The Best!
What a wonderful place!! Three of the four of us had never been there before. We definitely will be returning! Food, service, wine - everything was excellent!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat night out in Tampaโฆ
Great night out with my husband. Very lively place. Food was excellent, and the recommendation of wine choices was great by our server, Kristen. I loved my sparkling wine. The calamari was FANTASTIC!!!
Be the first to ReplyJust say YES!!!
JustโฆWow. Our server Jordan left no detail unattended to. He offered two complimentary wines to taste before ordering, split our shared soup into two small servings, and made great recommendations about the food that were spot on. Food quality was exceptional, wine was delightful, and the pretzel bread was to die for. Overall, an A plus dining experience at a very reasonable price!! What a wonderfully pleasant surprise!!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing experience
I have been a wine club member for well over 10 years, and usually love my wine tasting/dining experience. This was my second time visiting the Wesley Chapel location, and we were very disappointed by both the wine tasting and dining experiences, which was surprising. The wine tasting experience was slow, and not much information was provided about the wines. We also had to end the tasting before finishing as our dinner reservation was already delayed (due to wine tasting) by 15 minutes. Our dinner was very slow (over 3 hours for appetizers/dinner entrees), were missing parts of the entrees, and we were never able to celebrate the two birthdays we were there to celebrate. The dining area was very loud and cramped as well. Very disappointed with the Wesley Chapel location and will book with the South Tampa location next time.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent business dinner at the bar
3 of us traveling on business. Restaurant was surprisingly jammed on a Wed night. Very lively crowd with a few standup wine tasting areas near the front, dining room to the back and a first come service basis bar in the middle. Waited a few minutes and then some seats came open at the bar. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. I had seared mahi. Perfectly cooked with a curry glaze that was fantastic. Another person in our group had the short rib risotto. We all agreed it was an excellent choice.
Be the first to ReplyIMPRESSIVE! (Wines not so much ...)
IMPRESSIVE! (Wine - not so much...) First - Be sure to make reservations for dinner. A very popular venue. Next - Parking can be a hassle. Next - Staff is unfailingly excellent. We were greeted as diners with smiles and deference to the after-work crowd. Tom, our waiter, did a journeyman's job with our wine and dining. Next - WE STRUCK GOLD with our menu choices. I prefer a light repast and so chose the Over The Border Egg Rolls from the appetizer menu and was completely satisfied with their uniqueness as an all around experience! But the real hit was the cup of Crab, Shrimp & Lobster Bisque - I have never had better!!! My treasured companion raved about her Blackened Ahi Tuna as being without equal in her experience. Saved room for a truly decadent dessert, a special whose name we cannot recall. All in all, a memorable dining experience!! Finally - the wines. Save your money. The wines are an unfortunate footnote to an otherwise stellar evening. They were palatable but nowhere near memorable, and overpriced. Result - A Four-and-a-Half Star Experience. As they appear to be expanding their footprint around the nation, hope you have the opportunity to go, Go, GO!!!!
Be the first to ReplyDeclining service and food
We used to love this place. We were even wine club members. However over the past two years the service and food has declined. We canceled our membership after our last experience and today reminded me why. Being flying out we thought to have lunch here. We ordered three sandwiches- all the same kind and all three came out wrong. While our other two family members finished their meals, the three of us finally received our sandwiches- no apologies, no reasoning. And the food was just ok. Definitely done now.
Be the first to ReplyDO NOT CALL - the customer service via phone is terrible. Online orders or in-person ONLY.
Okay - I have been a member for over two years and the food is always amazing. Wine is fantastic, too. But the customer service you get when you call ahead is terrible. Don't even bother calling, you will be put on hold multiple times, get hung up on, and need to call back just to be placed on hold again. Order online, in person, or not at all. They absolutely do not care about the customers calling in. Considering cancelling my membership, that's how frustrated I was after trying to place a simple pick-up order.

Great restaurant and winery. Extensive menu offering a variety of delicious dishes. Good size portions, great service.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Dinner
Perfect setting to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Ice water and pretzel bread served quickly. Drink orders taken, served promptly. Started out with potstickers w/Asian slaw, which was yummy. I enjoyed the pretzel -crusted pork chops, served w/Mary's (mashed) potatoes, candied bacon, and veggie. I've written many reviews, and this is the very first time I can use the word "decadent" to describe my meal. Others at our table enjoyed short ribs, parmesan-crusted mahi-mahi, spaghetti w/meatballs, and parmesan-crusted chicken w/Betty's potatoes and veggie. Free dessert for the anniversary couple. IMHO the prices are a bit high, but you won't be disappointed. Give this restaurant a try, you'll be glad you did!
Be the first to ReplyCoopers Hawk
Food came out cold. Server did not address. We asked for mgr who sent out more food and it was cold still. Mgr offered dessert which did not come out hot. Only comped lukewarm dessert. Server was not present at any point. Long time wine club members(6+ years). Worst service ever
Be the first to ReplyChaos at the start, great food to finish
Arrived for our 7.45 to be told they were running behind. No apology. At 8.05, asked again, told it would be soon. No apology. Eventually seated, service good, food on the whole very good, French fries had seen better days but overall pretty decent meal. Sort out the front desk and all is great!

We used to be โregularsโ. Then we moved from the area. Just went for a visit in Mar. and Coopers Hawk was on our โmust doโ list. It did not disappoint! Always great food and quality of service!

