Crush Room London Reviews from The Last Year
Opera visit
We came here Saturday night to eat just before our visit to see La Boheme. The restaurant is beautiful and staff were very pleasant. The food was very good. We ate the starter and main course before the performance and then returned in the interval for pudding and coffees,I also had a negroni which was delicious. I would definitely return
Disappointing and over priced meal it ruined our experiance
We were eagerly anticipating eating in the restaurant prior to the opera.Initial impressions were good lovely restaurant nice atmosphere and very pleasant servers. The starter of Goats chees and beetroot was presented in a very arty way but tastewise I have eaten better. The pastry on the Beef Wellington very soggy we did mention this to the server however we were assured this was how it was served but I have never eaten it like this the best course was dessert but you can't go wrong with cheese can you..We asked for the bill and thats where it became very distasteful the discressionary service charge which really should be pointed out to the customer as its not legally binding and it wasn't and along with a tip its a way of getting more money out of the customer we asked for it to be removed which they did but the atmosphere became very cool and it didn't help that the coffee they served was cold and I asked for another one.By this time I just wanted to leave the whole experiance was ruined it was an expensive meal but really not worth it.We will never eat their again.
Smooth and efficient restaurant
We both enjoyed our food here and the staff were very polite. We had to order in advance and so the food arrived very quickly. During each interval our next course or drink was waiting on the table for us. It is clearly well rehearsed and runs like clockwork. I guess the downsides for me were the cost of the food and also each interval was taken up in the Crush Room which didn't allow any time for a comfort break if that was needed. The decor is very fitting with the Royal Opera House - opulent and grand.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
