Chewy bad roast beef
Disappointing. For the Sunday roast, we expected far better. The roast beef was actually extremely chewy and difficult to cut. The potatoes were impossible to cut or eat, just a weird texture. The vegetables, gravy, and Caesar salad were good. Servers were nice. So 2.5 out of 5 as you can't deliver a bad roast for the prices.

Best steak in London. Great selection of wines and tasty cocktails. Service was very good and they had many good sides. Bone marrow also delicious.

Had a lovely steak here last night! We went for the express menu so thought it might be smaller portions but it was plenty! Lovely rump steak & chips, perfectly cooked. Nice bottle of red wine to top it off. Staff were really friendly helpful. Nice atmosphere
Be the first to ReplyNo food …. Came all they way from Hastings
A real shame had made a booking for the breakfast that is being brought back at one location. When I arrived they said it was sold out - what’s the point of reserving something via email marketing if its not then available. Went to Fallow down the road instead which was brilliant.
Be the first to ReplyA crazy evening
We are very disappointed. But to bring out the positive first. Oysters were good. Ordered a bottle of red wine, got a glass. Ordered 750g. Chateaubriand. Arrived fully cut up and everyone agreed that it was not 750g. Something less. Tough meat with some tendons. Complained but was told that this piece was not a "fillet". Chateaubriand should be the innermost finest piece of tenderloin. But instead we were told that it was not correct. They forgot soda for the kid and they forgot a side dish for the steak. We ordered red wine again, two different slightly more expensive wines. Came after a long time, no one said which glass was which wine. Low competence in quality. No doubt they can serve good steak but we were very unlucky and how they handled it was not lucky.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch today at Hawksmoor. Delectable succulent beef with a subtle smokey flavour, crispy roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, melt in the mouth bone marrow, scrumptious gravy with great depth of flavour and yummy vegetables. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and professional, they are a credit to the restaurant. Literally everyone we encountered from the reception door check personnel to the waiting staff were fantastic, all in all, the branch is highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyKASIA is a credit to Hawksmoor Air Street
We travelled to London for my husband’s birthday in January and as always,we were booked in at the Hawksmoor on our first evening. Unfortunately, just before our starters arrived my husband started to feel unwell. We cannot fault the care, kindness, understanding and assistance that KASIA gave us during this time. She was also exceptionally discreet while ensuring that she was supportive. Unfortunately, he did not get to leave the hotel for the duration of the visit, but we are hoping to return next week. If it was going to happen anywhere, it couldn’t have been in a better place than Hawksmoor! As always, first class customer care and brilliant staff.THANK YOU
Be the first to ReplyPoor Service, Poor Communication
Arrived at the venue just before our reservation which was at 18.45 on Saturday with friends who travelled from Germany for my birthday. On arrival was told outside by a woman with a clipboard that they are closed due to a water leak and that they have emailed and called me. They called me three minutes before arriving, cancelled via email 10 minutes before arrival. They knew we had a birthday in our party as I mentioned it when booking, no alternative given, no suggesting to get a table at one of their London venues or indeed any empathy at all. It was very disappointing. Such poor communication skills from a place which charges a lot and which I have visited frequently in many locations across the UK with clients, family and friends. I certainly will take my business elsewhere.

Reservation for a birthday dinner. A water leak saw the booking cancelled. No phone call was made to warn us which is the absolute minimum I'd expect. Arrived to be told cancelled on a Saturday evening. Unable to find another place to eat. Cancellation received via email 50 mins after booking time. Really poor customer care.
Be the first to ReplyFood poisoning. No honour from management.
it has been three months since our visit to the restaurant. My husband and I had horrific shellfish poisoning. It was so bad that we were compelled to extend our stay in London by an additional day. This cost us the price of an additional night stay in our hotel room. We also paid a hefty (£400) penalty for having to rebook our car rental. I reached out to the restaurant to report the incident. We have both experienced shellfish poisoning previously. We knew very well what was happening to us. The restaurant said they would conduct a "independent investigation.". Surprise, surprise, they took no responsibility and blamed it on other factors. Nevertheless, they promised a gift certificate to cover the cost of our meal in consideration of our negative experience. We still haven't received anything from the restaurant, despite repeated follow-up emails about a month apart to the contact person who handled this issue with us. The experience at the restaurant, shellfish poisoning aside, was marred by a very loud room, and an even louder group of six drunk men who were seated next to us. We had hoped they would leave shortly after we were seated, as it appeared they were wrapping up their meal. Nearly one hour later, they still hadn't left. They kept ordering and getting served more rounds of drinks. We finally asked the management to speak to the party to lower their voices, but it really did not do very much to be helpful. The food was fine, except for the food poisoning. Portions were generous. This is a very loud restaurant. Deafening. We are just incredibly disappointed that the Restaurant will not honour its commitment to us.
