Michelin Guide Minced Pork Noodles
Michelin Guide premium noodles since 2016. Long wait for 40 minutes despite short queue as the MasterChef cooked bowl by bowl in a single stove instead of multiple stoves in other stalls.
Expensive at $6 per bowl which is double the usual but Worth to try once. Live to Eat.
Overpriced and over-rated.
Not worth the wait: Why go queue for >30 mins for a bowl of michelin noodles ? There are much better minced meat noodles that are less pricey ! Never been there ever since.

You can get bak chor mee anywhere in Sg. Nevermind this one. Don't waste time and money. Eat elsewhere.

Bought the $8 bak chor mee . A tad too much vinegar . Even though i like vinegar but the bowl only taste of vinegar and a bit chilli . Ingredients doesnt really blend well together for taste . Each on its own . The mee pok itself is not bad . The flat fish ( bian yu ) is ok . The meat pieces and lard is ok . The liver is those type of soft liver ( hun gua = for hokkien ) . The soup is authentic with a tinge of seaweed .
All in all , its just a not bad bak chor mee . Too overated .
Mediocre and not worth the queue
Giving this another try after at least a year ago. Came at 320pm, only 4 in queue. Took 20 minutes to get my Mee Kia, since Mee Pok ran out. Menu are now $6, $8 and $10. Went for the $8 to find out whats the difference. In Singapore for Hawker Mee Pok Ta even $6 is considered expensive, usual hawker noodle stalls charge $3.50 to $4.00. Michelin, I get it. This time round uncle is not relaxing, sipping tea. Uncle cook the noodles while 2 chatty youths one would pick the toppings while the other would take orders and collect payment. This didn't change, I hope those 2 would talk less over others' food and work more, as you chat you're bound to miss something. As it turn out, my bowl of extra chilli sambal Mee Kia seem under-chilli. Liver bits instead of pieces, and $8 probably gets me an extra wanton and 2 more meatballs. Noodles by uncle were Al Dente, vinegary but didnt give me enough chilli for umpf. Meat slices were a little overdone, so yea less talk would be good kids. Lard bits I counted only 2 tiny bits. Wanton skin is too thick. End day, over rated and too much hype, I would prefer Ah Kow's minced pork noodles in the same hawker centre anyday.

Went at 2pm on a rainy afternoon and joined a queue waiting for an hour. The wait was agonising but definitely worth it. The strong whiff of vinegar instantly mares this noodles stand out. The noodles were springy and the liver was the most tender that I had. The strong smell of the crispy fish were detached even in the dumplings.

It was quite a little trek to find this noodle shop. Needless to say there was a lineup but plenty of seating space. If you choose to dine in, it is quite stifling and the overhead fan does not alleviate the humidity. As for the noodles itself, the food was quite delicious but its hard to differentiate from other noodle stalls. We were on a mission to try as many Michelin rated hawker stalls/eateries. It was a worthwhile experience none the less
Be the first to ReplyGreat food! Overall, it's an experience worth having — but prepare for a long visit.
Great food, I can understand why it's Michelin-rated. The SGD 10 meal is the one to go for. Also, adding dumplings as a side isn't a bad idea. Now, other than that it's definitely not what you'd expect from a Michelin star place — an expanded hawker place that looks almost like you'd expect some Michelin tyres to be stacked in the corner. It feels somewhat chaotic, but approach it as an experience and you'll enjoy the meal. Will definitely be coming back!
