Gramercy Kitchen New York Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent food and service.
Able to order and eat quickly. Tons of options to choose from
Breakfast
Went here around Christmas time with my daughter for breakfast. The service was fast and staff was friendly. Lots of options to choose from the menu. Place was clean and it had a really good atmosphere.
The age of New York City diners are over.
This place has gone downhill fast. They can't even get a basic tuna melt right. Hint -you actually melt the cheese. Most diners in NYC used to be honest and good. They also use to make most of their desserts and bread in-house . Those days are over so perhaps I am still living in the 80s. Maybe one day there will be a revival of quality diners. Just not this place .
Good, kind of expensive but it's cute neighborhood spot.
It was packed and service was quick. I got the berries with yogurt and it was pretty good. My friends liked their omelette and pancakes. Nice place to stop by. I want to try the mimosa tower next time!!

My friend Jorge and I randomly walked in here back in 2001 and thought they had the best cheeseburgers we ever ate. I pass by all the time and always have nostalgia about their burgers
Diner with more sophistication
Because of its large menu, this is a great place for a big group to have breakfast or lunch. The menu has a nice mix of everything. Can really find anything you would enjoy. The food was good and service was friendly and efficient. Has a bit of a diner feel with more sophistication.
Our omelets, potatoes, and toast were cold.
The cold omelet had orange American "cheese" in it, thought I'd asked for cheddar (which is an option on the menu). The cold "homefries" were like leftover mashed potatoes with zero flavor. The cold toast was served not with butter (as the waiter had mentioned) but blobs of cheap margarine. Servers were super nice, but didn't make up for funky food.
High 3.
5 Solid spot for food with good pricing. It's a really good place is you want breakfast at night, granted we didn't get any breakfast items. We got the onion ring as the appetizer but it was fried for a bit too long and the critique is that it was not served with any dipping sauce. My brother got the turkey club and it was under seasoned but the fries was amazing good and crispy! My chicken sandwich was really delicious with all the added item inside, although it made it hard to eat because it was so thick. The interior was nicely decorate with Christmas decorations; however, we were seated by the window and it was starting to get a little chilly the longer we sat there. The service was a bit slow despite not being overly busy. With that being said, I would still come back because I felt that the chicken sandwich was really good!
Probably my go to breakfast spot in Manhattan for the past
Probably my go to breakfast spot in Manhattan for the past 2 years. Service is good , the waiter did drop our glass of mimosa all over us during but it's okay mistakes happen. Was hoping for a replacement of the glass of mimosa that was spilled by the waiter but we didn't get one. Food is always great!
Nothing wrong with this spot! Classic diner vibes.
Quick service. Lots to choose from. Just a bit pricey for what it is but like so are 80% of the diners in Manhattan.
We'd been here before and liked it and came again for lunch
We'd been here before and liked it and came again for lunch when our first idea further down the street turned out to have a C health rating but didn't advertise it (thank you Yelp!). We got seated immediately in a nice, bright area, and the place was humming with customers. I ordered a veggie panini that wasn't too big-- they need more veggie options--I think this was the only one aside from breakfast items like bagels and pancakes. My partner got fish tacos and the chicken soup side. All served in a reasonable amount of time. I was impressed most with the service: In a city where there's still understaffing in a lot of places, Gramercy Kitchen almost felt like they had too many people working for them, which is what it takes, I guess. Like some have mentioned, it's pricier but all inclusive with a drink and a side plus you're not left to fend for yourself like in too many spots. Also bring cash otherwise you will end up paying almost 4 percent more on top.
Nice service, a lttle pricey, wish they had a choice of
Nice service, a lttle pricey, wish they had a choice of whole wheat or whole grain bagels. Ate my bagels and lox on whole wheat bread. It was ok.

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
