Fabulous dining experience at this Michelin star restaurant!
We found our dining experience to be delicious, innovative, very creative with excellent service and ambiance. Their degustation menu changes often, well paired with an excellent wine list. We chose a marvelous Brunello to accompany our meal. The petit bouches provided between courses were delicious, well chosen. Of all dishes served, we loved the octopus the best, overall our meal was excellent! Located in a very small street or vincolo close to Piazza Navonna, the interior of this restaurant is modern and minimalistic, with super cuisine! Godere!

We were lucky to find a last minute table for 2 and chose the 5-course tasting menu. Absolutely lovely food, superbly presented, interesting, varied and just the right amount. I particularly enjoyed the amuse bouche and the dessert. Lovely wine pairing by a charming and very knowledgeable sommelier. I will be back and I'll certainly recommending it to others.

This restaurant has perfected all spheres: food, service, and ambiance. To boot, their wine list is deep and stuffed with aged Barolo that was shockingly reasonable. Staffed with career waiters and somms that are consummate professionals. Their Michelin star is well-deserved, and…maybe missing a second star????

This was the tenth Michelin star restaurant we have visited and was to mark the special occasion of my husband’s 60th birthday which we were celebrating in Rome. Sadly the meal was beyond disappointing and was the worst of the ten we have so far experienced. The theatre, the presentation of the plates was second to none but the taste…well there wasn’t any!! The majority of the courses were warm or cold and just lacking in any flavour. To be honest, having only been back at our hotel for an hour, I’m still in shock and dismayed at how uneventful the whole experience has been…

This restaurant is located on the center of Rome and is just an amazing experience. Small restaurant where the ambience is elegant and sofisticate. I strongly suggest to try the set menu to enjoy the experience from the starter to the dessert. Thank you for the amazing experience.

We dined here as a couple and went for the seven course menu. Given the portion sizes and duration of the service, this was exactly right for us. The portions are meager so five courses would have been too few and nine too many. One big plus is that if you go for the seven course menu, you can choose which of the seven courses you’d like to try. The octopus and duck courses were exceptional. Both pasta courses very solid, as was the fish (I think mullet starter). The dessert was ok - I at least appreciated the chef’s attempt at being original. The crab and coconut soup didn’t work at all for me; it was a real struggle to detect the crab, possibly because of my choice of wine. The bread and various amuse bouches were excellent. I can’t fault the service. The waiter was excellent (a sommelier and waiter rolled into one). We were sitting in the small alcove section where four tables are located. At the start of the meal it was just us and another couple, which was a little eerie. Overall, I’d give this a 4.3 out of 5. It’s a typical one star Michelin restaurant - some truly outstanding dishes, some excellent dishes and a couple of awful ones.

