Great Hotel with awesome staff
The Staff is the almost the best I have met. The hotel is very pleasant; great for work. The HK staff especially Roxana are amazing, and very caring. The Front desk; Nubia, Robert, David, Noah, everybody was friendly, professional and hospitable! The room view was splendid and everything you needed was there.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful hotel and amazing staff
We just returned from the Conrad Los Angeles after a 7 night stay. Here are my thoughts: Rooms are beautiful and spotless and well appointed. Over the course of the week we shifted from a standard room to a suite and the views were stunning in both rooms. Location is great (near USC which is why we stayed there). Staff is unbelievably kind and helpful and they really do their best to help with any and all requests. Restaurant is great for breakfast (we booked through Amex FHR). Prices are quite high though so beware ($10 for half an avocado is absurd but I ordered it anyway). Areas to improve: -The lighting system is very confusing and even my techie husband found it challenging. -Parking is ridiculously expensive ($60 or so per night) and is valet only, which isn't convenient. -Restaurant breakfast would be even better with a few healthier options. Overall this was one of my favorite hotel stays and we'll return for sure.
Be the first to ReplyThe best of the best!
Absolutely the very best! We travel worldwide, and we can objectively say that there isnโt a better hotel or hotel staff anywhere. The architecture thanks to Frank Gehry, the interior design thanks to Tara Bernerd, the food thanks to Josรฉ Andrรฉs and his most excellent on-site staff, and last but certainly not least, the most wonderful hotel staff. Everyone that had or has a hand in this hotel truly makes the Conrad Los Angeles so, so very special. There are entirely too many people to thank for making our stay so memorable, but we want to try, at the risk of forgetting a name or two, to mention those that touched us during our stay. Jei, the concierge extraordinaire, you are one of the best! Antrell, Makayla and Adam at the front desk, thank you very much for the lovely room. Kevin and Betty at San Laurel, you helped make our dinner so very special. Brandon, the rooms manager, your housekeeping staff kept our room perfect all the time. Our wonderful servers, Brett in the Beaudry Room, Johnny in San Laurel and of course, David, in Aqua Viva, - exceptional. We were made to feel special with every interaction we had with this amazing staff, including Savannah in catering. Thank you! We canโt wait to return. And we most certainly will, over and over again.
Be the first to ReplyTop class hotel in LA
We have been blown away by Conrad Los Angeles. Our taxi pulled up to this boutique hotel and it definitely had the wow factor. The service from when we stepped out of the car was top class. We travel all over the world in many Hilton and Conrad hotels and this is right up there with the best. Our welcome at reception was magnificent. Diana and Misty are so lovely and made us feel so welcome. Ruth stood out like a shining star. She was truly exceptional and I hope she is recognised for her outstanding service. Every step of the way she was on hand with anything we needed. Walter from in room dining thank you for looking after us. Oliver from concierge. What a fantastic guy. Really attentive and gave us loads of useful information. Ken from cincoro tequila and Andrea from San laurel made our time in the restaurants very pleasant. We had food here nearly everyday as it really is top quality. We were lucky enough to try the spa and Devin was also so nice and helpful. The location is brilliant to get around. Univeral studios is close by as well as many other attractions. The architecture and interior design of this hotel is breathtaking. We really do not want to leave. The team here at Conrad Bali are exceptionally helpful and nice. Thank you so much for looking after my family so well and making our stay so special. We really appreciate everything. Until the next time.

We had a wonderful experience starting at check in, the service was fast and very friendly. The rooms were spacious, updated and very clean. We loved the special lighting and controls as well as the shower system, everything was high quality. The best part was the bed and pillows which were so comfortable. The outdoor dining on the patio was great as well. Overall this was a 5 star experience!

