Went to E Baldi Wednesday night for Valentine's Day.
We had a 6:15 reservation. The place was packed we had a nice table but very cramped. The waiter was very nice but they all seemed to be in a hurry to serve the food and get you out for the next table. We had very good food. The place is expensive but most annoying was we asked for balsamic vinegar and they charged us for it and it was in a tiny cup. Never been charge for vinegar before. Just a few weeks ago we had dinner at Georgio Baldi and it was nicer. Also I had called that it was my wife's birthday and they didn't even acknowledge it. At Georgio Baldi they made a nice desert for her. If we're going to spend that kind of money we would prefer to go to Georgio Baldi.

Used to love it here, but had a disappointing experience last night. I never write bad reviews, but let's talk about the meatballs... a $30 order of meatballs comes with 3 seemingly off the kids menu. Do they expect me to spend $60 on an appetizer just so everyone can have 1? Not cool. Make an order of meatballs 4. Please and thank you.

Talk about rip off artists!! It was 5 of us and we all wanted to do get pasta. I mean that's why you go to an Italian restaurant. But we were immediately shut down by the server saying that we can't order more than 3 pasta dishes because the kitchen is busy! The kitchen is busy? Do they not know how the restaurant business works? You know why they do that? It's to make you order beef, seafood or chicken dishes that are pricey. Another thing is that you'd have to order everything together. Another way of ripping you off because they don't want you to get full after appetizers and not order enough entree. The staff is very entitled and rude. I will not go back!

Stopped by E Baldi in Beverly Hills many times, but my most memorable visit was treating my Mom for her birthday in 2020, just before the world paused for COVID. That evening was special, and the food? It never misses. Every bite transports me straight to Italy. If you're an Italian food lover, trust me, this place is a must-visit. So many cherished memories wrapped up in the flavors of this gem. https://loanlightyears.com/

Very mixed feelings about this restaurant, which itself is an uncomfortable mix of classic Italian almost to the point of pretentiousness with some California fusion cuisine, and of upscale aspirations with casually dressed locals seated at tables a bit too close together. The positives: some of the food is truly delicious, and the wait staff were mostly polite and friendly. The hearts of palm "fettuccine" were a delight: not a pasta at all, but hearts of palm sliced into pasta-like ribbons and dressed in a light lemon sauce. The pasta dishes are very good, a bit small for a main course but good for a second course or for sharing. Negatives: some of these could be overlooked if not for the absurdly high prices ($28 for a starter salad; $41 for a hamachi crudo starter; $53 for seared salmon; very overpriced wine list, etc). Many of the portions were small. One member of our party had the smallest branzino we'd ever seen ($53); we joked that the other half of the fish was missing. The menu is an odd mix of very classic Italian with California fusion, or Italian-Asian and Italian-Mexican fusion. The Caesar salad is made with kale (I've had a lot of bad takes on Caesar salads recently so this was a sore point). Despite having yuzu in their fusion dishes, they have no limes because...limes aren't used in Italian food. They don't have a full liquor license, only wine and two Italian beers (and no non-alcoholic beers). Our drink orders, in fact, were met with a list of things they don't have. I'd be willing to buy this all as a purist rendition of classic Italian cuisine were it not for the very non-Italian shiitake, tomatillos, jalapeรฑos, and yuzu scattered about the menu. Also I felt rather overdressed in business casual. As others have noted, obvious locals were hanging out in T-shirts, whereas the prices, the uniformed wait staff, and the decor would all suggest a bit more formality. I'm not sure exactly what this restaurant's market is. I could get better Italian food for half the price in Westwood or WeHo. I could get better contemporary fusion cuisine all over, and with a full bar. Several reviews complain about parking. There is an inexpensive parking garage one block up on Canon.
Be the first to ReplyI love this restaurant.
Everything is amazing the food and service is superior. The chef is exceptional with one of the best menus I entrees I have ever tasted. Highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyThe portions are small, but the food is really good.
We usually come here for the fish and truffles with pasta. The service is on par and the staff are attentive. It is on the pricey end being in BH.

