This was such a cute show! They tell the whole story of the grinch, though they sometimes add their own lines making it twice as better. It was performed really well, everyone looked like the Who's, the Grinch looked and acted like the Grinch, they even made it snow (fake snow of course) at the end. It was a really nice show. Really bring the kids, they will love it. The set up on the stage is constructed really well. Everything was great! Definitely will go back again :) the wait wasn't that long, I knew they were all getting ready so it would be a while. They have a designated area to park strollers. It's at stage 20 on the Island of Adventure Side I think... So much fun! Singing was great. Kept me entertained and the seats were comfy!

This was amazingly awesome! We had such a good time doing and seeing grinchmas. The grinch was such a good actor and the play was too notch. This is for sure a must see and experience
Be the first to ReplyWe had a great, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide on
We had a great, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide on the Holiday Tour but the event planning was horrible. There were no guest considerations for the castle show. The size of the viewing area was reduced from previous years. It was as cramped and uncomfortable as if we were day guests, in spite of the premium price for the not very special guest treatment. We were not allowed on the bridge to view Hogwarts light show which both eliminated one of the best viewing areas and further gave us the feeling of being a sardine and not appreciated. The show was was delayed 30 minutes due to a long line at Hogs Head. This affected many for the park's benefit of more alcohol sales. I left the area and skipped the show. It wasn't worth it to stay in the crowd. The show delay also caused us to miss the water taxi back to our hotel. The super long walk was not at all enjoyable either by the way. The directional signage on the sidewalks were very hard to read in the dark. Additionally the parade was not included this year and Meet the Grinch was much better organized last year with much shorter lines and more time to snack (we couldn't finish eating). Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money or time.

What an amazing production! I don't know if they offer this every year, but if they do, it's a definite 'must'. During our visit masks were recommended for indoor activities, but optional and most of the guests were not wearing them. Some of the actors were wearing masks as well, so it's really personal preference. You can access the show from either park. The theater seems to be located behind the HRC, and it was quite a long walk from Island of Adventure, out of the park, behind the scenes, and then into the other park where the theater is located. That was actually fun. The theater itself is large and it's first come, first seated, so if you like to be front and center, get to the show early to claim your seat. After the show, we returned to the park via the same behind the scenes route. The stage set is very nicely done; bright and colorful. 'Max' is played by a pup (and their handler keeping tabs on this particular actor). There is singing, dancing, lots of props, comedy and it's just good fun for the whole family. I'm not a huge 'Grinch' fan, but this show really was a lot of fun and well worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplyThe Grinchmas is the Holiday show at Universal, located at
The Grinchmas is the Holiday show at Universal, located at Islands of Adventure. The seasonal show runs from November through early January 2nd after the New Years. The show is located in Dr.Seuss Landing right between the Cat and the Hat Ride and One Fish, Two Fish.Seuss Landing is also decorated for the Holidays. It's quite beautiful, especially at night. There are a variety of great pictures that you can take. The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular runs about 30 minutes and is located in the back-lot. It's slightly a walk to get to the theatre area. It is a family-friendly show and has lots of singing/dancing. Right now, with the health restrictions, all of the singers wear face masks. Max is a real dog which is pretty cool. Towards the end of the show, you'll see snow fall from within the middle of the auditorium. We ended up arriving about 15 minutes prior to the show and got decent seats to the left center of the stage. We didn't sit too close as we wanted to be able to view the entire show. The singing was absolutely amazing! This is by far one of my favorite Who-liday shows offered at Universal. It is a must see show if you're visiting Universal during the Holidays!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a really cute seasonal section in Seuss Landing
This is a really cute seasonal section in Seuss Landing where the entire section is not only decorated in Christmas, but all the Who characters are spreading holiday cheer. It runs from November 13th to January 2nd. They have Who's walking around on stilts and they do pop-ups where you can take pictures with them. They are very friendly and interactive and my littles enjoyed the area the most. You also have the opportunity to take a picture with Santa Grinch. He looks and acts the part very well. He is the real deal. The actors that play them really get into character. At night the section lights up like a Christmas tree (pun intended). The highlight of the area is the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular. It is about a 30 minute show that is a condensed version of how the Grinch Stole Christmas. It was a very family-friendly show. I was very impressed. They even have a real Max the dog. The show has humor, dancing and singing. The actors are all great. I recommend getting in line for the show no later than 20 minutes before show time, because on packed days they fill up very quick and they cut off the line. The show is indoors, in what I believe is the old Blue Man Group studio. They have bathrooms and a snack bar down there. The best seats are either in the center or to the left of the stage. The Grinch and Max come in stage left. This show is a must see if you can swing it. It is Broadway quality.Grinchmas as a whole is definitely worth planning your trip to Islands of Adventure around. It is a fun, colorful and interactive area with a fantabulous show to top it off.
Be the first to ReplyI grew up with the Jim Carey Grinch.
Therefore, I will always be biased and it will be my favorite. Universal has always been one of my favorite theme parks, and brings out some awesome surprises around Christmastime. There is always a free show of the Grinch, which you could think of as a shortened version of a Broadway-ish production of it. And yes, it's awesome. They do such a great job of portraying the film, and keeps the audience laughing throughout the show. The actor who plays the Grinch does such a great Jim Carey impression that you would hardly be able to tell the difference! The show even comes to life after it's over. If you go out into the Dr. Suess area of the park, you'll find Whos running about with their presents, and you may even spot the Grinch to take a photo with him (Who's HILARIOUS to meet in person btw) Such a great experience! Something not to miss during the holidays.
Be the first to Reply"You're a mean one, Mr.
GrinchYou really are a heelYou're as cuddly as a cactusYou're as charming as an eel, Mr. Grinch!"The Ginchmas Who-liday Spectacular Show is at Universal Islands of Adventure at Seuss Landing and stars the Grinch in the telling of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", features a full cast of Who-ville residents, Grinch's dog Max, and some great music by Mannheim Steamroller. The entire Seuss Landing gets transformed into WhoVille from the Grinch movie for the holidays in the name of Grinchmas and this Grinchmas show really puts the icing on the cake! The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular Show runs multiple times every day, November 17th through January 6th giving patrons a pretty large window to catch this seasonal show!Showtimes include: Nov. 17-24, Dec. 15-31, Jan. 1 - 10:45 am, 11:45, 12:45 pm, 1:45, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30Nov. 25-30, Dec. 1-14, Jan. 2-6 - 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30, 3:45, 4:45, 5:45Seating for the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular is first come, first serve with no express pass available so you'll want to get in line 10-40 minutes before the show is scheduled to begin depending on how busy the park is or how close to Christmas time you visit because the park gets way busier December 20th through December 31st. We walked in 10 minutes before showtime without any problems early in December. Guests are led from Seuss Landing to a soundstage located between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. If you love dogs, I recommend sitting on the right side of the stage. From there you will get a closer look at Max, the Grinch's dog, and the Grinch's sleigh for the finale. Otherwise, I recommend sitting at the middle of the stage for the best view. Songs performed included: - Man with a bag- Where are you Christmas- You're a Mean one Mr Grinch- Deck the Halls - Fah who Foraz, Dah who Doraz- Welcome ChristmasThe Grinchmas show lasts 30 minutes which seems like the perfect length of time for me, not too short or too long. The character who played the Grinch was perfect! He sounded just like the grinch from the Jim Carrey Movie and he was pretty Funny too! I was surprised that they were able to train a real dog to act perfectly for the show too! The talent of the singers and the performers were spot on! I didn't notice any mistakes in our show! The Grinchmas show is perfect for getting into the Christmas spirit and i Highly recommend not missing it if you visit during the holidays! You wont regret it!