Five stars. The vibe, hotel accommodations with five star customer service and amenities. Exceeds all expectations in every possible wayโฆ views, cleanliness, contemporary, chic, fun, spaciousness, lights, curtains, hot water, electric kettle, sofa, bedding. Best possible hotel in the area and still affordable. We are a couple from Puerto Rico celebrating our 10th anniversary and arriving at Conrad at 11pm on March 15th- March 18th. Got to San Francisco on March 14th at 11pm after two long flights and then rented a car to drive ourselves to Los Angeles. We were overtired but happy to have made it to this beautiful gem per our reservation via third party (ticketsatwork). Daniel called us up for checkin and the biggest surprise comes upโฆ our reservation was not showing. We kept it together since Daniel kept calm treating us with so very much gentleness while oue information was nowhere to be found. He even called the third party in our behalf like the good old customer service used to be and to our big surpriseโฆ even after a third party confirmation number was provided there was NO hotel confirmed reservation. At that point I just felt we were lost since didnt have anywhere else to go and the amount of money for hotel stay last minute could be out of control. But of course not, all went smoothly and we were quickly accommodated at a fair rate because Daniel took the greatest care of me and my husband. Conrad Hilton I would recommend to make this man the face of your customer service because he will rise to any ocasion in the best of ways. The Conrad Hilton experience has made our anniversary trip unforgettable for good. To learn and be part of such an outstanding customer service is truly magical. Thank you thank you thank you Daniel!!! Forever grateful to you and to all the wonderful people working at the Conrad Los Angeles. We had a blast and felt the most pampered with actual good humans than we had ever been. So excited to go back in the coming soon rather than later future. Make sure you dont miss out on THE experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe wanted to stay a few more days.
The Conrad Hotel has an excellent location, surrounded by cultural activities. However, besides its high-quality standards, the most extraordinary thing about this hotel is that its staff is always ready to help and make you feel appreciated. We understand it's not for everyone, but if you can afford it, this is the ideal place to stay in Los Angeles.
Be the first to ReplyI look forward to my return to this great hotel.
Perfect from start to finish! thank you. If you are going to LA and are thinking about the Waldorf Astoria - think again and book in at the Conrad which beats the WA at every beat. Firstly, we arranged a transfer from LAX through the Conrad - the driver was great, there to meet us and very helpful (unlike the experience I had through the WA). Check in was easy, the rooms were (as requested) near each other and are lovely comfortable and spacious rooms. After a long flight, we ate in the bar, the food and the service was excellent. Every colleague at the hotel was authentic and friendly and the vibe is relaxed and professional. As we left, Olivia was wonderful in helping us, and Pablo, super kind and helpful. Lovely experience - thank you

Outstanding! This hotel was welcoming and staff was the best I have experienced. Antrell, David, Robert, Ana and Paulo served us well. It was my husbands birthday and they greeted us at every corner with Birthday wishes. The room was beautiful and there was not a detail missed from live plants to motion lights under bed. The views were spectacular and we greatly enjoyed the linens and housekeepers were attentive. Fresh baked cookies and robes were perfection. Every detail of bars and gardens are thoughtfully curated. We will stay again soon! The pool was closed the first day which would normally have affected the trip but the service and luxurious room outweighed any complaints!. We are very happy with hotel.
Be the first to ReplyPerhaps you should consider booking a different hotel.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Although it is located downtown and is impeccably clean, the lack of good service and privacy infringement make me stand by my statement. On our first night at the hotel, we noticed a flashing blue light in the corner of the window. We got up to investigate, and it appeared to be some sort of device, but we were unsure and tired from jet lag. We covered the space up with the curtain and went to sleep. The next morning when we returned from breakfast, the device and blue light were no longer there (I did take pictures of it). We ran out of towels and requested a few different items that took three calls and over an hour to receive. As someone else mentioned, the staff is not inviting at all and only seem to care for members of an elite social class. I made several complaints and shared my concerns with management, only to be lied to about this โdeviceโ. At $400 a night, I expected more. I'll stop here because I plan on pursuing this further. In short, stay here only if you like lackluster customer service and don't value your privacy.