We went to Coopers Hawk Tampa for our daughters birthday with friends. Overall, a very disappointing meal - having eaten at Coopers Hawk before, todays experience was enough to make me decide never to go back First, they were late seating us - there was no apology for the dekay Second, for a winery, the wines are very average. And they served us Prosecco warmer than they should - shocking for a winery Third, they got some of the orders wrong And fourth, when the food did come out, it was just about OK. The one shout out I will give them is they very super careful about allergies - my wife has a serious egg allergy and they took excellent care of that. In summary; There are far better restaurants in Tampa for the price. If you have a choice, take it.
Be the first to ReplyNot get service or meal.
Very disappointed with the service and meal. I ordered a 50.00 dollar wine, the server brought it and left. Didnโt uncork or bring me a glass. He then went to a table of six and 10 minutes later I had to ask him to uncork and bring me a glass. I ordered the Thai Wraps at the Coopers Hawk in Sarasota which I loved. So I was looking forward to having it today at the Tampa Coppers Hawk. It was totally different! How can a restaurant chain have different recipes? They took it off the bill and I ordered s sandwich which was okay. Way too much bread for a sandwich. My friend ordered the chicken Madeira which she loved.
Be the first to ReplyCosco wine, average food
Love the concept. Drinking wine and tasting wine is about the experience. Make it a commercial restaurant, through in some average food and appeal to the masses. Dont get me wrong, Cosco or Trader Joes you can get wine that is $10 a bottle or even $5....but not all wine is good and unfortunately the two I tried were pretty bad. You can put lipstick on a pig, but still a pig if you know what i mean. Hard to also find reviews on their wines so that probably tells you something too.

Signed up for the club. So far so great. Really enjoy the servers and tastings. Food is delicious. Burgers and fish and chips have been spot on.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible experience
Absolutely the worst Steak house in Tampa Bay. 3 of us were out to CELEBRATE a Birthday. I made a point of putting on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. Cooper Hawks MADE NO MENTION OF THE CELEBRATION. Food was something that you would expect at GOLDEN CORRAL and not at upscale steak/seafood restaurant. Cherry and Jennifer ordered the surf and turf (filet mignon and lobster tail) both cooked medium well. I ordered the Filet Mignon cooked Medium Rare and asked that cook more towards medium than rare. Their steaks were delivered well done and looked like a hamburger patty and not a Filet. My steak was delivered RARE WITH A COLD PURPLE CENTER. Of course, I had to have my steak refired. It took 25 minutes for my steak to be refired and by that time Jennifer and Cherry's meals were cold. I asked for the manager and all she said was she would comp my meal and when Jennifer stated that their meals were cold the manager replied, "WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO BOX THEM UP" I did not even take a bite of my meal. Ask for the bill and left.

Delicious food and professional service. Wine tasting can be extremely busy, even on a weekday. Love the menu and atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyReally enjoyed the pistachio grouper with a glass of wine. The service was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
The service and atmosphere was great fun. Classy and not pretentious with an amazing wine list. Great choice for quality dinner near the airport.
Be the first to ReplyReliable Excellent Quality
Arrived for our reservation and were promptly seated on a very busy night. Parking is a bit of a struggle due to limited spaces. Filet was wonderful. Service very good.

The food is amazing! the wine is great. being a scratch kitchen you can change what you want or if you are vegan or have a food allergy. their cocktails are a must try! I had the danas chicken entree so so good
Be the first to ReplyGreat place to eat near the airport
We had just flown in from London, and needed a quick dinner. Coopers Winery was just across the road from our hotel, so it seemed a good option. It was very busy, restaurant fully booked, but they also have a bar area with walk in seating. Our waitress was great, understood we were jetlagged and bought us a glass of wine, and a burger very quickly. Both were delicious, and the service was very friendly.
Be the first to ReplyBad service and poor experience
If i could give zero stars I would. Comedy of errors. Birthday celebration went wrong from making reservations to getting bill. Called to reserve 5 and then called back to add three more. Was told need two reservations. Then needed to add 3 more and was told could only have max 10 not 11. Place was half empty outside should of been no problem to add because it was lunch for goodness sakes.
Ordered three plates of Trio steak. Each plate had two medium steaks and The Parmesan crusted ones were all raw. When we sent back the raw ones we were told they ran out of the Parmesan cheese! This was 1:00 in the afternoon. The restaurant had just opened at 11:00 am.
Scallops were so small, drinks were weak and one person did not get their drink until the end of lunch at 3:00.
One person asked for check because she had to leave early. She gave waitress cash. 30 minutes later no change or bill so she went inside and was told that she did not have change so she had to wait for bartender to take check. Others who gave credit cards needed manager to fix bill and he was busy. 20 minutes later she came out. One person asked for her bill 5 times. It never came At all!!! Not sure how they stay in business or if waitress was new, but bartender/manager and cook seemed to have a lot to be desired as well.
Be prepared to wait for wine tastings
Food at Cooperโs Hawk is good. Service and atmosphere is also great.
The issue is if you are a wine club member, itโs difficult to get in to do your wine tastings each month. They donโt do reservations for wine tastings and the wait can be long (30 mins to an hour).
You have to stand and wait until someone leaves and then stand right up against other people while doing the tasting. Plus there was a young child up at the tasting bar, is this allowed?
I joined the wine club in the spring but just cancelled because the tasting experience sucks now. I wonโt be back for awhile.
They added a new section for tastings but it wasnโt open on a Saturday afternoon.
