Dizzy's Club New York Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent show
Excellent show tonight from the MSM We were booked to see a tribute to Wayne Shorter but program changed Not an issue as to see such talented students blows your mind away
Been here 4 times and always a new experience.
Love this place. One of my fave spots. Service is good food is good music is good. Evething is good
Judy Carmichael Quartet played last night.
A very talented grammy nominated stride/ swing pianist, & writer. She's been given airtime on the jazz radio station 89.9 i believe 5 days a week a 2 hour slot congrat's to her! This is not my style of jazz but I always enjoy myself at dizzy's. Service is always great & the ambiance is probably the best in the city.

I came on a Saturday night, my friend made a reservation for me and our two friends, we had an amazing time. The food was great, we had the burger, gumbo, and trout and everything was delicious. I asked my server for a beer recommendation and the lager she recommended was amazing. I believe her name was sky. Would 100% come again!
Very good jazz club close to Time Square
Jazz club to recommend to enjoy a very good concert and at the same time a very good quality dinner (the European on vacation will however be surprised by the bill, roughly twice as high as at home, but this is the case for all non-junk food restaurants in NYC)

Had an excellent time attending the Sunday night show to see the Reunion Trio feat. Bruce Forman, John Clayton & Jeff Hamilton for my girlfriend's birthday. For food, I ordered Dizzy's Gumbo. It was satisfying, especially for a blustery winter evening in NYC. The drinks were strong and intoxicating, perfect slice slipping into the swinging rhythm of the band. Service was attentive. The ambience was great for those who love jazz music, and good vibes. I will definitely be returning to Dizzy's Club for another night out.
Normally excellent quality.
Have been going to Dizzy's since it opened and have not been disappointed until now. It seems an amateur group was allowed the stage. I have always depended on their world class curation if artists. Food was also not up to expectations and had to send back a cosmo as it was bitter...weird. Perhaps not a good night for Dizzy's and sincerely hope it is a fluke. In any case if it is amateur night, it should be indicated and priced differently. So disappointing!

Amazing vibes, venue, and music! I got the burger which was quite good, along with the fries. In terms of the venue, it's definitely now my favorite place to listen to jazz.
What an amazing performance on Christmas Eve.
Christian Sands Quartet was absolutely incredible! I loved our server. He was quick and attentive with the food and drinks. You can tell he really knows his stuff. The drinks were great and strong. The food was definitely a miss though. They claim to be New Orleans themed but it does not seem like it. I would skip on the food and just do the drinks next time. Other than that it was great!
We had an okay experience, but I believe we were
We had an okay experience, but I believe we were overcharged slightly, and I emailed to ask about it, but have not heard back from the establishment, so I guess they do not care. Also, it seems to be standard in the industry, but what I don't understand is why the recommended tipping percentage is always on the entire bill, including the tickets. Our tip was probably about $65 even though the food bill should have only been about $130. At Dizzy's it is even more difficult to remove the ticket portion from the tipping percentage, because they don't even show you an itemized bill. The waiter just brings a screen with the total, and puts you on the spot to choose a tipping percent on the total. Even worse when the total includes an overcharge.
Tried to buy a table for new years Eve show, went there in
Tried to buy a table for new years Eve show, went there in person but they didn't want to sell the ticket. We are been forced to buy on their site to pay extra $7 per person. Very disappointed. I always get me tickets there and in person. I will never go back there. I do not understand why. Just ridiculous. Another complaint: they announces prices for a table but when we going to buy they say that the price is by person. Why they don't describe this on the add?
Awful Jazz Club.
This is the worst of all the New York jazz clubs. Steer clear. They will switch acts on you and lie to your face about it. The manager is a horrible human and should not be allowed to interact with customers. Overpriced. Short sets. Rude employees. Nothing positive.
Everything you could ever ask for at a Jazz Club
We had the most amazing time at Dizzy's club. The headliner was Wycliffe Gordon and Friends. The food was amazingly good and the service was attentive. The location is fabulous with a great view of Central Park and the skycrapers. It was everything we had ever hoped for in a NYC jazz venue.
Fantastic club for jazz lovers.
Fantastic jazz club. We had a great time seeing a tribute to Art Blakey. The venue and the building where it is at are gorgeous and elegant. The club has a incredible view over Manhattan. We ordered food and drinks and everything was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to come back.
Excellent Jazz Club!
Decided on Dizzy's for some live music, and got to experience a great big band, in comfortable seats and front row. Get there early to stand in line as seating is first come, first serve. Acoustics were great and drinks were good too.
Jazz at its best! New York City! A night at Dizzy's Club
Jazz at its best! New York City! A night at Dizzy's Club to see Helen Sung's Big Band play a tribute to Horace Silver on his birthday. Enjoyed a charcuterie board and some Prosecco as the jazz ensemble played to the delight of all in attendance. In addition, the club is located on Columbus Circle with a gorgeous view of Central Park and the afternoon skyline. Being a huge Jazz fan, this evening was a great alternative to the atmosphere of the U.S. Open, and having access to a music genre that isn't available on a grand scale in Southern California Great date place!
A very fine evening indeed!
We went for the 5pm show on Sunday night and got there a half hour before to see a lineup of at least 20 people ahead of us. So if you want to get a good seat get there early. The jazz musicians are just great and we had a fun evening. Service was attentive, the food is basic fare, drinks are good and the view overlooking NYC is panoramic. Good value all around, we will surely go back next time we’re in town.
A highlight of our NYC trip
We went to see Jon Faddis with our two children. What a fantastic experience. We were shown to a lovely table, had a very nice meal, the service was friendly and efficient. And the jazz was amazing - set against the backdrop of the sun setting on New York. Brilliant!
Wonderful Night Out
Very relaxing evening. The band was spectacular as was the setting. Great view out onto the city over Columbus Circle. The food was fine - the drinks great.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