Every single associate was extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic every morning and Maximino was one who made you want to come back and sit in his area. We had a suite courtesy of the Am Ex Platinum upgrade and an extra $100 to spend as we wished

Had an outstanding stay at the Conrad. Staff was uniformly polite, professional and made me feel welcome. Hotel is very new with a contemporary interior. Excellent location for Broad, MOCA and the Ahmanson/Disney Concert Hall.
Be the first to ReplyA new hotel that has plenty of potential, but falls short.
PROS: Good vibe, very Miami, lovely design throughout. I had a beautiful view of Walt Disney Concert Hall. Shout out to Matt at the front desk who knows how to deal with clients and Charlie in valet, who had a smile and was very helpful with my car. Beyredo bathroom products are a nice touch. CONS: In my 2 day stay I NEVER received housekeeping service. No turn down service (I was told at check out itโs because I stayed 1 night. What??) The next day, I left my room at 9am, put on the โmake up roomโ sign, came back to the room at 2:30 and found that the room had NOT been made up and my breakfast tray, from 7am, was still there. Reminder, I still havenโt had housekeeping service in 24 hrs, so towels are now building up in the bathroom, Iโm wiping down surfacesโฆ Speaking of In Room Dining, options are limited, menu is small and tray service is inconsistent. Dinner had flowers, salt & pepper, NO water glass nor was asked if I wanted a drink. Breakfast came with no flower, no salt and pepper, no water glass, I was never asked if I wanted coffee either. I compare it to a jail cell tray food delivery, sparseโฆfor $95 (fruit, bread basket, avocado half) . Will I return? Probably not.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing addition to Los Angeles
Had an wonderful stay at the Conrad itโs opening weekend. Greeted warmly at valet by Manny and a very helpful team (wearing sharp suits in my favorite shade of green). Front desk recognized my Hilton honors status and were very informative about the property. The design is gorgeous and very well thought out, love all of the decor and plants. Itโs an oasis in the city. The view of the Disney concert hall and location across from the Broad was perfect. Excellent service at the pool from Tiffany and Jade. Had a stunning cruditรฉ plate and Spanish charcuterie board. We enjoyed San Laurel for breakfast and dinner; the iberico jamon, duck breast and โMac n cheeseโ are a must! At breakfast the tortilla el Camino was great but suggest serving with Turkish toast or an artisan bread to fully enjoy the labneh and yolk sauce. Agua viva has a resort feel and playful cocktails. Restaurant managers Betty and savannah were a delight and remembered our names each time we crossed paths. Canโt wait to return!
Be the first to Replyclassy + calm + design-forward = excellent.
have almost all fantastic things to report on this brand-spanking-new conrad in DTLA. let's start with with the most fantastic, and work our way down to the few things that were less than A+...... DESIGN AND OVERALL FEEL: --this is simply a gorgeous hotel. from the outside and (especially) the inside. every last aspect of tara bernerd's design is stunning, a masterclass in sleekness, beauty and functionality. can't say enough about how warm everything feels, and this during l.a.'s most severe rain/wind in years (mid feb 2023). from the multiple bars (classy beauts, all three) to the pool to the spa. every last hallway and piece of furniture is done and placed with an extremely tasteful eye, and the result is contemporary luxe. it feels just stuffy/classy enough for older travelers, and just hip/happening enough for the rad-ish, younger crowd. ---i've read other complaints of too many elevators, and of the property being too spread out. i was there one night, and never felt a bit confused. FTR: there are no more than two elevator systems you will use. one runs between the main hotel lobby and valet parking area, another that services the rest of the hotel from the lobby. is that too many elevators? (and if you are not arriving with your own car, that'll be just one elevator.) ---one weird thing was the lack of a scent. i've been in other conrads that were 'scented'. i think the hotel deserves something light and not too powerful, but something. i saw others complaining on 'sewage' smells in the guest room hallways. i smelled nothing like that, but there is curious 'empty', dusty non-smell there. not quite 'must', not damp, but..... ---overall: hard to know what's up with the largest hotel chains these days, particularly re what each considers their respective 'top' luxury brands. i assume hilton considers WA their tippity top ultimate 5-star brand, with conrad maybe more of a 