Perfect date spot! Hide & Seek is a very intimate spot that has a great food and a fun drink menu. The various decorative art sets it apart from other spots in the area!

Loved our happy hour experience at Hide+Seek! The decor and vibe of the place is trendy and upscale. Happy hour cocktails included martinis, sidecars, mules, negrois, and a few other classic cocktails. All of our drinks tasted great and the presentation was nice. All of the food was delicious but I wouldn't say it was a deal for happy hour. Most of the dishes came with two pieces/bites so we ended up having to double up on most things. Definitely come here for drinks but you can skip the happy hour bites. Our server was amazing!! He was so fun and attentive. We were celebrating Mother's Day weekend and he really made our group feel special. Thank you Hide+Seek!

A trendy and friendly upscale restaurant in a nice part of the city. Service and ambiance were excellent. We enjoyed the margaritas and an aperol spritz but found the food to be overpriced and underwhelming. We ordered items off the happy hour menu. The cauliflower was dry and lacked flavor. It desperately needed a sauce. The three shrimp on the skewers were under seasoned. The empanadas were greasy and didn't have much flavor. We may come back and try the main menu but we're not impressed this time around.
Service is great! Vegetarian friendly.
All the items in the photos are vegetarian. We would return for the happy hour menu from 4-6PM.
You NEED to go here for brunch.
An insane deal an entree, side, and bottomless mimosas. We had assumed that the mimosas would come in slowly because of the 1.5 hour time limit... wrong. Our waiter Ken was promptly at our table every 10 minutes to facilitate refills on the drinks. If you wanted to leave here sober- you will have to try your best. Ken is wonderful when in comes to attentiveness and kindness. What more is there to ask for? The food itself was stellar. Came in with low expectations because of the brunch deal and we were SO wrong. The steak and eggs were amazing. Only thing to note was we both ordered medium rare and we got well done- except the seasoning was so great it made up for it. Had the fresh fruit side and did not regret it. The mimosas were great, can't complain there. We cannot wait to come back for the amazing food and the food service that Ken gave!
If i could give zero stars, i would.
My friends and I came to this restaurant after hearing raving reviews on social media about it. We were excited for the experience especially because we were celebrating a birthday. But we all ended up walking out of there still hungry and cheated of our night. In the beginning, everything was great. They catered to us well; took our order promptly; gave us great drinks and appetizers. However, we found ourselves waiting for almost an hour until the server finally came up to us telling us that some food items (which we never ordered) were not available. Then, he proceeded to take our orders again to "confirm". Another 10-15 mins pass and I ask our server where our food is and he said that the kitchen staff is new and it will be out shortly. Eventually, the food came out (an hour plus later) and the food was not up to standards at all. They plated the food terribly. Three people in the party ordered ribs and they just threw the ribs on the plate and it looked very sloppy. The birthday girl ordered lamb chops and it was not cooked to the temperature she desired so they took it back and the lamb chops came out still not cooked to the temperature she wanted. My other friend ordered gnocchi and it ended up falling apart as soon as her fork touched it and it was so salty; she couldn't even eat it. The server ended up taking some of these horrible food items off the tab which we appreciated. Overall, this was such a horrible experience all from the waiting to the terrible quality of the food. Our time was wasted and we came out of the restaurant hungrier than we went in.
SO DAMN GOOD.
I wish I took photos but wow this place blew our expectations away! The interior is stunning, but the service and food take it to the next level. We ordered a bunch to share. A few of our favorites: Brussels sprouts, crispy artichokes, lumache, grilled oysters (!!!), short rib, branzino, brownie a la mode. Couldn't recommend enough! Special thank you to our server, Rashid, who made our experience next level. Fantastic server and fantastic food! We'll be back.

I would love to see the footage of their "server" pushing me out of the way to cut me in line for the bathroom that somehow got me kicked out. They claimed I pushed her and that they had "footage" that they refused to show me of me pushing her apparently. If she actually is a server (clearly with friends and dressed for the bar) isn't it completely inappropriate for her to push a guest out of the way even while "off duty?" When I asked for the bouncers names and to see the footage they threatened to call the cops which is hilarious. I know I sound like a Karen but this was insane and I've never been kicked out of a bar in my life (I'm 31) lmao. Also a Tito's soda is $17 that's literally the price of the entire fifth LMAO do not recommend
This restaurant is so beautiful.
It consists of two levels, there is a bar and dining on both levels. Upstairs has a dj and Bottle service. The host was pleasant and greeted us immediately. Our waiter did an excellent job in explaining the menu and even gave us a few recommendations. I tried a raspberry mock-tail, the Caesar salad, Brussel sprouts and pasta. The Brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious and enough to share. The Caesar salad is also big enough to share and had a unique lemon flavor and in-house made crotons. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the caramelle pasta dish as the pasta was undercooked, but my waiter was extremely apologetic and made sure I received a menu with the option of selecting a new entree. I appreciate how everyone went above and beyond to make sure I had an enjoyable dining experience. This is a really cute date spot with attentive service. I would dine here again.

horrible place i dont know if me an my friends was being profile because we are black. The waitress was rude accused of not wanting to pay when my friend went to the bathroom. this was supposed to be a birthday event it was horrible. I don't recommend anyone to go there and also the food was dry the steak just taste like pepper manager was terrible to. Also They didn't sing happy birthday after i requested twice but song for all the other customers that wasn't balck. worse dinner ever . What a trendy place to grab drinks and a bite.
Came here on a Wednesday night to celebrate a low-key dinner with a friend. I made a reservation however, there were some open tables so maybe needed during a weeknight. This place is trendy and absolutely stunning. It offers upscale vibes with huge chandeliers tufted suede couches and fresh flowers at each table. They also have stunning art work that adds so much vibrancy to the place. Our server was extremely attentive and often filled our water glasses, checked in to ensure we were okay with cocktails and at the end of the night brought my friend three scoops of ice cream for her special day.! The cocktails were tasty I loved the 'Heart in a Sage' apple brandy, pomegranate, sage, and lemon. Not too fruity and just enough kick. I will say for the glass size, the $17 price tag seemed overdone. As for food, the star of the show and menu highlight was the Lumache! Vodka sauce, italian sausage and ricotta. So so yummy, creamy, and the ricotta truly elevated the dish! Again, the portion size was smaller than expected however, it was so good it was absolutely worth every penny! I enjoyed my experience at Hide + Seek and it was a cute place to ring in a friends birthday.
This spot has such a nice ambiance and atmosphere.
The cocktails and food are so good. The staff was super amazing and welcoming. I loved how they gave their favorite recommendations from the menu. Def a spot you would want to try if you're in Chicago.
You'll notice how adorable this place is.
It is just as beautiful as the photos. Walking in with reservations, we were greeted by very nice people and seated immediately. The tables are a bit tight but that's all okay. Our server was nice enough but didn't warn us about the many 86'd items on the menu. This is after about 10 minutes of deciding on said items and needing to come up with a different game plan. First up was the Caesar salad. No bueno. For some reason, chef wants to do something different and use the nastiest, most bitter, huge uncut, escarole greens instead of romaine. The croutons aren't really croutons but instead are big chunky bits of hard to chew bread. The dressing and cheese were good though. It has the makings of a good salad but the execution...jeez. Ive never not eaten a Caesar salad so I guess it's a first time for everything. The sticky ribs were really good so they did something right there. The branzino itself was good but there's mushy and stringy artichoke hearts under it that should just...not be there. Would I go back? For pictures, yes. Maybe cocktails. Not food that's for sure. Let me reiterate how great the service and staff were. They are saving this place.
