Sosososo good!! Insanely flavorful.
I had to come back here a 2nd time just to try the rest of their dishes! Especially lovedd the Lamb Belly Noodle. If theres one thing you get it has to be this. The lamb is so tender and melts in your mouth. The noodles are soft and chewy but not overcooked. I would've ordered another plate of this if i wasnt so full already

Such a clean and delicious spot!Call me Squamish, but I'm picky about my restaurant selections! This one was great, quick and courteous service, delicious noodles and dumplings.

The Shanghai scallion oil noodles are the standout! If you go here, you must have them. They're the perfect al dente texture. The other items I tried, the mapo tofu and the spring rolls, were also good.

Food is amazing! The Dan dan noodle and the pork belly with garlic sauce have such rich layers of flavors. They're addicting. The waiters are very fast to get our order and filling up water. A 20% gratuity fee is included at least for big parties. The restaurant exudes vibrant energy that recharges you. It can be a bit challenging to hear each other at a long table sometimes. There are quite a few giant house plants and a variety of decorative lighting that elevates the interior design. Would definitely come back :).

Definitely loved the braised noodles with lamb It was a real surprise on how tender tge meat was, it really melted in my mouth. Will order this again tge next time I go. Place is carefully decorated and really beautiful. Service is nice but they took a long time on serving me, so after like a while, they camr to apologize and offer a complimentary wood ear appetizer which was good!

This is one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in the city and the decor is absolutely chic. Love the plants by the entrance. Great location. Service good
Be the first to ReplyI seldom write reviews but today I am really disappointed.
I felt like eating overpriced , reheated, premade, microwave food. We ordered steamed ribs, it was brought to our table within 5 min after we ordered. The shape looks like dumped from a container. Not fresh steamed. The soup of hot pot beef noodles is so dark and the beef was as big as my fist. Can you please cut it? The chicken soup noodle - the meat was not tender at all. Shrimps were covered in oil. So greasy that it made me uncomfortable just looking at it.
Be the first to ReplyFood has a 50% chance of being good.
Dan Dan noodles were good. Fish stew had an overwhelming oily. Spring rolls were uninspired.

The Dan Dan noodle was the best I ever had, and I've had plenty. There was a kick to it. The egg plant salad was very original and tasty. The XLB was not bad but not outstanding. Only 3 in an order and had to pay extra for a 4th one. Very unusual. Service was slack and hard to flag down a server. When I asked if the restrooms were occupied (no indication), the waiter said "I don't know", and walked away. I'd still go back for the noodles.
Be the first to ReplyI came here on a Tuesday night with a friend.
We didn't have a reservation but we were seated within 5 minutes. The place is very cute and vibey. I love the twinkly lights and openness. They place 70s music and it's a causal and fun vibe. Service was okay. I had to ask for water refill multiple times and flag down the servers. My friend and I shared the Seafood Scallion Pancake ($8), Shanghai Scallion Oil noodles ($16) and Dry Pot Pork Rib ($28). I liked the scallion pancake - especially the crunchy pieces! The noodles were good but a small portion. The pork rib was super flavorful and I enjoyed the presentation.
Be the first to ReplyHao Noodle has the best dumplings I've ever had.
Hands down. The pan seared are probably the best, but by a smidgen, because all the ones I've had are fire. The steamed pork and watercress are juicy and balanced. I also think the pork in chili oil are delicious. Any time I come back to the city I make sure I get my fix.
Be the first to ReplyFood was little salty but noodles were tender & chewy.
Good ambience and servers are friendly!
Be the first to ReplyVery good.
Came here for the Hot Pot Beef soup which I heard was very spicy. The heat level was very good and the beef was amazing tender and really delicious. Restaurant is very nice and service was goodI do there was more quantity for the $25 dish. Hate paying that and leaving hungry.
Be the first to ReplyGood service, decent taste of food.
Staff are very attentive. Dish wise, it would be the fried dumplings and stir fried pea shoots. Lamb stew also very tasty and sauce is quite yummy.

This place was nice! The interior was super cute, really liked the vibe of the place. Came here with a friend for dinner and the prices and portion size was great. I wasn't super crazy about all the noodles that we got (hence the 4 stars), but I think this place is definitely worth a try. The service was also great here. WINNERSReally liked the dessert we got - it was the soybean with black sesame ice cream. The Dan Dan Noodles were also great. The Vermicielli was also delicious. The Scallion noodles with mushroom was ok.LOSERThough the most expensive dish, didn't love the beef noodle. Thought that the beef was too tough. If it was more tender, it could have been more palatable and worked with the rest of the noodle dishOverall, a great spot and will be back here for those Dan Dan noodles!