'lifestyle/luxury' marque? (whatever that is). well, i've stayed at the waldorf in BH, and it's difficult for me to say which property feels more 'luxe', more 'hi end'. other than location, it'd be a push, a draw. what i can say with certainty is that if you picked this hard-product up and plopped it down in the middle of brentwood, BH, SM, WeHo, or any similar 'more desirable' l.a. locale, the room rate would (and should) be triple what it is in DTLA. CHECK IN: ---not the most personal, warmest greeting of all time. but certainly cordial and good enough. it was quiet when i checked in, i was the only guest at the desk with 2 hosts. no property tour or even explanation of layout or amenities; a finger pointed to the guest elevators and i was on my way. i might suggest that since the property IS a bit spread out, and has so much to offer, a brief explanation - or even tour - might be good. especially if time and guest-load affords. ---hilton gold, booked through amex FHR. i had requested an early check in and it was available! since i showed up at 12:30pm with an early 5pm business dinner the same night, getting into my room early was highly appreciated. they also had an room upgrade available for me, can you believe it? alas, the upgraded room class wasn't available until normal 3pm check-in time, so i opted to get into my originally-booked room earlier without upgrade. still, while your own amex FHR mileage may vary at this conrad, i've found the FHR upgrade frequency in a downward spiral overall these days, so knowing the upgrade was available here on this date was cool. ROOMS: ---i booked a 'corner suite'. looks like it's right in the middle of room class and cost. ---as with the rest of the hotel, the rooms are brand new and superbly finished. from the soft, fabric'd walls to the handsome hardwood flooring (not laminate) to the furniture and bed. all pretty spectacular and on point. i was on floor19, and to say the room gets lots of light is laughably insufficient..... unless you have the blackout shades down, you will be flooded with light. 19th floor offers commanding views of DTLA, but i'll bet they're similar on lower floors too - not tons of 10+ storey buildings directly around the conrad.. ---if you book a suite and you're concerned about all the 'suites' these days that are simply larger rooms with a desk and/or sofa, fear not: this entry-level conrad LA suite is large. extra roomy. excellent layout. and it was an actual suite: two fully separate rooms.(though 'only' one bathroom). ---walls, doors, windows all super thick and quiet. i was concerned as i approached my room door for first time, as there were clearly a couple of party-down ladies staying in the room across the hall; once my door closed, though, it was immediately silent within my room. ---bathroom was huge and luxe as heck. i had a shower (non-tub) setup and the bathroom felt spa-like. (though the website describes the corner suite's bathrooms as 'sun soaked"....um, there's no window in there? no sunlight at all, but it's still a fantastic bathroom) my only knocks on room ---no welcome information or information about the hotel printed and in room, or even available with a qcode. was given my FHR letter from front desk and that was it. very unusual. ---room service menu only on q-code. i'm not sure who is actually convenienced by this new-fangled way of doing things. just seems to add extra-steps for the guest - pull out your phone, get the picture, put on your readers, scroll around. i have bad eyes. i wish hotels would just print out the darn menu and put it in the room. ---conrad has employed a fancy electronic panel to control just about everything in the room, and surely at tremendous expense. i continue to be unsure about the true benefits of these types of systems. i know they seem space-age and blinding-edge current to some. i've found most all of them to be confusing and unintuitive. either it's unclear what the group settings actually control, or the panel itself is wonky and hard to know how to 'touch' just right. this system suffered from both: it didn't seem to respond easily or even consistently to my touch, generally felt wonky. and the settings, without further written or posted information/explanation, took a lot of trial and error to (not fully) figure out. i wish hotels - unless they're positive they have a foolproof system (i've yet to experience one), would simply default to a set of clearly marked analog switches/dials. rather than try to 'wow' the guest with confusing and inconsistent technology. LOCATION: if you want to stay in DTLA, then you know what and where it is. the point of downtown (besides being 'historic') is that it's the most urban-feeling part of LA and the easiest to negotiate on foot. so it's downtown. walkable or short uber to virtually everything you'd