Duzan Queens Reviews from The Last Year
Came here on a Saturday evening for a casual dinner.
Ordered two sandwiches, one chicken shawarma and one kofta, a large fries, babaghanouj, and arayes (pita bread with minced meat made to order) with harissa and Duzan sauce on the side. After being told 20 minutes, the food came out nearly 45 minutes later. The host was very friendly and apologetic and brought us a bottle of water on the house. Let's go through the items: Chicken shawarma sandwich on pita- fresh hot and made how I like it, this always hits and is loaded with meat. Kofta sandwich on pita- less meat than the chicken and this arrived cold. Will not be ordering this again. Babaghanouj with pita- super yummy generous portion and fresh. Fries- fresh, hot and salted perfectly. Arayes- crispy exterior, juicy interior served with pickles and tahini. First time having this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall this meal was 4 stars but due to the long wait, customers who ordered after us got their food first, and the cold sandwich which is not typical of them at all, I had to knock it down to a 3. This place gets super busy on the weekends so I can understand the wait time, but no one wants to eat a cold sandwich when it should be hot and fresh as was the rest of my order. We will definitely be back, this place is worth the trek.

So amazing!!! Absolutely delicious food!!! Best pita
So amazing!!! Absolutely delicious food!!! Best pita sandwich I've ever had! The food is so warm and cozy! Always my go to on a cloudy day! The service is always quick and polite! I would recommend this place to anyone as there are so many options! You won't regret trying Duzans in NYC
I came here for a late lunch with two of my friends.
We split the vegetarian platter, which included falafel, hummus, baba ganoush, fried eggplant, salad, cabbage, pickles, garlic pita, and a choice of fries, rice, or couscous (we opted for fries). We also split the fattush. Our total came to about $30 and we had leftovers! Service and ambiance is very straightforward- no frills. The food is excellent, though.
This is a good take out restaurant.
They do have a dining room but self serve and pretty basic! Chicken shawarma's pita with tahini soused is excellent, tasty and they're pretty quick for giving the busyness!

Overrated place, bland chicken, no flavor and over cooked, most basic food like Humus was not even good, Humus had no flavor tasted like the processed humus you get from grocery stores. Adding tons of oil don't make it any better and oil was not a good Olive oil either. You should try Sufia Grill or Anatolia Humus and you will forget about this badly made food.
I love Duzan so much.
It has truly become one of my favorite spots to visit whenever in Queens. The food is flavorful, fresh, plentiful, and delicious! As many have mentioned, what keeps us coming back is the consistency. I typically get the chicken shawarma plate with hummus, salad, plus fries (3rd side is extra) and I have yet to be disappointed. The falafel is crispy good, the pita is fluffy and soft, and the Duzan sauce is a must. There's almost always a line but they work pretty quick. If you are in a rush however, I would order ahead online or for pick up. If you're dining in, they have been doing construction to expand for a while. I'm looking forward to when the location comes all together. Whether you live in the area or are just dropping quickly by the neighborhood, I definitely recommend paying them a visit!

Food was great, the wait time was long due to it being the month of Ramadan. Lamb and beef platter is more flavorful than the chicken platter.

I've had it before but I've really been in the mood for Shawarma recently and a previous place I went to has gone down in quality. Duzan, however, definitely was an improvement! While the meat was a bit dry and needed the sauce, the flavor was solid. The portions are great though and overall a decent choice for shawarma/falafel!
This is one of my favorite spots to order lunch from.
I usually get either the grilled chicken kabab bowl or chicken kabab pita. The chicken is so flavorful and juicy. The rice and the pita are fluffy and delightful. Great portions and incredible food! Perfect meal to satisfy my dream cravings!
Extremely poor
I was totally disappointed. I had eaten here many times before the pandemic and it was always excellent. I ordered a simple falafel. It came very rapidly which at first pleased me. Then I found it was cold, so clearly the falafel was pre-prepared and just waiting for someone to order. The falafel was soft and not very tasty. The salad was not the nice salad that they used to put in the pita. The newly renovated place was a total disappointment. Raw sheet rock walls, and unfinished industrial floor. Simply wood picnic tables. I do not know if they have plans to fix it up further, but as it is now it is not inviting,
Simply the Best!!!!
I kept seeing Duzan on YouTube and told my wife we have to check this place out. We finally went on a Saturday afternoon and it did not disappoint. The food is so outrageously good. The best chicken shawarma in the world. The Humus is homemade and the best you will ever taste. Go to Duzan now.
Not what it used to be.
Really a shame . Used to be one my favorite places ever. Not anymore. From open kitchen they became a hole in the wall and the food wasn’t as hot by the time we got it.
40 mnts waiting for simple platters, where is management?
Order during lunch at 12h45, Getting my food at 1h23Pm Almost 40 mnts to get simple platters is not excusable . Zero communication to tell customers that you need half day off to get this platter. Uber or online order get top priority , Feel like walkin customers getting free food. Total disrespect to the customer's time. Online orders business are like they paying 10 times while everyone knows that walkin customers are as important if not more . By the time you get your food your appetite is gone and your blood pressure is to the roof. Your taste is gone as well for the food. Disgrace to certain walkin customers

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
