Kadence is a once in a lifetime dining experience! It is a very pricey dinner, but it was worth every penny. The intimate setting, experienced and personable chef and staff, and the incredible food, my husband and I loved every bite!
Be the first to ReplySushi heaven.
For those looking for a more traditional experience, the nigiri and sashimi selections are impeccable. The fish is incredibly fresh, expertly sliced, and served with a delicate touch of wasabi and a side of soy sauce.

Let's just say it's a Japanese restaurant with a Filipino dessert twist. Seems like they offer dessert tasting/bento that's worth trying. Didn't realize this place was already a hidden gem in Orlando.

Such a special dining experience! From having house sake at the bar while you wait for your seating to the extremely intentional (and entertaining) progression of cold tastings, you are in for a real treat. Such a lovely atmosphere paired with even more lovely food.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely amazing sushi.
I attended the private lunch but it's open to the public with reservations

My third time visiting Kadence and it was just as amazing as always. The food, the service, the ambience -- everything was amazing. They also have extensive drink options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Creative dishes. Superb nigiri. Flawless technique. But above all - Kadence is run by actual humans. It's a glorious mix of being in a high-end sushi setting with a killer playlist and chefs who are people like you and me. Sake pairings and general options are thoughtfully curated and fucking delicious. If you want high-level sushi, there is no reason to go anywhere else. You haven't lived until you have an unagi hand roll listening to Trick Daddy. Accept no substitutes - this is the joint.

I've been eating sushi for nearly 40 years, started before it was trendy. Hands down this was the best sushi I've ever had. My son endulged myself and my wife to dinner at this Michelin Star restaurant. Chef Mark, his wife Jennifer, and helper Isaac delivered an exceptional visual and epicurian experience. We also had the 7 serving Sake Flight which paired well with the Sushi. Can't say enough good thigs about our experience. If you have an opportunity to try Kadence do not pass it up. Michelin Star well-deserved!

We picked up some items from their to go menu to try out - Fish was very fresh and tasty! It was easy to order on Tock and easy to pick up. The bowls were delicious, filled with a variety fish, and I felt comfortably full after. The space is colorful and small - perfect for a special occasion dinner!

They have earned that Michelin star and then some- this was the best sushi I have ever had in my life- and that's coming from someone who lived in Japan for 6 months. The ambiance is a gorgeous balance of modern and traditional with a fun/street edge, and I loved it! The dining space is an intimate bar set up on what feels like a hidden room so your entire focus is on the chef and those eating alongside you. It showcases the personalities of the chef, his wife, and their team. Their story is amazing and their balance of energy is so wonderful- the chef was fun, modern, slightly crass (Floridian energy through and through) in the best way possible, and his wife as our server was elegant, soft spoken, and incredibly kind in the most Japanese way possible. I paid for the sake pairing with each dish and would absolutely recommend to anyone that loves sushi or sake and wants to celebrate everything that's magical about food!
Be the first to ReplyThis was my final one of the four Michelin Starred
This was my final one of the four Michelin Starred restaurants in Orlando. I came here one chilly night in December, waiting for a mystery tasting menu that promised plenty of delicious, fresh fish. Their menu isn't online, and I like that. No one can get mad if a dish is missing due to unexpectedly low-quality ingredients, no one can get mad if a dish is added on because of unexpectedly high-quality ingredients. It's a surprise, a true omakase. You walk in, and the waiting area/bar is plastered with a wild, colorful, Asian-inspired mural that will keep your head spinning around looking at it for the entire time you're waiting to be seated. Then, the curtain is pulled back, and our super small seating of six people got seated, and the show began. There was the standard omakase offering of the sake pairing, but what I thought was neat was the non-alcoholic tea pairing that they offered. I jumped on that, and I'm glad I did. We started sipping on our drinks, and then the show began. I absolutely do not remember every detail of my meal, and I wouldn't share them with you even if I did. But I will give you some highlights. The show started off with a surprising soup, hope you're feeling adventurous. Then, a super large, super fresh oyster and some offal. These simple dishes really focus on highlighting one super quality ingredients, and pairing it with a minimal amount of ingredients just to really make the best parts of these ingredients pop on your palette. I loved it. The fresh fish dishes at the beginning of the meal were exquisite. Marinating in various delicious liquids, or just lightly smoked, as to not cook the meat, and the cuts they gave us were so thick, so the taste and texture of the fish were on full display and very apparent. I was pleased. Kind of the same thing with the sashimi course. Some fresh tuna, some blow-torched snapper, thick cuts, great texture. I was a fan. The only complaint I do have, and this is minor, is that some omakases I've been to, they go out of their way to tell us about each species of fish and where they were caught from and what notes to look out for when eating the fish. Small, but I do like that touch. Then comes the nigiri coursesss. A lot of prep work as the guy sliced it all up right in front of us, displaying his professional knife skills, I was very jealous. And then boom, one piece after another of huge pieces of fish with a small accoutrement to help the taste. Very good stuff. Very unique fish that you don't run into very often in Orlando. Then, winding down the meal, came a warm duck soup with some udon noodles. Very good. Deep flavors in that broth. And finally, desserts! A light, fruity bar with edible flowers and some granola-stuff for texture. Good. And finally finally, a matcha-themed tiramisu for the birthday we were celebrating. So delicious. So the meal was done and over with. I was very full and very pleased. I had only seen this move done at three star places, but we got a goodie bag to go home! A creamy, chilled green tea. And a poke bowl. Both meant for breakfast the next morning. This kind of added flair will get them that second star if they keep this up. Overall, this was an incredible experience. There were a million pros, and only that one con I mentioned earlier. If you can swing it, and if you like fresh seafood, you must come here.