want to do downtown. disney hall, museums, shows (la live), sports, etc etc F&B: ---only got to experience the (gorgeous) beaudry bar, and some breakfast/coffee the following morning. both were dreamy settings, especially the beaudry. SERVICE: here's where the single star comes off. again, my stay was during an extreme weather event. (i mean, heavy rains and high winds, but this is l.a. so that qualifies as 'extreme'). so naturally, many of the F&B locations were not open, as i imagine staffers were having trouble making it in no problem. acts of god and such. still, service throughout the hotel felt not up to par with the hard product on offer. ---late afternoon drinks at beaudry (no other baropen at that time). bartender seemed to show up every 10 minutes or so for drink orders and refills. the rest of the time, the bar was unmanned. i had to wait a bit for someone to come back to refresh me. and again to settle up. hardly any guests. just seemed weird, especially within that setting.. ---early morning breakfast at restaurant.... i detected a very crowded, loud dining room behind reception desk (again, this was the only food option available in hotel that morning), and the hosts felt a bit underexperienced and overwhelmed. i told them i was simply looking for a quiet coffee and some danish, and could i maybe sit just outside the main room in the bar area and enjoy breakfast service? this seemed to them an odd request. after three separate people let me know that "to-go coffee is available in the pots just around the corner", i finally was given a place setting near the bar. ---valets were all extremely friendly, but the valet setup is not at all efficient. i got my car twice in 24 hours, called in advance both times, and still waited 10+ mins outside each time. not good. particularly in light of the absolutely face-melting $65 per night valet charge. SIXTY FIVE DOLLARS per night. are we in DTLA? or are we in monte carlo? cmon hilton. anyway, yeah. not the best valet. ---never, ever a fan of the 'destination/resort fee'. guess i expect it from a big chain like hilton, but the truly 5-star properties eschew that nonsense and just adjust the room rate upward accordingly. i'd prefer the same at a classy hotel like this. overall: really really great hotel, especially if cool, beautiful modern design and a luxury hard product matter to you. it does to me. i'm not generally a 'service' oriented person. if people are kind, well meaning and eager to please, that's enough for me. the service here is at least that. yes, the peoperty is new, ergo it may not be quite as gorgeous in 2028. but to my eyes, the bones here look like they were done right, with highest quality finishes and materials. this is my first stay downtown, but i can't imagine a better hotel option exists there.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Anniversary Stay
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful one night stay at this location in celebration of our wedding anniversary. We booked through the American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program so we received some perks that were included through that program. The team at the hotel graciously reached out to us prior to our stay to see if we were celebrating any special occasion and we were delighted upon our arrival to see that they had left us some special treats, champagne as well as left some decorations in our room. We received a beautiful room upgrade overlooking the Disney Concert Hall with an amazing view. All of the staff at the hotel was very gracious and welcoming and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The shower was great, beautiful with plenty of water pressure. The food on the premises is excellent, yes it is pricey but if you are there for a special occasion it's worth the splurge. We very much enjoyed breakfast at San Laurel, the avocado eggs benedict with jamon serrano was superb. We had lunch at Agua Viva out on the rooftop patio with beautiful views and the food and drinks were delicious. We did take advantage of the pool area for a brief period of time, the pool was heated and the area was well kept. There didn't appear to be anybody monitoring the pool area for drink service, several employees came by on the exterior of the pool gate but none stopped by to check in on us. Not a big deal for us as we were only there for about an hour anyway since it got chilly. Just a disclaimer for those that are hoping to access both the fine hotels and resort benefits combined with any Hilton status benefits. This particular property does not let you stack those benefits. I do appreciate though that they were upfront with that when they reached out about our reservation. The hotel is well situated downtown, a quick rideshare or short walk to various restaurants in the area.

