Exceptional
Just goes to show you don’t need Michelin stars or sommeliers to be an outstanding restaurant.
Walk in only lunch time. We sat at the counter.
Small menu of circa 10 items. Absolutely stunning in every way, quality, taste, visual, first class.
Wine reasonable price.
Will use this all the time.
Average
There were some great dishes and some not so great. The orange wine we had was great and the staff were welcoming enough, if not overly attentive. Ultimately I felt the dishes were over priced for what they were. The premise of the restaurant is sharing plates which doesn’t really work when the portions are so small

Superb food - set lunch at a great price - superbly presented and lovely ambience with great service (thanks Tom!) will definitely return - soon!

Stunning food, ambience and service. I could eat Flor’s food everyday!
I booked us one table upstairs, though next time I’d like to experience the ground floor vibes.
Overpriced food that underwhelms
Flor is somewhere that we’ve been wanting to try since before Covid, so we were very much looking forward to our visit. Sadly it fell far short of expectations. A shame as we were there to celebrate a birthday.
When we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes as our table was not ready, a disappointing start to the meal.
The food was nice but the menu needs a few more substantial plates to balance out the more delicate dishes, and not leave you hungry at the end of the meal! We tried to order more bread to bulk it all out, only to find out they’d run out! Already feeling as if we hadn’t had enough food, we were then told that they’d forgotten one of our dishes we ordered. With a 15 minute league time and having finished the rest of our savoury plates we decided it wasn’t worth the wait.
We then ordered our desserts and 5 minutes later the apologetic waitress came back to tell us they didn’t have enough portions left to fill our order!
They cobbled together the desserts they did have left, leaving us feeling rather underwhelmed and disappointed by the end of the meal (and still a little hungry!)
In summary, overpriced food that underwhelms. With so many great restaurants in London, the experience at Flor was not worth the price it demands.
A shame as we’d so much been looking forward to this for a long time!
Hair in my food, not quality recipes for hefty price tag
I've been waiting to connect to the general manager at Flor to discuss this but since they are not reaching out for a follow up after 2 attempts to find convenient time slots for a call, i am writing an honest review here.
The atmosphere of the place was nice and the place is not very loud, the ambience is great.
The staff are not super helpful - no one asks whether you need any help with the menu and there is a pretty strong arrogance vibe to the staff (at least upstairs).
We started by ordering cocktails - and immediately received wrong ones...followed by having to ask for our white wine to be put into a cooler - which was brought right as we had our cocktails and not with our meal as requested.
The food was mostly miss than hit (apart from a few really nice dishes like the bread and oysters), the majority of the food was too oily and the seasoning was too overpowering for the dishes we ordered.
The best part (or i should say the most disgusting for me), was *hair in one of our dishes*. The waiter just said sorry and took it away - no credit, nothing to make up for the hygiene issue. Just terrible experience, never again.
ASAP pizza, overpriced and not even good
Ordered a margarita in advance to take away. Turned out I paid £14 for a margarita with no mozzarella. How can you miss that? Especially when you don't even have marinara on your menu. And it doesn't seem to be just one-off as my friend had the same issue, which we realised far too late of course.
The dough wasn't amazing, just average, a lot of cheaper places do a better job.
I won't go again. Sorry!
Not worth it
Perhaps the ingredients are better quality than any other place to justify 16£ price tag for a pizza . I found pizza to be just above an average and not that special . Service is slow , and it’s not an ASAP pizza.

Been meaning to try Flor for a while so was happy to get a table at the new ASAP pizza. Took 10 mins to realise wasn’t table service, ordered at door but no menus to take to table so had to photograph something taped to the counter. Took about 30 mins for 2 pizzas & one was pretty burnt. Interesting toppings, but £15 for an average sized pizza is a joke esp after having been to Homeslice many times before!

This is about ASAP pizza that they do on Saturdays: really delicious pizza but they were extremely slow on Saturday, despite the fact they only sell two pizza flavours on Saturday we waited over 30 mins for our slices. Not very friendly staff and they refuse to sell whole pizza on Saturday afternoon, and only sell two varieties.
I was with 3 other friends and we all wanted 2 slices, one of each. The kitchen turned this into two whole pizzas, however rather than doing the right thing and charging us for two pizza they charged us the Saturday slice price meaning we paid £48 for two small pizzas.
In short: delicious but small pizza, extremely slow, and extremely expensive. I wouldn't return.
