. The four of us had the tasting menu, with sea bass as the main course. It was prepared to the exact correct temperature, and was the right size for our group. The taste was nothing short of superb. The sides, and previously the appetizers, were superb. Select them for yourself; you can't go wrong. This was my first visit to Kyma, and I truly look forward to my next.
