De La Nonna Los Angeles Reviews from The Last Year
Love De La Nonna so much!!!! Best pizza in all of LA and
Love De La Nonna so much!!!! Best pizza in all of LA and such a cool vibe. Their drinks are fantastic - so are their appetizers and salads!! I just had the best birthday party ever here - they are so accommodating and all my friends had a blast. The preset party menu is excellent - best bday dinner spot in all of LA especially because it's right next to Let's Go Disco!
Went here for my 27th birthday, it was ok.
Definitely had better pizza. The host was super nice, but the service was bland and it didn't seem like they cared for us. We were a group of minorities and it felt like we were the back burner for them. Another table was sang happy birthday to, whereas they just dropped a small dessert and a candle and didn't say anything and left it. It felt uncomfy. The dessert was recommended but it was horrible. We had the beignets looking dessert with the sauce and the sauce is what made it so bleh! My favorite here was the bread and the salad and that was probably it. Would I come back here? No probably not. This is totally my opinion tho!

De La Nonna never disappoints! The pizza here is absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and generous toppings. Whether you're a fan of classic margherita or adventurous with toppings, they have something for everyone. And let's not forget about their drinks - refreshing and well-crafted, they perfectly complement the pizza experience. The cozy atmosphere adds to the overall charm of this place. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal!
I had such an amazing time at De La Nonna.
The pepperoni pizza was fantastic especially with the hot honey. The place is super cute too. Loved the vibe. And the service was great from the moment we walked in.
Pizza is 5 star.
Service is a tad slow, but the pizza makes up for it. The bottom of the crust is so crunchy and buttery. Chef's kiss.

Excellent pizza with a variety of different options, with my favorite one being the mushroom. Good pizza seems tough to come by in LA but this one hit the spot. Moody lights inside, with counter service makes it easy to order while enjoying the ambiance. Stop by the bar next door and grab yourself a cocktail.
The restaurant is super cute.
But, the service is horrible. It was our first time there. We reviewed the menu approached the window asked for 2 pizzas , 2 drinks. The cashier decided to comment that the pizzas were not that big. So we decided to switch our order to 3 pizzas and 2 drinks. He read the order to us about 3 times. We agreed and payed. 2 of the 3 pizzas arrive. I ate one , and the other sat there for about 15 minutes getting cold since it was too much for me. Meanwhile we waited for the 3rd pizza. After 20 minutes of waiting I decide to ask. Turns out the 3rd pizza was never placed. Although the cashier read our order to us about 3 times. The 2nd pizza which was actually ordered but I didn't eat since they were actually huge was cold and soggy by the time they noticed the 3rd one was never ordered. They offered to place an order for 3rd pizza. By then I had finished my pizza, the 2nd one which could have actually just been eaten by my partner since it was too big for me was cold and soggy. We decided to just get up and leave. It was just an overall unpleasant experience to deal with. We decided to drive a few miles down to bottega Louie where we actually got a huge pizza for 30 dollars and the service was great.
Great location if you do not have young toddlers.
If you're going with friends and for a date I would recommend. Food is tasty (especially the salads) and it's a nice ambiance. However, I was so upset and disappointed tonight after dining with a friend and my 14 month old. While eating I felt we were constantly monitored to wrap up our meal. My friend was not finished eating and a wait staff asked if we wanted a box for our food. We were not finished eating and we still had half of our wine glass filled. Not once did we get a refill of water, but yet the women around our table couldn't wait until we finished. I know it's a bit noisier with a toddler, but I would assume that sitting us at the furthest table near the restroom would be enough, but no it's not as kid-friendly as I would have hoped.

Came on a Saturday around 4:30, seated right away and the pizza tasted great. Ambiance was great. Service was good.

Came to this spot last night to eat before going to a bar with a friend. Located in Little Tokyo, a 4 minute walking distance from Angel City Brewery. The space is quite large, plenty of patio seating. The ambiance was nice, very bright with a lot plant and flower decor, which I loved. Service was quick and friendly. The vibe of the people who come here and the workers is very much hipster. We ordered the mushroom pizza which was very, very good. It had some dill sprinkled on top which gave the pizza a unique taste. Drinks are ok. Very sweet. Overall, I think I would come back again to try more of their pizza's.

