Geronimo Santa Fe Reviews from The Last Year
Great Experience but Pricey.
Fantastically creative cooking with a southwest flair. Impeccable service. Beautiful restaurant located in a cool area. Superb wine list. However, servings were a bit side and prices were too high. A tip of that hat to the restaurant for not allowing children under 10 at dinner. It was great not to have to listen to shrieking brats while we dined.
The food was outstanding - though dessert was disappointing.
Ambiance was perfect. Waitress was unfriendly.
it's suspicious how cheap they make their food on the menu.
It's all gourmet food and it's so cheap.; I wonder Y ?
Truly memorable!
We arrived without a reservation but were able to be seated! People watching was delightful, service was great and the food was so very good! The flavor mixtures were perfect for both my husband’s sea bass and my Mexican prawns. Another flavor delight was a pear and cashew salad with grilled blue cheese and arugula - another delicious blend of flavors. A fabulous meal.
This is my favorite restaurant.
Service is excellent, food is excellent, each and every time I've been here has been fantastic.
We had a wonderful experience at Geronimo, our favorite
We had a wonderful experience at Geronimo, our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe. You can expect exquisite food, expert staff, and beautiful restaurant.
Ate here for the first time and it was fantastic!
Ate here for the first time and it was fantastic! Absolutely wonderful service, fantastic food, and delightful ambiance. Truly appreciate the free valet parking too. We had the elk and the salmon which are scrumptious!
Fantastic Dining!
Absolutely one of the finest restaurants in Santa Fe. Service, ambiance and of course the food is fantastic. We had the elk tenderloin and salmon. Best I've ever had.
Absolutely worth the hype for one of Santa Fe's fine dining
Absolutely worth the hype for one of Santa Fe's fine dining establishments. The setting is just idyllic - Cute adobe style building on canyon road with the coziest interiors, dimmed lighting, lit fireplaces, and INCREDiBLE art pieces to marvel at, so good that I had to walk around the restaurant to see the others. Service exceeded all expectations, beginning with complimentary valet service. Our waiters were very knowledgeable and professional, quick with the service and always checking on us without being bothersome. Depending on how busy the night gets, they sometimes only have one service earlier in the evening. We came on Monday night at 6pm and by time we left around 730 all the tables were full. Reservations are a MUST. Food is absolutely outstanding, with a robust menu it will be hard to choose. The special appetizer was a pasta with braised pork that was a perfectly sized portion for one. I wish they offered it as an entree. We also had a Wasabi Cesar Salad with freshly made croutons that are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best salad I've ever had - so good that I will go back just for another. For my main, I enjoyed the Elk Tenderloin which was served medium rare on a bed of cheesy, bacon mashed potatoes and some veggies. Amazing! Elk can be quite gamey but the flavor was quite soft. Overall an excellent, dare I say must-eat experience not to be missed.
Class and commitment to excellence.
Geronimo’s is a top five all time for me. Situated along Gallery Row it’s intimate calming and spirited. The service and food is superb. Highlights: sherry mushroom bisque, green chili croissants and roasted elk! Had fun with Grant our water bantering about college basketball. He paired us with the perfect wine served us effortlessly.
The food was amazing.
The atmosphere was beautiful. The service was fantastic. I don't have a single negative thing to say. Above all else, the man doing the valet made our entire experience memorable. He was kind, informative, and thoughtful. Even had our seat warmers going when we got in. Highly recommend!
Beautiful restaurant! We were welcomed warmly and treated
Beautiful restaurant! We were welcomed warmly and treated well from the hostess to the server. They did such a great job making us feel pampered and appreciated. The food was great, I had the shrimp entree with rice cakes, and my friends had the Elk steak and items from the vegetarian tasting menu. All were cooked perfectly and delicious. We had a blast and will definitely revisit when in Sante Fe.
Simply PERFECT
Prefect! From being greeted warmly at the entrance, a glass of complimentary champagne , I knew the night would be special. And it exceeded that.
The best restaurant in Santa Fe
Clearly the best restaurant in Santa Fe. Food is outstanding, service impeccable: attentive without being intrusive. It is like good restaurants used to be. One of its best features is no children under 10, so there is a quiet ambiance almost totally lost today. It is expensive, but well worth it.
Inspired Chef
Great restaurant in classic Canyon Road, with a exquisite staff. To Raul Daniel Gonzalez-Blackowl. May 25, 2005 - December 15, 2023. Who worked at Geronimo's; and inspired to be a chef. He took classes at the community college and in Poaque. Raul the 6th out of seven children, and an enrolled member of the Southern Cheyenne tribe. Sadly he lost his battle with depression and passed on December 15, 2023. His ashes will be buried in Mexico with his father's side of the family. You can visit his memorial and leave flowers at Calle Carmelita by the cluster mail boxes.
Food was amazing and the restaurant was beautiful.
I had some issues but the manager resolved my complaint. Highly recommend the elk tenderloin.
Great for a special occasion.
The ambience is extraordinary and the food is to die for. Very expensive, but this is the most famous restaurant in New Mexico.
Upscale Dining in Santa Fe
Expensive but worth the price. Service was great and food was great. I had the Elk tenderloin, which was suggested, and was great. My wife had sea bass Also great. Friend had lamb. Homemade bread is a must.
over-rated
highly rated, but our experience was kind of blah. Food was "good" but not excellent. Had to send my dish back. Excellent service and nice atmosphere. Expensive so-so experience.
Very expensive but very good quality.
Nothing bad on the menu but be prepared to shell out a hundred dollars or more for one person
Beautiful restaurant with delicious food
We were lucky enough to snag a table for 6 over Thanksgiving to celebrate bithdays and an anniversary! The food was delicious especially my elk and according to my 15 year old grandson, so was his lobster!

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