Amazing show we were able to catch last night! The grinch character(s) were the best and had the entire audience laughing and engaged the whole time they appeared. The singing quality of the performers was broadway quality and we had never been inside studio 20 so that was a great experience.
Be the first to ReplyThe show was fun! I truly enjoyed watching it and could not
The show was fun! I truly enjoyed watching it and could not wait to actually meet the Grinch!!I waited in line for around 30-40 minutes to meet him and I was so excited! We are ushered in and he said one quick punchline and was like okay come on let's pose - photographer snaps and says different pose. The Grinch still had to his arms around my boyfriend and I so we weren't able to do a different pose, wouldn't matter anyways because seconds later the photographer says it's over and is rushing us to get out of the way. I hear from behind me the Grinch saying, "I'm off my game today." Yeah... ya think?! I was so excited to finally meet him after years of never actually waiting in the long line. So we go up to the register and handed him the card to see our pictures. They were horrible.. you could tell no one was ready in either of the TWO pictures. I asked if I could snap a quick picture and the cashier got the pictures off the screen so fast I didn't even know what happened. I understand if you don't allow people to do that but you could just explain that is it not allowed and that you're sorry. I don't know if maybe since they are with the Grinch but every single employee was basically a Grinch too. It left a sour memory of what was supposed to be a fun thing to do.
Be the first to ReplyThis was such an adorable show.
I loved the singing, rhymes and jokes that can be appreciated by everyone. The singing was terrific and the thoughtfulness of how this show was put together really surprised me. I also admit I waited in line for 45 minutes since the show would be full way in advance of the showtime. No kids and this was well worth the wait. (After Harry Potter, the Grinch area may be the second best themed area of Universal - so thank you, Universal.)