Be the first to ReplyA little disappointing
The restaurant is good a nice decor and friendly staff but the food was a little disappointing. Expensive and although tasty not very special. It was very slow indeed and we didn’t have time for pudding because of this.
Be the first to ReplyGood vibe good food
Made a booking short notice and we were seated as request on time. Food order was taken promptly and food arrived well presented and in a good amount of time the servers were attentive if not a little bit too attentive as plates and glasses were being removed before I had finished chewing. On a personal note, I would’ve enjoyed the pepper sauce to have been slightly thicker however, I definitely recommend and would visit again I prefer the ambience and the vibe to seven dials
Be the first to ReplyExcellent steaks, but felt staff attire detracted from the ambience
As expected, the steaks were first class, being good meat quality and cooked as requested. However, one felt that the ambience was let down by staff attire that was at best ill-fitting and too-casual in dull, drab colouring - actually quite easy to improve upon.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
We are frequent diners at Hawksmoor but this was our first time at Air Street. Our children booked us a table as a Christmas gift to go with our theatre tickets so the table had been booked a while. We were sat at a table right next to the waiters station - why do restaurants do this? Despite several tables being available and it was an early meal 5:30pm. So we constantly had waiters stopping next to us also the next people they sat really close up us again despite the restaurant being fairly quiet. Our waiter was a bit uninterested and was actually quite rude when he came back to ask if we had decided on deserts - his words were ‘what do you want’ !! Disappointed to be honest. Food was really good as always though.
Be the first to ReplySimply the best !
Lovely ambience. We had a 600g sirloin between us together with grilled bone marrow, peppercorn sauce, french fries and sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream for dessert. The food was cooked to perfection and our waitress Vanessa was extremely attentive, polite and helpful. It was wonderful meeting up with Angelo Lupinetti, the manager. We shall certainly return when next in London.
Be the first to ReplyPoor value
We visited Hawksmoor Air Street for lunch, the restaurant was fairly empty and the overall impression was that the decor was tired. Staff were unattentive and very casually dressed, our waiter was also unfamiliar with steak types and didnt now what a New York strip was, which I had to explain to him. Food was unexceptional steaks were fine, but sides small. The real issue was the price of £280 for two for one glass of wine and soft drinks. Very over priced, clearly aimed at tourists.
Be the first to ReplySuperb Sunday roast
Absolutely amazing Sunday roast yesterday. Best meal i've had in a long time. Can't wait to go again! Great service too.
Be the first to ReplyFood quality improvement required
We visited this restaurant for dinner with my wife to celebrate our wedding's anniversary. Unfortunately, we were disappointed by the food quality. Our order included 2 steaks (a sirloin and a fillet) as the main course. We requested for both to be cooked medium. The sirloin steak appeared to have been burnt on the outside and was covered in places with black charcoal coating. This made the taste of the inside smokey and unpleasant. The fillet was luckily not as badly cooked. We have been several times to the Hawksmoor Seven Dials restaurant over the past year and have experienced great food quality when it comes to steak preparation. However, the Hawksmoor Air Street location appears to clearly have some kitchen staff issues. Considering how expensive the food is at this place, surely management should invest more in kitchen staff training and ensure consistent food quality. We requested from our waitress to exclude the sirloin from our final bill which she happily did for us and apologised for the bad experience. The overall service at the restaurant was good which compensated for the poor food quality experience.
Be the first to ReplyHAWKSMOOR HEAVEN!
Hawksmoor Air Street never fails to give us the perfect evening out when we visit London. They are consistently first class in all aspects and every meal is "tastebud" heaven as the filet steaks are cooked to perfection, are so succulent and tasty, each time , every time . We didn't think that there was anything else that could wow or surprise at Hawksmoor but on our visit in February, we tried another taste sensation! The home made salted caramel chocolates really are the best we have ever tasted. Even my husband who isn't a connoisseur of chocolate as I am, and he doesn't often eat chocolates, didn't want to stop eating them either! We would always have desserts and hadn't considered the chocolates , however, they also offer the option of a box of 8 to takeaway and to enjoy later! Please try these as I cant explain the exquisite experience in taste, texture and sensation that eating these were. In 38 years I have never, ever had to share chocolates with my husband and this really isn't the time to start! As per normal, lovely buzz, really busy in the restaurant and all the staff are so helpful, friendly and look after you. The customer service is always perfect before we visit as well and Sarah always answers any emails or booking requests by return as we often are making a last minute trip. Also thanks again to Becky for looking after us on our last visit and for sharing the secret of the "Willy Wonka" Chocolates!