You only have so many nights to dine out on your trip in Rome. Don't waste time here. We wanted a special dinner for our last night in Rome. We are a family of 6 but we are complicated since 2 of us are Gluten Free and 1 is vegetarian. We had let the restaurant know of our dietary restrictions when we booked the table about a week to 10 days before our reservation. This was our fourth Michilen star restaurant of the trip and it was by far the worst. Their service was abysmal, they failed to accommodate special diets and their food was not memorable. We looked at the options for tasting menu courses but because so many of them either contained gluten or meat/fish we opted to order a la carte instead. There were not 5 courses that we could have all eaten. The meal started off very rocky and did not improve. As we arrived, we were greeted with tri-colored potato chips perched in grape stems suspended from the ceiling by fishing line. They made an interesting centerpiece but we were encouraged to eat the chips. They tasted stale and under salted and they looked unappealing when there were fewer chips on the stalk. At the beginning of the meal, the waiters only asked my husband and I what we wanted as an aperitif - our other family were all in their 20s and it seemed very odd that they were not asked. I asked for a Spumante and my husband asked for a white wine but we were not given a wine list to choose our drinks - which seemed strange. My son and I have celiac disease and my son is quite sensitive to cross contamination. The restaurant provided each of us a rustic earthenware bread plate that apparently they do not wash. My son's plate, mine and my daughter's all had crumbs on them. My son sent for a fresh one and my daughter and I brushed ours off with our napkins. We received an amuse bouche that was a crostini with a fish topping and a macaron with liver pate in the center. For my vegetarian daughter they swapped the liver pate for a cheese filling. For the crostini they swapped gluten free bread for my son and I but they served the fishy crostini to my daughter and wisked it away with an apology but no vegetarian replacement. When they served my son his crostini it fell of the serving plate onto the table cloth. Instead of cleaning it up and bringing him a fresh one, they found a fork and spoon and popped it back onto his plate without much apology. Later, when we had ordered red wine for the second courses my son was provided a glass with 2 chips in it. They wisked the glass away and brought a new glass with the wine in it - without showing us if they poured it through a filter or anything to prevent any small pieces of glass inside. They should have thrown it out and offered us a new bottle of wine. The waiters left us a very long time with no water. They did not check back on us and left us for very long stretches. We were left so long after they removed the second courses that we were upset and asked for the check without any desert or coffee. They did not bring any petit fours or ather parting treat as is customary at this level of restaurant. This was a truly disappointing meal.

One of the best Michelin star restaurants we have ever visited. We had the five course menu with corresponding wine. The food combination was spectacular and the taste was amazing, You can really taste each single ingredient, while it is a perfect harmony. The Sommelier also did a great job. The wine, he selected, support the food perfectly. The service couldn’t have been better. Highly recommended. we will come back for sure.

Spectacular! From the small side street you go through a private door you must buzz to get in. When the door opens you are greeted by the staff and led to your table in the most lovely of rooms…. They have 3 rooms all differently appointed. I won’t spoil all of the treats but suffice it to say that form met function. The food was over the top presentation-wise and tasted every bit as good. They offer both a prix fix and ala carte menu. The wine list is amazing as is the staff who led me to a perfect 2001 Brunello. This was a highlite experience and if you love great food which meets beautiful ambiance this is your place. Pound for pound one of the best meal experiences in my days on this planet. Enough said, if you can…. Go………..

I regret having to report a disappointing meal here. If you look at my previous reports (pre-pandemic), they were almost always positive. The evening began brilliantly: a warm welcome, a great suggestion for the house champagne, and a good discussion of the menu. The amuse-bouches were original and fantastic and our shared first course of octopus was among the best we have had. Our choice of wine - a Cervero della Salla - was, of course, expensive but excellent. My sea bass dish was unfortunately quite bland but I think restaurants are entitled to misfire. It was my wife’s duck that was the problem: parts of it were inedible and anyone could see that there were many bits she couldn’t swallow and had to leave on her plate. So, of course, we should have sent it back. But not wishing to make a fuss, we did not and when the waiter asked about the dish, my wife said it was largely inedible. So I would have expected the waiter to discuss it or - since other staff would have seen she was having a problem - offered perhaps to bring another dish or something. But nothing. So, ultimately, it was the failure of the restaurant to deal with the problem that I think is important to highlight. I hope they will do better next time, since the reports on this restaurant are universally great and there were great elements to the meal.

We first dined here happily 10 years ago and were excited to return, with some of the same family. We were so eager not to miss eating here, we had to book our table the evening of our arrival from overseas, as our stopover in Rome was brief, and this was the only open night. The effort was entirely worth it, as we, once again, enjoyed a marvelous foodie, 5 course tasting experience, with superb wine selected for us and impeccable service. Our daughter had also eaten here in 2019 and felt then, as now, the food was as good as, if not better than ever. We are amazed and grateful that this dedicated fine dining establishment could emerge from the pandemic as if nothing had changed. We enjoyed the same quiet room, the same efficient and attentive service, and an utterly delightful selection of food presentations. The magic of ingredients, portions, and fine wine never overwhelmed, only delighted.