Not just the best pizza in LA, but they have outstanding specials and the desserts are amazing. There is an eggplant sandwich that I'm still trying to figure out how it was so good!!! Each bite was so delicious. You can the food is made with LOVE. Also, there is a feeling of family when you walk in here. Love this place
I loved
Everything was great. From the friendliness of the staff, to the wonderful lasagna, to the passion fruit sour and the very beautiful and welcoming space.

Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and this place is near Little Tokyo. Ambiance was nice. Staff was alright but docking 2 stars for the 20% gratituity surcharge even though we ordered ourselves at the counter. All they did was bring the food out. We did have a big group but we could have easily figured out the seating ourselves. So the fried eggplant sandwich easily came close to $20 after the fee and taxes. To be fair, the sandwich was big and tasty at $13. Very savory with the slight kick of the spicy aioli sauce. But not worth it after it became $17 after their surcharge. The food also came out really slow, more than 15 minutes when I was one of the first to order.
Everything here was delicious! The vibes were great.

First time dining here and was a little confused on how ordering works, because it's not your typical restaurant where you sit down and someone comes to take your order. You actually get seated first, but to order, you go up to the cashier at the counter where you place and pay for your order. But they will bring the food to your table afterwards. The table we got seated at was pretty small. Luckily, everything we ordered did not come out at the same time or else we wouldn't have had enough room for all the plates. We also felt rushed to quickly clear a plate when another dish came out to make room. We ordered: Whipped eggplant (3/5) - originally was not going to order this but saw every table had this so decided to try it out. I actually was not a fan of this because it tasted kind of flavorless. Also the amount of focaccia they gave was so little compared to the amount of dip we got. Bluefin tuna tartare (3/5) - also was not a fan of this dish. It didn't really taste fresh. Caesar salad (4/5) - tasted a little bit too sour. The portion is huge though and definitely sharable. Market pizza (5/5) - forgot what the special was that we ordered because tbh I couldn't really hear the cashier but this pizza was really good! It was well flavored and they did not skimp on the toppings. Probably would not come back because this place is pretty pricey for what they serve.

When you're charging above average prices and asking for
When you're charging above average prices and asking for 20% or more tip up front, you should be delivering above average food with above average service. When that doesn't happen, customers have no recourse but to come to these review pages and express their dissatisfaction. You have a nice spot with great outdoor seating but everything else was so disappointing.

Cute spot in the Arts District! I came out here on a Wednesday evening to celebrate my friend's birthday. We made a reservation for a big party on the outside patio. Thankfully the outdoor patio has heated lamps at the tables. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive. We were able to store our outside cake at the restaurant (for a fee). I tried their margarita drink to start and our group ordered a deal that gets pizza plus a wine bottle to share. For the pizzas, I tried the margarita and pepperoni (really tasty but kind of small slices to share). Overall, great experience and atmosphere.
Delicious focaccia pizza.
I love the flavor varieties. Make sure to check out their special pizza flavor for the day. My favorite is the white pizza and add sausage! Super yum. Salads are absolutely delicious too. Have had the Caesar and the beet salad. the vibes are immaculate. This is a great place to go on a date night or a girls night. Been here many times and never been disappointed!

Some things on their menu are fairly priced, but other things make this a very expensive restaurant to eat. We ordered two pizza's and a salad. The margarita pizza was good, but the pepperoni pizza was awful. I don't know if it was the pepperoni, the cheese they used, or both but I couldn't eat it. We ordered the caesar salad and it was good, but the lettuce they used and the dressing were very different from any caesar salad I've ever had before. I wish they would have stated in the menu that this was their version of a caesar so that I could have asked what that meant. We got martini's with Tito's and they charged $20 for each one which is ridiculous. I've never paid more than $16 for a tito's martini and it's usually much less than even that. Their valet cost us $19 plus tip. Again, I've never paid that much for valet. Then to top it off, they charged us a "benefits surcharge." This extra charge was not listed on the menu, they just added it at the end without any warning. In my opinion that is taking advantage of customers. I expect the price I see on the menu to be the cost of each item, but it's not, they add a surcharge making the cost more than shown in the menu, and so we won't be back. I won't give business to any restaurant that does this. All expenses should be represented in the price of each item, not added later with a surprise surcharge. Bottom line, this is a VERY expensive place to park and eat for just ok food.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