Be the first to ReplyI wouldn't have expected such a delicious and high-quality
I wouldn't have expected such a delicious and high-quality omakase around Orlando! I got the dinner and tea tasting and everything was amazing. I loved the casual vibe with interesting music, friendly and fun service, and many cute touches such as the chopstick rests, watermelon straw on my mocktail, and flower shaped spoons! There were around 20 courses which is a great value for the price compared to other omakases I have tried. I especially loved that there was a real dessert at the end as well! The tomato dessert with shiso sorbet was amazing. I'm definitely coming back the next time I'm in town!
Be the first to ReplyMy experience here was nothing short of exceptional.
The food was absolutely delicious. The chefs were amazing. The music selection was dope. The intimacy of the place (only 8 people per dining session) was meticulous. I also opted in for the 8 course sake pairing (SO WORTH IT). If you get a chance to make a reservation, DO IT. Note* make sure you are a fan of fish, and not a picky eater because all 20 courses are unique and selectively chosen by the chef the day of.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a great experience.
Everything about this restaurant lives upto the hype and I can't stop talking about my experience. Went for lunch for my bday and it was amazing. From the music to the drinks to the food, just perfection. Mark and his wife provide an amazing culinary experience.
Be the first to ReplyThis spot was worth every penny.
Everything that was served was spectacular. You can taste the quality in each dish, everything was also paired so nicely. The overall experience was over the top- great music, great drinks and desserts. Mark and Jenny, thank you for your hospitality, see you soon!
Be the first to ReplyMade a reservation before they got their Michelin star and
Made a reservation before they got their Michelin star and happy that we did. Loved everything about the experience. The restaurant is small by design - 8-seats available for lunch and dinner. Lunch is 145 before tax and dinner is I think 225. Reservations are required for lunch and dinner. Reservations times are dropped about monthly and book up fast! Kadence is omakase style which means the chef chooses the items you'll get. The owners, Mark and Jen were great at explaining each dish and made the experience fun.All of the sushi was fresh and tasted amazing.I got the sake voyage which is a selection of 5 different sakes which are served through the meal. Jen, curates the voyage and decides which sakes will be served. They were all good with some lighter and sweeter than others. They have a sake flight with 3 sakes and another option with 7 sakes, all at different price points.Note: they play a wide range of music which includes some unedited songs. You almost feel like you're at a friends house - to me in a good way. However If this is a problem for you, you may want to avoid it. I'll definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyDining here for Japanese omakase is on par with dining in
Dining here for Japanese omakase is on par with dining in Japan. Mark and Jen seamlessly blend Japanese seafood with domestic, never compromising on the quality: seasonal menu that always changes but consistently phenomenal. Atmosphere is pretty laid back and the diners are usually chatty by the middle of the meal! Counter seating to watch your food being prepared: eat the sushi as soon as presented. Fingers okay (just like Japan). So Worth the splurge!!! Have been regular diners since they first started their counter at East End Market then eventually moved to their current location. Have had their lunch offerings, bar menu, Japanese breakfast (when they still had it) and the BEST chirashi bowl in town (to go when you're craving and can't snag a reservations) and continued takeout during pandemic restrictions. Ask Jen for sake pairings and witness her beautiful and delicious desserts (east meets west)! Michelin star worthy for sure. Highly recommended (even before the star)!
Be the first to ReplySave your money and go to Kabooki Sushi instead.
Paid $150 for a lunch that left me hungry two hours later. Terrible ambience with loud, violence-based rap music that made it impossible to talk to my date. My babysitter was unable to reach me while I was in this restaurant due to poor connectivity in their building. There is no item served that was superior to what I have had at Kabooki Sushi for a lower price. As well, I felt there is very little variety in the items served. Ditto for the drinks. An hour and 45 minutes into the experience all the staff disappeared which I guess was a cue to leave. I and the other eight people in attendance sat around for an extra 10 minutes waiting to see if anything was going to happen before we were told by the bus boy that no more food is coming. It was a memorable experience in the wrong way. I won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely a fun experience worth the price.
