An amazing restaurant find in downtown san diego!! This classy eatery is a must try in this beautiful city. The interior is gorgeous and timeless, food extremely delicious and service incredible. Every dish that we had was flavorful and a treat. The bone in ribeye was melt in your mouth wonderful along with the chimichurri, huntress, bernaise, and other dipping sauces. Our servers were wonderful and we will be back!!

I want to start off by saying I did a great choice by bringing my boyfriend here for his birthday. Everything was amazing every staff work together as a team it was incredible to see that. I really enjoyed every single moment of being there. Of course you can't forget about the food, everything is so flavorful you didn't need extra sauces. I am so glad I was able to come here and celebrate my bf day & the great hospitality that they have to offer!! 100/100 I will definitely come back again :)

Amazing food. We had the best time on our elopement dinner. Manager Dakota was wonderful. Our server was so attentive and helpful. They suggested a more preferred table location than we had booked and got it set up quickly. The food was incredible. Everyone loved their meals and the whole experience. Highly recommend to anyone. Can't say enough good things about our amazing dinner

One of the most customer-focused dining experiences I've ever had. We went for our anniversary and was delivered a hand-written thank you note. We wanted to share everything we ordered and zero hesitation or crankiness from our server - he even encouraged it. We split the lobster curry soup and he even brought a regular portion in 2 smaller bowls. Even pre-cut and portioned out our steak. Drinks were great - I had a mock tail with coconut cream and lime - so good! The truffle fries were some sort of sorcery and the gnocchi Mac and cheese should be ilegal. Obvi we got the famous mushroom dessert and it was delicious! Top notch service and excellent food!

Huntress provides a mash up of high-end steakhouse and downtown club all within the same space. Top quality meats meet top volume bass. This place tends to get a wee bit busy and without a reservation, you could very well find yourself waiting at the bar for an ever-elusive open table. Plan ahead: make a reservation. Service was friendly and prompt, whiskey flowed plentifully and yours truly ordered a dry-aged New York 16oz. It was super flavorful, nice and rare and set me back $75 but you only live once. Overall good times were had, it's not a cheap date but it's good for an occasion and if you're hard of hearing, you may struggle a hit with the music but hey, welcome to downtown. I'd go back.

We sat at the bar and got the gnocchi mac & cheese, and a couple drinks followed by the infamous mushroom dessert. It was delicious, friendly and welcoming! It's definitely a beautiful space, and the presentation of their dishes is on point!

I'm not a huge fan of steakhouses but I would come back here for sure even if I live in LA. The steak was on point. They actually listen to instructions bc my filet was exactly medium. Melted in my mouth and I'm pretty picky with my steaks. All the sides were unique. The flavors were unexpected but our table loved it. We got the squash, mushrooms, cauliflower, truffle fries (even these were unique), and gnocchi mac. We killed it all. Our server Jackie was super nice. Two of our sides came late and she didn't hesitate to comp them. When she did that I immediately felt valued. She didn't try to make any excuses or anything. We appreciated that. Even the bussers were engaging and took random add on orders. The music wasn't too loud so it was easy to engage in coversation. I was impressed. I may come back to SD just to eat here again.

