Good Ramen, quaint place
Very characteristic place in the Times Square area. You order with a tablet at the entrance and after paying they make you sit in one of the corridors with seats on the left and right with removable booths. The Ramen is good, I've eaten better especially in Japan, but it's not bad. Experience to try
Be the first to ReplyReliable and tasty
ICHIRAN delivers consistent standard - delicious and always reliable goos quality. Fast service. Ramen is excellent, and the fact you can tailor how you want your ramen makes a difference. I like my ramen al dente whereas my kids prefer them softer.
Be the first to ReplyFun meal near Times Square
Ichiran was a fun lunch stop on our trip. We got there a bit early and the line was already long. Most folks were able to order quickly at a kiosk and then wait in another like for seats. We split into two groups so we could be seated quicker. The ramen was great and there were lots of options for toppings. We enjoyed the atmosphere, too, especially my teens.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious ramen.
The ramen here is just as delicious as the ones in Brooklyn and Shinjuku, Tokyo, and that says a lot. The chashu is a bit lean for a ramen, though. Regardless, I will come back.
Be the first to ReplyMust try Ichiran experience
This is such an authentic Japanese experience in NYC. The layout of the restaurant is just like the one they have in Tokyo. Ramen was also so good and delicious that I would think that I'm in Japan and not New York.
Be the first to ReplyFor the single minded diner
The ramen, said to be the best in the city, is very good, and, if not quite convenient to theater goers, is well set in the heart of the midtown shopping area. Though I have had far better tonkatsu broth in California and Japan, it is delicious. The only qualms are the long wait for a table, and the cubicle seating, lined up in a row like pigs at a trough, is likely imported from a Japanese salaryman setting and completely inappropriate for a social meal with family and friends who expect to converse and share tastes. Rather depressingly, this may make it ideally suited for today’s diner who focuses exclusively on their phone rather than those they share a meal with. Which maybe accounts for the lengthy line to get in, as much as the food does.
Be the first to ReplyTastiest Ramen Ever.
I loved it.. there was a small line outside. But the atmosphere was incredible.. the service excellent. They explained everything so well, and the food was delicious. So tasty, best ramen i’ve ever had. And I’m not a big ramen eater.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible. 10/10 recommend.
The ramen speaks for itself. The ramen is out of this world and unlike anything I’ve ever had. I followed the recommendations while ordering and do not regret it. The spice level of the recommended (2) adds great flavor to the broth, while not too overpowering but enough to tingle your senses. The chashu (pork) is excellent and I would recommend ordering extra. My wife and I came here on our visit to NYC and ended up coming back two more times during the same trip. Will always come back to Ichiran while visiting the city.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible Food, Worth the Wait
Small wait line outside approximately 10-15 minutes but absolutely worth the wait. Staff were quick and efficient. The food- INCREDIBLE. This was our first experience with true ramen and it delivered. We went with the recommended “settings” for each selection and we wouldn’t change a thing. Overall, great experience. We would go back.

Very delicious Ramen. Easily able to custimize. Look at menu before you need to order. Plan to wait in line, which moves quickly. Fast service. Only negative is that felt a bit rushed, but I think is close to authentic experience.
Be the first to ReplyA must!
If you love ramen then this is a must when in NYC! This was our third time here and it’s always consistently delicious! Love the little individual booths to sit in and the privacy of enjoying your meal.
Be the first to ReplyA socially awkward ramen-lover's dream
Delicious! Staff is friendly, service is great, and the ramen is top notch. Well worth the wait. Plus, the seating arrangements are perfect for solo travelers - much less awkward when you're grabbing a quick lunch vs. sitting at a giant empty table.
Be the first to ReplyYummy bowl of ramen for foodies
The well known tonkatsu ramen and its premium yakibuta are yummy! Taste is authentic. Restaurant lay-out and service are unique; on top of that, they do not accept tip. The catch: long queue before entering the restaurant. Come early…
Be the first to ReplyJust yum!
Just yum!! We had just arrived in NYC after a long journey. Tired and sleepy we wanted something simple. Luckily we arrived here just in time and we were the last guests to be allowed in. The queue wait was worth it. So simple but so flavourful. No fuss, no dramas, authentic and delicious. With our bellies full we slept soundly and happily.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing ramen
Long lines but worth the wait. Almost as good as Tokyo with individual booths that allow you to focus and gorge your ramen. Only disappointment is no beer but this so people just eat and leave
Be the first to ReplyOverrated
Yes it is a good ramen but not extraordinary, there are many other places in New York where you can taste e decently good ramen, same level of this one. There is no option of tables but only small single person desks, isolated from the ones on your side (very sad, very lonely very much Tokyo style); staff is efficient, not really friendly given the pressure. Portion is good but not abundant, especially if you compare the price (in other NYC venues no more than 25/28 dollars). There is a continuous flow of people and usually there is a line outside. My opinion is that it's not worth the line and the price too: for a normal tonkotsu with suggested complements, no alchool, I paid 35 dollars...too much. A good marketing and communication job has been done, other review can witness how many have been impressed, but the real thing is not worth the price.
Be the first to ReplyCool experience, good ramen
Very cool experience and ramen was great! We’d do it again. We waited in line to get in but was worth it. Love how simple it is and yummy.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful tonkotsu ramen soup
We have eaten at Ichiran in Tokyo and of course every time we are in New York City, we have to eat their fabulous ramen soup. The broth is full of flavor and just delicious. This is a very popular place so I would advise going when they first open or be prepared to wait in line outside. The line does move rather fast and it is worth the wait. You will not find any more authentic Tonkotsu anywhere else.
Be the first to ReplyBest authentic ramen you can find in Times Square
Since Ichiran is already a famous ramen chain restaurant worldwide, there is no doubt me and my family wanted to stop by for some ramen during windy nights in New York. The portion was fulfilling, had an amazing dinner.
Be the first to ReplyTonkotsu Ramen was excellent!
One of the best bowl's of ramen I have had. The yakibuta melts in your mouth and the noodles are made fresh daily. And don't forget the matcha pudding!
Be the first to Replyneed to wait for one hour just to eat ramen
this Ichiran is the same as the famous Ichiran restaurant in Osaka, Japan.
I don't know if the one in Times Square is managed by a franchise system or it is their restaurant branch from Osaka.
The queue is as long as the one in osaka. customers can wait up to an hour just to just eat ramen. the taste itself is quite good and authentic
Ichiran will never go wrong
Went to Times Square just for 一蘭. Knew that waiting is common for Ichiran so were not surprised. Ramen tasted even better after 45 minutes of standing, indeed a winter delicacy. Tried 10 times secret spice and it was good. I would probably give 15 times a try at my next time here. Servants did perfect job and the place is neat and cozy.

Best ramen I have ever had! Did take out it was amazing. Next time I am going to take and hour and sit and take in the whole experience!!
Be the first to ReplyPopular Ramen Noodle Stop
Apparently, the concept of eating good ramen noodle in a dining booth has been incorporated in this restaurant. This is a good venue when dining solo for a quick meal and being indifferent about personal server attention. The dining booth is a cubicle lined along a bar type setup. The servers circulate along the inside of the bar area. There are fold down screens between the 2 sides. There are also foldable partitions on either sides of booth. These may be folded back if you wish to interact with the neighbors in side cubicles. Oh, the ramen was also good with options for noodle texture and sauce spiciness.
Be the first to ReplyGood ramen 🍜
Really delicious ramen, nice taste, fast service, good porc, good rice. But expansif price, 1 ramen + 1 supplement rices 24 dollars.