We are a big fan of georgio Baldi in Santa Monica so naturally we want to try this place. Middle of Beverly Hills , good for people watching. Menu slightly different than GB. We had dorade risotto which was surprisingly good and butter nut squash ravioli was definitely reminds of GB. I had octopus Camacho, portion is pretty big, recommend sharing. I had clam linguine which had a lot of clam and it was nice because they are out of shells. Pasta cooked Al Dante, just perfect and taste was simple but memorable. My BF had branzino which was out of this world. Highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite places! Some of these reviews are wild. I brought my family here and they loved it as well. "My favorite childhood memory" is my go-to dish. The service is always spectacular and I always look forward to my next visit.
Be the first to ReplySimple Italian food.
Way over priced. I had great expectation and was disappointed. Food was not seasoned. no ambience.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a company dinner in private room.
Food was delicious, but portions are so tiny, it wasn't enough. Deep fried mushrooms are the best

A really delicious dinner, although not as good as the original location in northwest Santa Monica near the PCH. That location being Giorgio Baldi. This is the Beverly Hills and smaller location. Tonight was a very tasty dinner, although for the price I would recommend going to their original location in Santa Monica. Tonight I started with the Beef Carpaccio, which was very good, although not as good as the other location. For my entrรฉe, I chose the Veal Tortellini in Veal Broth, and it was actually very good, albeit a small portion. The Positives: the food quality and the taste are top-notch. They also have a lot of great options on the menu and our server, as well as rest of the staff we encountered, we're all very polite. I also really like the atmosphere of this place, it's classy and casual at the same time. The Negatives: it is overly pricey, I am sure due to the cost of the rent being in this part of Beverly Hills. Each of the dishes could definitely be less expensive, also the portion sizes are not very large. The Beef Carpaccio @ Giorgio Baldi is one of the best I have ever had, but this version at e Baldi wasn't nearly as delicious. The restaurant is also very small on the inside, so the tables are very close together. Conversations between tables easily overlap and moving around in the restaurant feels kind of like you're inside an airplane. Also, there is a 10% service charge on top of all bills due to it being located in Beverly Hills, which is definitely a negative. Finally parking in this area is not the easiest. We were able to find metered parking a block away, but if that's not possible your options will be valet parking for $12 or a paid lot close by.Overall a nice dinner, but I would recommend going to their original location instead.
Be the first to ReplyPretty tasty food and wine, service was a bit slow.
I wouldn't go back if I was paying for the dinner lol
Be the first to ReplyHigh priced food, average taste.
Upside is the staff is friendly, the location is right in the action of the city. Sit on the patio to see and be seen.
Be the first to ReplyWas a very enjoyable dinner.
Place was so crowded and it is small. Food was terrific. Even the bread was terrific. We had salmon, barramundi and lamb chops. Spinach and potatoes with the meals. We all split the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla and chocolate ice cream; delicious. Would definitely go back. About a $100 a person.

I was invited to dinner at E Baldi but I'm disappointed again. Nothing we ordered taste good. My friends felt the same. Unfortunate! You hear good things about it but not true. They do need to work on the taste of the dishes!

Be the first to ReplyJust ate here with a large party of 9 people.
Was super disappointed with the experience for me and my sisters birthday dinner. We were told mid order that were only allowed to order 3 pasta dishes max for the table! He then increased it to 4 pasta dishes because the chef doesn't like more than that at a time because it's too much at the same time. Quote "you'll understand more when the dishes come"(bs). At an Italian restaurant.....Make this make sense. This was after the waiter was being very pushy for us to order double of several appetizers after we ordered about 7 separate things (clearly to increase/push the total bill price up). It was such a turn off that we were essentially forced to order meat dishes and other dishes that not only we didn't necessarily want, but we're obviously more expensive (which doesn't matter, but it's the principal of being a SUPER shady way to upsell) and force our hand. How can you force a table of 9 to order a max of 3 pasta dishes at an Italian restaurant??? And when we said we wanted 2 additional risottos, he said you can't do that because it's in the pasta section. You literally just add more rice. It's not that hard, unless you're trying to force us to order more expensive items that we don't even want. Will never come back despite the decent food
Be the first to ReplyBeware this Tourist trap.
Fancy prices. Ordinary ambiance. Less than average food quality. Skimpy orders. Had pasta with langostinos. Received a plate of overcooked pasta and one very little langostino cut in half. Hardly 2 bites. The main courses were brought to our table literally as the first course dishes were being cleared from the table. Bread put on table with no olive oil and no butter. We asked for oil and balsamic- and we were charged $5 for a thimbleful of balsamic. Very ordinary food. Not an enjoyable dining experience. Avoid at all costs.

Service is great! Armando was our server! Very attentive and we will definitely be returning! The Ceasar salad and spinach were delicious:)
Be the first to ReplyThis is such a wonderful place to dine with your loved ones.
Highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyWent to meet some friends here after the beach.
Unfortunately I was not offered a glass of water upon arrival. That's probably like rule number one going to a nice restaurant. I can't comment on the food because I was not brought a menu either. While I watched my friends enjoy wine I waited for us to move onto the next spot. Didn't get a great vibe from the waiting staff at all. Looks like a great date spot to impress someone that doesn't really like you. Wouldn't recommend.
Be the first to ReplyOverall E Baldi was a great experience.
There was a number of gluten free options available on the main menu, all pasta could be gluten free. Only downside to this place is they don't have any drinks other than wine.
