Discrimination at the Bar!
I stopped in at Hillstone WP to have a drink (Lemondrop Martini) I went to the bar to place my order as I was going to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. I was on my phone while sitting there waiting for my drink; 5min later an employee appeared out of nowhere sliding a card in front of me stating “Go outside to talk on my phone!” 😳 I wasn’t loud at all, I wasn’t laughing - there were others at the bar talking to each other, I could hear their conversations while I was waiting ; why the hell would I be asked to go outside. That is an offensive and subjective rule and it certainly should be revisited. Hillstone you absolutely ruined my evening!!! I took it very personal and will never visit your establishment again and will share with all of my colleagues, family and friends my horrendous experience!!

We decided to go to Hillstone for my birthday dinner.. it was a GIANT MISTAKE! We had been having drinks at Ruth Chris and I really wish we had stayed there, but we wanted to try something different for my birthday. We ordered the filet. It was so salty that it was not edible. It was horrible. We tasted it, then we let the server know that we did not care for it. We didn't cause a scene. We didn't even ask for it to be removed from the check. The manager came to the table. We thought she was coming to apologize for the food.......nope. My partner feeds me. We also like to hug. We were not making out, or causing a pda scene. Instead of apologizing for the terrible food, she asked us to stop the pda. Never in my life have I been insulted. It's not my fault that the food was not edible. I don't think we deserved the passive aggressive attitude we received from the manager. I'm extremely sorry that I wasted my birthday dinner and my time at Hillstone. I do not recommend. The food was salty and the manager was even saltier. I wish to God I had just decided to have my dinner at Ruth Chris. The food doesn't taste like it's been bathed with salt, and the manager and waitstaff have never made me feel so unwelcome.

Horrible service. No respect to women who they think they can make more money from men so they don’t even waste their time to take my order or find seats. I am sorry me and my friend probably make and tip more than 90% of the men here. Extremely sexiest and disrespectful. This place used to be cool and now it is a horrible vibe and service and smells like raw meat all over.

Read the recent reviews before going to this restaurant. The two managers in charge do not allow the following: laughing, talking loud, accommodating mentally challenged patrons, children, certain drinks to be made and any other skin color other than white is not acceptable. This is Outback Steakhouse house that is highly priced for the people who had rules years ago where separate bathrooms were used due to race. Think twice before going here. Ignorance is alive and well at this establishment.

We eat at Hillstone at least once a week, sometimes more in two other cities and have for years, including a few times a year at this location. The management here, however, has consistently been some of the worst in the company. But, our experience this last visit was simply appalling. We got a table for four even though my wife and infant were with us because my wife wasn’t hungry and wanted to walk around the grounds. She needed to use the restroom so came in to hand me the baby and sat down to drink a glass of water and say hi. The second she sat down, the manager walked over and castigated her saying the very large booth can only accommodate 4. She explained that she was just visiting for a second and the manager said if you’re just visiting that was perfectly fine. Two minutes later, as my wife was getting up to leave and grabbed one french fry for the baby before going outside, she walked back over and said “I just told you this table cannot fit you,” in the most rude, steady voice. To be clear, everyone was very well behaved and no one around us was disturbed. In fact, the two tables next to us were shocked and commented on the manager’s rudeness. After reading other reviews and looking back on the experience, it’s clear this manager is simply discriminatory toward families and children. At this point, we do not plan to return to any location and will be sure to tell everyone about this horrible experience.

Tried to get a table on Saturday around 1pm with 5 people. We have been there several times before without a reservation. We told them how many and they said ok and the hostess prepared 5 menus as if she was taking us to a table. Then she said, just a minute, I’ll be back, and she went and talked to a manager - the manager came over and she checked something on the computer and walked away. Then the other hostess said to us, sorry we can’t seat you at this time. We can take you later in the day.

Will never return to this restaurant. Mediocre food and poor customer service. They don’t allow phone calls in the bar or restaurant even though it’s so noisy who could it bother but the worst is that they don’t tell you any of their policies and are rude when they finally do tell you. Bad culture, poor management and overpriced.

This place is going downhill fast (see other recent reviews) which is a shame because I have been coming to this restaurant for close to a decade. Although the food was great the service left a lot to be desired. Our server (the name server is generous) did absolutely nothing after taking our food orders. He was nowhere to be seen other than up front chatting with his coworkers. When it was time for water, the check or even waiting for the check to be processed he was nowhere to be found for over 30 minutes. Not once did he ask if we needed water, additional items or anything else that normal servers usually do. Even saying have a nice day seemed to be too much work for this individual to handle. While the other passing employees grudgingly picked up the slack while he was missing in action I also wondered where the non-existent management was. After reading the other reviews I concluded that the toxic atmosphere the executive management has created is spreading to the entire restaurant.

We have been regulars for over 25 years, but stopped going when they stopped serving baked potatoes...we were shocked! Their steaks are incredible good and the service and ambience is superb...but the baked potato was always my favorite thing on their menu! We'll return when baked potatoes are back on the menu, but until then, we're going to Season's 52 and other local restaurants.

Made reservations for Sunday February 25th at 1:15pm and arrived at 12:30pm and had just a short wait to be seated. Lovely hostess seated 4 people and shortly after the waitress arrived and took our drink orders and told us about the daily specials. Not very long before the food arrived and as usual it was one of the best meals you could ask for. Nothing to complain about at this restaurant, ever. Some resent reviewers rated this establishment poorly, but nothing could be further from the truth. If you want a really fine dining experience, do try the Hillstone you won't be disappointed!

I came for lunch. I sat at the bar and ate my cheeseburger and fries. I ordered a 2nd burger with fries and told the bartender that I would need a to-go box. She said the cheeseburger we can make to-go but not the fries and then she asked what else I wanted to go with the burger. I asked her to bring the burger and fries on a plate and I would deal with the box. She reluctantly agreed. When another woman from the kitchen came out with my food, she questioned what I was going to do with my to-go box and essentially reprimanded me in front of everyone sitting at the bar for my to-go order and box. Frankly, what I do with food that I pay for is none of anybody's business. If I choose to eat 1 french fry off the plate and take the rest of it with me to binge eat in the car or give it to my husband who struggles with agoraphobia, it is my business! This restaurant management needs to lighten up on rules if they want the deluge of negative, customer service comments to stop posting. I have been coming to this restaurant for over a decade. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth and no desire to return.