Excellent new hotel atop Bunker Hill. The Conrad is a great new addition to the downtown hotel scene. Across from the courthouse, Disney center, and the Broad- it is well situated. The service was great, the rooms a calming mixture of blondes and browns, and the pool / patio /roof bar a great place to hang.

We were enamored by our stay. The hotel was gorgeous, the rooftops wonderful, and we had the BEST service from Adam (aka AT). We also ate at the restaurant and enjoyed it. The pool was stunning. We have been telling all our friends about this wonderful stay.
Be the first to ReplyStill our very favorite hotel anywhere!
We had another fabulous stay at the Conrad Los Angeles in October! We absolutely love every aspect of this hotel. Not only is it beautiful and has a great location, but the staff is superb. We worked with Misty before our arrival just to make sure we were all set. What an attentive listener she was. Everything was perfect for us when we arrived. She was delightful, as well. Diana, Kiana and Brittney at the front desk were there to help us in any way possible to have a wonderful stay (which we did!). Oliver and the concierge team are exceptional! We loved the Beaudry Bar. It is so pretty and Edgar was there to take care of us. Finally, I have never had a general manager of a Hilton property reach out to me pre-arrival. Adam Heffron did. How especially nice of him to do so. It confirms how much everyone at the Conrad, including the general manager, is concerned for their guests. We can't wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing service at the Conrad
Great hotel, excellent service across from FD, the restaurants and HSKP. Great facilities, perfect place to stay to explore DTLA since everything is walking distance. The vas tender Alejandro was really knowledgeable about drinks with a great actitud. Hudson at the front desk was great. Keep up the great work. I will back soon.
Be the first to ReplyGot rashes from the hotel
We stayed 1 night at the Conrad Los Angeles on 1/6/23 to 1/7/23 using the American Express FHR program. With the FHR we were given an early check in, room upgrade, $100 dining credit, $60 breakfast credit, and late checkout. We checked in around 2pm. We booked 1 studio room which was upgraded to the corner suite room. Due to it being on the corner of the building, the room was not that big, but it did have a great view of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Amenities were very basic. Other 5 star hotels usually give high quality shampoo, body wash, conditioner, etc. in small hotel size bottles. In Conrad Los Angeles, all we got was cheap looking shampoo, conditioner, and body wash inside the dispensers. When we returned back to our room, we were given complimentary macarons which tasted very average. We had dinner and breakfast at the San Laurel. See my San Laurel review for more information. After breakfast, we checked out of the hotel around 1pm. Overall, the staffs were pretty nice. However, after I checked out of the hotel, I noticed that my body started to itch. I had really bad rashes all over my body. I do not have any kind of food allergy. I did not have any issue with other hotels. The only correlation to the rash I could think of was Conrad Los Angeles. When I contacted them, they only sounded concerned at first. They told me that they looked over their food ingredients and found no fault. They also said that there is third party company that investigate the room, but they did not call them because the hotel is still relatively new. They are basically telling me that it is not their fault and not their problem. I am still suffering from the rash that they caused, but they don't seem to be concerned at all. In the end they don't care about customer's condition or experience once the guest check out.
Be the first to ReplyStrange layout but excellent hotel
Itโs a funny place to get around. I kept getting lost trying to find elevators, some more signage would help for sure. Had a nice corner suite with plenty of space for one person. Quiet on 21st floor, good bed, nice layout and still with the brand new feel. There was no iron in the room, fair warning. Gym was fine for a hotel. What really made the place was the restaurant. Great service (which is true in general) and friendly. Had the best roasted duck of my life, and Iโve had a lot. Wine by the glass list good enough. Have at least one dinner there. Wonโt be disappointed.