Be the first to ReplyRoom for improvement
Chateaubriand was excellent if not a little red for medium, pepper corn sauce perfect Beetroot and carrot starters were delicious Lack off green sides was surprising for such a classy establishment, cabbage underwhelming. Pre dinner show reservation was around 6pm, restaurant around 70% empty so plenty of seats, however another couple were squeezed into a table right next to us during our main course I fail to see why servers do this other than being lazy, so many empty seats. I’d expect it if it was Saturday night but Monday 6pm was a poor show Hard to spot servers as all dressed casually, nearly flagged down a diner on the way to the toilet So in review Great meat and starters, atmosphere quite loud considering not many covers
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming food & slow service
We visited Hawksmoor on Air Street on a Sunday evening. We knew that our 6.30 booking time meant they couldn’t guarantee that the Sunday Roast would still be available but we were happy to have steak or fish instead. We arrived early so settled in at the bar for a pre dinner cocktail, the ‘Reformed Pornstar’ cocktail was very tasty. It got to 6.50 and we’d been forgotten about even though we’d let our drinks waiter know we were waiting for our table in the restaurant. Finally after enquiring about our table a second time we were taken through the the dining room. The restaurant is huge and nicely decorated. We were sat in a booth which was comfortable but very warm. As the Sunday roast wasn’t available by the time we ordered we went for 2 rib eye steaks medium rare, one fillet steak medium well and one Dover sole as the monkfish was also sold out. One of the rib eye steaks was quite fatty in parts and the fillet rather dry. Disappointing as this restaurant is supposedly renown for great quality meat. I went for ‘buttered English greens’ as my side dish and as it was £5.50 I was really disappointed when a dish of greasy cabbage came out! I expected a mix of green beans, broccoli, peas? I guess I should have asked the waiter exactly what was in the dish but yes it was rather underwhelming. My husband had the mac and cheese which had a nice crumb top on it, our other sides of sweet potatoe and triple cooked chips were nice. We had 2 desserts and 3 espresso martinis to end. We’d had a bottle of red wine during the main course. It ended up being £240 per couple. It was a special occasion so we knew it was going to be expensive but the service was slow and meal wasn’t ‘wow’ so didn’t feel the high price was quite worth it I’m afraid. I appreciate we went at a busy time but they looked to have plenty of staff working but none focusing on our area.
Be the first to ReplyLovely anniversary dinner
Had our anniversary dinner at air street and we had such a nice evening. From the helpful and friendly bar man whose name we didn’t catch but who was happy and willing to go over cocktail options with us to our lovely and friendly waitress ludi, who had the most positive energy of any waitress we’ve had! As recommended I had the crab on toast which was creamy and flavourful and my husband had the pork ribs which were melt in the mouth. We found the fillet to be the most tender cut of steak and the sides were so delicious we really needn’t have wasted an order on the chips which were fairly standard in comparison to the mash and macaroni cheese. Deserts were sticky toffee and frozen meringue and both were to die for. Had a lovely rose and for the amount we had found the bill very acceptable. Recommend!

Waiter got our orders wrong. He forgot our desserts as well. Waited 30 minutes for dessert and they never came. Entree’s we’re ok but wouldn’t go back again. Don’t go here.
Be the first to ReplySlow, slow, slow
Very slow service. Impossible to catch waiting staff’s attention. They just walk by without looking at customers to see if they need anything. How difficult can it be just to check each table you’re responsible for when walking past? The restaurant would make a lot more money if customers were actually able to order more items when they wanted to. As for the food - pretty average. Main problem is everything is over salted. Why does the restaurant add piles of salt to fries instead of letting the customer add their own? Cocktails were tiny and overpriced. Altogether a big let down.
Be the first to ReplyBest Rib eye we had in London PLUS yorkshire pudding
It wasn't a Sunday but the wait person was nice enough to serve us our desired Yorkshire Pudding ! The rib eye was soft and cooked to perfect. They have lots of vegetarian options for those non meat eaters too. The sides were yummy too. And dessert ..... We sat upstairs at a lovely table. Great service.