3.5/5Hao Noodle serves elevated regional Chinese dishes in the middle of West Village. I came here with a party of four on Friday around 5 pm and there weren't many people there at the time, although the restaurant was half full by the time we left at 7 pm. They no longer have outdoor seating, but it was bitter cold that day so it was better for us to be indoors anyways. This is such a pretty restaurant. It felt very spacious but also cozy (maybe because the table was kinda small for all four of us haha). The servers were attentive throughout and were overall very nice and respectful. As for the food itself, it was pretty decent. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls, eight spice crispy tofu, mapo tofu, sweet and sour ribs, and braised pork belly. The dishes were generally pretty good, but nothing wowed me. For the price you pay, I'm not sure if you can say it's worth it. I don't think I'll be back, but I wasn't disappointed during my meal!

If you're looking for a nice space with good food for a large group in West Village, this is the place! Came here for a party of three with a same day reservation on a Friday night. The space is large and plenty, and when I first arrived around 5:30pm, I was unimpressed by the paper menu's, empty tables, and decor. As time passed the tables started getting filled up, and by the time we finished our meal, the place was fully packed! The food here is pricey but refined - anyone who makes the argument that Chinese food "dirty" or "greasy" wouldn't have much grounds here!I'd love to return the next time I want to have a large family style meal with all my friends.

the prices for the food here is a little astonishing but it was at least very good. $20 for mapo tofu is something i hope not to fork over too frequently lol.Waitstaff was friendly but stretched very thin, we had to flag down our waiters everytime for almost everything. The braised pork was very good, and mapo tofu wasn't bad. The fried mala shrimp was a little greasy and fried too heavy, but otherwise a cool combination of flavors. Interior decor is interesting but cool. I'd recommend reservations if you can snag it, seems to be rather popular as well.
Be the first to ReplyGreat date spot.
Extensive food and drink options at very reasonable prices. The space is big and and the interior design is very cute.

Did a mini birthday dinner here with some friends because the place looked festive and beautiful - love the fairy lights! The crispy tofu was super soft inside and perfectly fried on the outside (though a little difficult to pick up because it falls apart). Flavor wise, the dish was alright, but not bad by any means. Veggies were surprisingly good and flavorful. We got the wasabi cucumber salad, but everyone at my table was particularly impressed with the umami flavor of the sautéed milk cabbage (looks like bokchoi but not sure if they're the same thing).Dan dan noodles tasted how they should, good quality, though not too memorable for me. Really enjoyed the black bean flavor in the back pork belly dish - I kept coming back to it. Total for 2 mains, 2 apps, 2 bowls of rice and a bowl of noodles came to ~$100 which I think is great for a dinner in manhattan that feeds four, especially considering how nice the restaurant looks inside. Overall a very nice experience :)

Try the dan dan noodles, crispy shrimp, and egg dumpling stew. Be happy.
Be the first to ReplyMy daughter and I were visiting New York City.
My son lives in Brooklyn. He suggested we go here for lunch. It's one of the few places he has not yet tried. After our lunch I'm sure he will be back. The food was amazing. Every single dish. The service was phenomenal. Our water was never empty. The timing of the food was perfect. The atmosphere was modern yet comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. I highly recommend. I will definitely come back.

Was very hesitant about coming here because i was worried it would be one of those "expensive for the sake of being expensive / demographics of the neighborhood" -- but was pleasantly surprised. The food is indeed pricier than equivalents you can get in chinatown&elsewhere, but quality makes up for it in my opinion. We tried:- soup dumplings 10/10: this might be my new favorite xlb in the city. Although you only get 3 for $7, theyre (slightly) larger than other places and the soup and meat and skin are excellent. The skin is a bit on the thinner side, which i prefer, but also a little prone to breaking, as i broke two lifting it. - spicy fish stew 9/10: was surprised by the yellow visual but don't let your guard down as there is a bit of spice to it. We ended up ordering rice to eat with it but it would also be great on its own as the flavors are not super overwhelming- lamb belly 9/10: my main confusion with this dish was how much (& large) the carrots are as i don't love carrots but the noodles are a remarkable chewy texture and the lamb is deliciously tender.