Be the first to ReplyCame here for dinner to celebrate my birthday.
Overall the food was good, but service was underwhelming especially considering the prices. To start off the night, we were running late for our reservation so I called the restaurant to let them know but the phone went straight to voicemail. The voicemail message said they'd return my call in 24 hours but I left a message anyways. We got there 2 min after the grace period and we're told by the hostess that they gave our table away. I mentioned the issue with their phone line and she mentioned someone else also complained about that today. At that point I'm wondering why they didn't call me to confirm I was coming, especially since they were already aware of issues with their phone line. Since the hostess gave away our reservation we had to wait at the bar for a new table to open up. We sit at the bar and my husband orders 1 drink and I order water. When our table is ready, we get the bar bill and they've charged us for a glass of wine we didn't order. So then we have to try to get the bartenders attention to undo that mess. Back at the host stand, the hostess wishes me a happy birthday and I'm even more frustrated that she gave away our original reservation when she knew their phone line was down and it was my birthday! Our service was very slow when we first sat down. Every table upstairs was full so maybe they were understaffed? No one refilled our waters at first--we just took the bottle ourselves from the side of the table. When our waiter came by I asked him a question about the menu, but when he came back 10 minutes later he forgot I asked a question, obviously didn't get an answer and we were starving just waiting to order. We ordered the Parker rolls, prawns, sea bass, filet, broccolini, and mashed potatoes. We also got the mushroom dessert and birthday dessert. I though the Chilean sea bass was very nice! The Parker house rolls were underwhelming and I was surprised that they didn't come out warm. I've gotten complimentary warm bread at other restaurants. So I don't think the parker house rolls were worth the price. The mashed potatoes were too liquidy for me. My husband's filet came out raw in the middle and he had to send it back. I'm glad he could still eat it afterwards, because after I saw how raw it looked I couldn't stomach trying a bite when they cooked it more for him. The desserts were the best part of the meal! The food was good, but for the prices we paid and considering it was my birthday, I'd like to have a more elevated dining and service experience. The bathrooms are for men and women with shared sinks but private stalls. The private stalls were disgusting. Several toilets weren't flushed and there was urine all over the seats. When a meal is $100+ a person, the toilets shouldn't require squatting.
Be the first to ReplyWent here for drinks and apps before dinner down the street.
I've been here before and thought it would be a great place to take my girlfriends. They loved it! The drinks were great and the bartender recommended one my friend loved. The appetizers were good. We had the scallops, and ahi tartare. They definitely want to go back!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful service, food, drinks and experience.
Celebrated our sons 21st birthday with family and friends. Our server made for a very memorable evening. Steaks were delicious and the sea bass was the best. Fun to have the magic mushroom with newly discovered pink chocolate. Delish. Hostess staff was also incredible.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly, the food fave me a huge stomachache.
I did not expect to have such gurgly stomach after eating fine dining, but I definitely did not feel good afterwards. I also just had water so I can't even blame alcohol for this meal. Lobster curry was delicious however. Very creamy yet strong in taste. The mushroom dessert was very cool to see. Delicious as well. The steak was quite disappointing and disgusting to be honest. Like I expected steak and it was just bland and had an awful taste to it. The only thing that saved it was the sweet potato puree. Wagyu or not , A5 or not, I just thought the steak could've been cooked better and I asked to have the chef cook it how they would. It's a shame for wagyu beef.
Be the first to ReplyOur waiter was the rudest waiter I've ever had.
I was trying to be very polite and he was very dismissive. He ruined my experience at this restaurant. The wine guy was amazing which is why I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars.

We had the most amazing dining experience here, the staff and food were incredible. We had Devon and Mike as our servers and "E" as our runner. The sommelier was fantastic as well. Big shot out to all of them and a female security guard (I didn't get her name) who saved us from a very intoxicated man trying to disrupt our dinner. They truly care about their patrons dining experience. I will most definitely be back when visiting SD!
Be the first to ReplyFun place to gather with friends and for a birthday dinner.
Steak options are pricey. The side dishes were okay. The frita fries were the best! Lots of cheese or cheese sauces on the sides. Overall, had a nice time. The service was friendly and hospitable. The dessert mushroom was an experience. It wasn't as epic and great as I thought it would be but fun to try! The cornflake ice cream was very sweet. I probably won't return but glad to have tried it.
Be the first to ReplyFun place to go for a meal.
Has a modern and nightclub feel to the atmosphere and service was quick and attentive throughout the night. The appetizers were good, the fried mushroom is a crowd pleaser. The steaks were all cooked slightly above requested temperature but still acceptable and yummy tasting. The highlight overall was the Magic mushroom desert which is an experience in itself - highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive for what you get.
Our server talked it up but my eyes and tastebuds work great. Drinks weren't very good. My broth they poured in my dish was well below luke warm and my fish was smaller than my palm. I thought they were trying to tell me something -_- what got me was the offer of house bread. I assumed it was complimentary but then I saw the menu, $9. Fine, but when it came out smh 3 rolls, thats $3 each. They were good, not great, and definitely not worth $3 a roll. Even the butter compounds they made were way too much for the amount of bread given. Re-think that one for sure
Be the first to ReplyOverall an enjoyable experience but it's a tad overpriced.
We got the rolls, wedge salad, and cowboy steakAsk to be seated upstairs for a nice ambience
