The food is made hot and delicious. But can get. Try crowded during full moon. we waited nearly two hours. But worth the wait as the food was amazing

Be the first to ReplyTried to visit last night but unfortunately was shut :(
We saw the reviews of this place and we were sooo excited to visit. However after a 30 minute walk the place was shut. Would love to visit another day for sure!!!
Be the first to ReplyThank god my wife is a vegetarian
We eat a lot vegetarian food but this would have to be some of the tastiest food I’ve had. English was basically non existent but this added to the experience. The only complaint is we ordered to much food thinking the portions would be much smaller, just fantastic value. Can’t wait to go back. Enjoy
Be the first to ReplyClever menu Excellent chef Lovely service
As we walk-in lunch at 2noon almost closing kitchen time for mid-day shift,i was impressed with how both the floor staff and the kitchen worked together to get its quality made in short while. A senior lady organised our table and the dishes was served just about ten to fifteen minutes. All nine dishes were prepared to perfection. Everybody enjoyed the goodness and nothing gone wasted. It was a great pleasure to be at this place just at the right time. There are a plenty vegetarian restaurants in Georgetown and i must say the cuisine here will not bore a staunchly vegan but also very appetising for non vegetarian fellas. The ending came with great satisfaction unexpected reasonably cost for five of us. Sure to be my next vegetarian place again in Penang...someday.

Visited after seeing a positive review and was not disappointed! Best vegetarian food I’ve ever eaten! The service was great and the food was ready very quickly! Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

We visited this restaurant two of the three nights that we spent in Penang because it's that good! The lovely lady upstairs took great care of us and every dish we tried was brilliant. Lots of variety on the menu so there's something for everyone and reasonably priced - we paid 50 Ringitt (about £10) for 2 drinks and 3 dishes between two. Highly recommend the Khao Pao monkey head mushrooms.
Be the first to ReplyWish I had been with a large group so I could try more things!
I "discovered" this place the previous evening when I was dinning on the patio at What the Duck next door and kept seeing large groups of Chinese going in and thought to myself, "that place must have good Chinese food." Actually, it has AMAZING Chinese food. Unfortunately they were out of the satay but the waitress suggested the Spicy Fillet Tofu which was amazing and I also had the Brocolli and Monkey Head Mushrooms which were delightful and a small white rice, The sauce for the Tofu was perfect and texture excellent. Perhaps the only thing that wasn't perfect was the tea as it was a bit sweet for me, but otherwise I have to admit, I'm thinking of going back again for the satay. The place is very casual and friendly and the service was very quick and friendly. Although they say they are vegetarian, they had fish and pork on the menu, so while that's a bit confusing to me, it's not really issue for me as I'm not vegetarian, but it may be for some people who are.
Be the first to ReplyRebonding with old friends
On our second night in Penang we met up with old friends. Chia Kwang Chye (now retired politician) my ex sixth form mate (see chapter on sixth form / college ) took me out for tea. We recalled our days at English College Johor Baru and Kwang Chye brought me up to date with current politics in Penang. Later that night we met up with more old friends and were treated to a vegetarian dinner at Zen Xin Vegetarian restaurant ; this restaurant was located in a historical part of the island, in an area called Nagore Square. This was home to many beautifully preserved pre war shop houses which had all been converted to restaurants – thus the ambience was unique and cosy. The vegetarian fried rice and char siew and chicken tasted so real that we were alarmed – we were on a strict vegetarian diet as part of our religious obligations, and thus feared that we had broken our fast. Our hosts allayed our fears. The other vegetarian dishes also tasted very good. We yarned till closing time about our days at the University Hospital Kuala Lumpur, the state of medical education and current ethics of medical practise in the country.
Be the first to ReplyBest satay I have ever eaten!
I visited for two nights in a row since my food was so good! Would highly recommend their Kung pow monkey head mushrooms and their satay dishes. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced food. Air conditioning upstairs is much more comfortable.
