KGB is a great option in a neighborhood full of more
KGB is a great option in a neighborhood full of more classic/French restaurants. Dishes are elaborate and well-executed, with a resemblance to the more expensive Kitchen Gallery restaurant in the same street. The place is lively yet the atmosphere is "sophisticated" I would say. Service is great. And we loved the desserts.Lunch menu seems a great option to try!

Really well done! Wine recommendation was spot on to start and our wait service was top grade and personable. But the food was outstanding - truly one of my most memorable food experiences. We went 5 course and trusted the chef - gotta go all in. The balance of the flavors of each dish was an artistic treasure. There is passion behind the flavor experiences and I appreciate the efforts made by all from the entry to the last lick of the apricot dessert. (My fav!). Make this a must try stop while in Paris!

Le Kitchen Galerie Bis is a most magical place for lunch. I ordered the hors d'oeuvres + plat. The service was impeccable. I was asked if I had any food preferences and told the server No meat svp. I was brought out three dishes of delicate fish ; mushroom in a ginger, a very light sauce and another dish all three had totally different tastes and each more incredible. The main fish was a lightly cooked salmon type rainbow trout with bits of carrots and other vegetables in a very delicate Ginger butternut squash sauce. It was amazing. Along with the crusty bread and a glass of red wine, I was very happy. I'm sure this is a popular place for dinner as well and reservations are generally required because it is a small place. If you have time for lunch and you really want to dine in an elegant French way this is a place. Merci beaucoup Le KGB. Be the first to ReplyLe KGB feels very California to me.
Light, airy and friendly. The art on the walls is colorful and cheery. The staff is friendly and quite welcoming. And of course, there are Asian touches found throughout the cuisine like lemongrass, dashi broth, coconut milk. Very global clientele. The tasting menu is wonderful and innovative, but I wish you didn't get 5 courses at once. Although it makes for a "strong" opening, the "end" comes abruptly. Here are your two desserts, the end, which arrive together. I actually preferred the dessert of the 8 course instead of the 10 course menu -- looking at what my neighbors had. The difference between the 8 and 10 is an extra dessert, and a pasta dish.My favorite dishes from the tasting menu include the first 5 courses and squid pasta. The cod tasted mushy the whole way through, a texture commonly achieved through sous vide which admittedly is not my favorite. The wild boar was too chewy and tough. I found it inedible, so my friend ate it. Every dish is artistically plated, as you can see from the photographs. Although the food was superb, unfortunately everyone was still hungry when the check arrived.

Le KGB was a wonderfully quiet lunch spot that exceeded our expectations. My husband and I split the four appetizers - which come as a "surprise" in that they don't tell you what they are beforehand, but do inquire about allergies etc. - and we each got a main dish. I got the poultry which was delicious and perfectly proportioned. My husband got the pork which I typically won't eat, but I tried a bite and it was also fantastic. Wine selection was great (no surprise there) and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend, especially if you're doing some shopping. There are lots of shopping options around there.

Highly recommended! Ordered the "10 services" set menu (€66) and enjoyed every single dish that was served - very composed dishes that haven't been overthought but are just downright delicious.
Be the first to ReplyTapas sample menu, chef's selection.
Customer's only decision is 6 or 8 item course, priced 89 or 106 Euro, resp. Flawless and tasty but I'm not a fan of foam as an ingredient. Rare xlnt service staff for Paris. Friendly chef.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic! One of my favorite restaurants in Paris.
I've been to both Ze Kitchen Galerie and Le KGB, and prefer the michelin-starless Le KGB. At both restaurants, the quality is the same, the food is just as interesting, Le KGB is a little cheaper, and the service is marginally better! At Le KGB, I was deciding between two desserts and as a surprise, my server gave me both (and only charged me for one)! It's a great restaurant on the fancier side, but not stuffy at all. Can't recommend enough!

We had the set course. Dishes were innovative, with high quality ingredients, and delicious. The staff was friendly and the ambience was contemporary but comfortable. Highly recommended.

Good English spoken. Everything was superb from start to finish. We had the 8 course menu for €55 & ordered drinks on top of that. I did not find the restaurant pretentious. It can be defined as fine dining aside from the deco being more on the casual side. I will definitely go back again. It's good value despite small portions.

Tasteful? Yes. TASTY? Oui oui! We had the pre-fixe menu in April. Worth every penny...and portions were petite - very French!

I loved this restaurant so much, I ate here twice in my two weeks in Paris. The first night I tried the discovery menu. It's a fixed menu for €68 or so and it is most definitely worth it. The dishes are imaginative, delicious, and show great attention to detail. I can't name all of the appetizers that we had but all 5 were fabulous. The main portion of the meal came with the rabbit in curry sauce and the shrimp tempura and squid in a squid ink reduction sauce. AAAAAMAZING! We retuned the second time and split 3 appetizers and had a full dish of the squid and the rabbit. The service is very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant when I visit again.