The restaurant is small and quaint. It depicts a traditional Japanese omakase setting. The food was excellent and fresh. The chef cuts and prepares the fish right in front of you and serves a multitude of different and intricate courses. I believe his wife is also a pastry chef and makes great desserts. At the end of the meal they give you a goodie bag to take home and enjoy as well. I would recommend to go if you're in Orlando and I would definitely go again. They also have a fancy Japanese toilet, so 5 stars.
Be the first to ReplyBlink and you'll miss this place.
Make sure you read the instructions on how to access this place. This exclusive little restaurant seats only 8 people per session. Welcomed into the waiting area by the bar, you can have a drink before your allocated seating schedule.Make sure you have an empty stomach before attending your session, as you will definitely need the space to fill it with the delicious food. Every dish was Devine, although my least favourite would have to be the sea snails.. it's not everyone's cup of tea but I still ate it (just close your eyes) haha. A great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyTruly a gem in Orlando! Kadence offers omakase, sushi Togo
Truly a gem in Orlando! Kadence offers omakase, sushi Togo on certain days, sake, and koala mama desserts! I've had their breakfast, lunch, and dinner omakase before. They're pricey but very well worth it. Each piece of nigiri is crafted to perfection in front of you. If interested, book early as there is limited seats and times. On the other hand, I also very much enjoy their take out menu as you get the same quality. They always have the chirashi bowl and then other rotating items. The chirashi bowl is sushi rice topped with chopped variation of fish. Their Kaisen Don was similar but with sliced fish and you get UNI!!! Their spicy tuna roll was fantastic, it was different from others that mince up the tuna. Their tuna flight tasting offers different cuts of tuna nigiri and some sashimi. Another fav of mine is the negitoro roll, minced toro mixed with fragrant scallion. Highly highly recommend if you're looking for fresh high quality fish! Definitely a great experience in Orlando.
Be the first to ReplyLet me tell you.
. this place is special. Kadence is your traditional omakase style restaurant with limited seating and two dinner times nightly. As this is also the most expensive recommendation on the list, save this special place for an occasion you will always want to remember. With it being a classic Omakase there is no dinner menu as you will just pay up front when booking for how many courses you want and it is all chef selection. Personally when I book I include no wasabi or it will be included automatically on the Nigiri. How to book: right now you can book reservations of parties size 1-5 on Kadence website or Tock. Do note reservations fill up the day they are released and are released on the website a month in advance. Follow their Instagram to see last minute openings/ when dinner will be available.
Be the first to ReplyBooked a month in advance for hubby's birthday for our trip
Booked a month in advance for hubby's birthday for our trip out to Orlando. I was so excited and had such high expectations but was very disappointed with the chef. He was either super drunk or was on something. He was very disoriented and shaking back and forth, going for a drink every other minute. The wife was super sweet though. The entire meal experience felt so incomplete and inconsistent. The customer next to me had a gluten allergy and he kept making mistakes with her food, felt so bad for her. Each dish just took wayy too long and seemed just way too messy (sushi rice frying everywhere and he kept putting it back in the bowl to make the next sushi). We arrived a little early for our 8pm reservation. Started our meal at 8:15 and ended up leaving at 11:10. The food was mediocre at best (everything was too salty and hidden by strong sauces). The bill is paid when you make the reservation so I guess they have nothing to lose. I would pay $600 anyday for a fantastic meal but this was not it. Smh. Sadly to say we will never be returning back to this establishment when we are back in the area. Sorry chef. Please do better.
