Poor food, poor service.
Lots of drama, not much content. If you like good Indian food, skip this one.

Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent modern light Indian cuisine.
The prawns are amazing. The Chana is to be expected. The Road Chicken was interesting and flavorful. I will be back, as their seasonal items rotate out I'm looking forward to the next rotation.

We were visiting London and craving Indian food, and we were lucky to come across Roti Chai. We sat in the downstairs dining room, which has a different menu and vibe than the upstairs street kitchen. Everything we ordered was delicious! For starters we had garlic naan, saffron chicken tikka, and chili garlic prawns... all must have in our opinion. The main entrees- butter chicken and malai methi paneer- were wonderfully flavorful. They have excellent cocktails too... our favorites were the mango caipirinha and pineapple gimlet. You cannot go wrong with anything on their menu.

I hadn't managed my time so well and only had about 30 minutes for lunch. Luckily, I visited during Ramadan and they weren't as busy as normal.I was seated right away and got the Samosa Chaat and the Jackfruit Biryani. Both were delicious... especially when you add a little bit of the yogurt and chutney from the chaat to the biryani.Shout out to the kind hostess and the waitress who made sure the kitchen got my order out quickly.Would highly recommend to anyone visiting London or local to the Marble Arch area.

Had to wait a little like 30 mins, its understandable considering a busy time. But when we had the table we forgot all the waiting, lots of options to choose from and very delicious. Good service overall service and lovely staffs. Thank you and I recommend everyone to try this place.

Garlic naan was ok, quite expensive for what it was. I ordered the butter chicken (which was the least spicy item on the menu) and it was very good. Definitely a place for people who enjoy and can eat spicy food.

It was a little hidden jem for my friends and I that we happen to stumble onto. We love the modern hip decor and the service was good as well. We liked the food and drinks :) it was a nice hang out place as well with an floor level and a lower level. Wasn't sure whats in the lower level was to hungry to explore haha we sat and ate u til our little hearts were content :)

Very trendy and popular spot! It wasn't too crowded when we arrived but quickly filled up. Food was great - small plates tapas style. Great for sharing with a group or by yourself

Instead of the tapas (or chaat as we might call it), I went for their side curries, paratha and pulao. The pulao was lacking the salt just a bit but otherwise the basmati combined very well with the steaming carrots, cauliflowers and other veggies.A side of chole with oil-free paratha completed a delicious dinner. The chole were cheap, plenty and had a rather unique spice to it.They seem to have a rotating menu, a lot of the food items on the photos here weren't on the menu. Would be nice to be back and try some other of their chaat items.

The food was delicious. We had the butter chicken, chicken 65, and the lamb curry dish. I have zero complaints about the food it was perfect. The ambience and service though were just okay. We were in the reservation downstairs area and had expected it to be quiet and a nice date night. Especially when you're spending over a hundred pounds for two people for dinner. Couldn't have been farther from the truth. This is a very family friendly restaurant so a lot of kids were running around plus it was quite loud. In addition, because they were so busy, our waters never got refilled and we were given a dirty utensil for our dessert

Ventured in here on accident on a rainy London day seeking shelter from a downpour and very pleasantly surprised. A great menu with tasty Indian street foods, snacks, and small plates. Dishes are authentic, spicy, and the atmosphere is fun and designed to emulate the street stalls of Mumbai.

I went here on a Sunday afternoon approximately at 3:00 PM and it was quite crowded but I was able to get a seat within a couple of minutes. One seated I was given water and placed my order I ordered the chicken and Railway lamb. The chicken was very tender and the sauce that accompanied it was great. The Railway lamb was magnificent it was not too spicy. The lamb was cooked tenderly and it was also accompanied with some potatoes too. I would definitely go back to this place to order more food to try.
Be the first to ReplyThis place has 2 levels of dining.
First level is the tapas section and then a restaurant style dinning downstairs. We ate at the Tapas section and the food was delicious. The vibe here is casual and relaxing . Their macchal jol(fish curry) is super tasty and reminds me of the taste from back home. Gobi Manchurian and the roti basket were also delicious . To top it off their cocktails are amazing. Overall highly recommended. Will visit for sure next time we go to london.

5 stars. Never had Indian food before. It was real good - chicken wings were tasty as well as the curry chicken. Wasn't blown away but was a good lunch meal.

It was packed but we got seated relatively quickly. We ordered a few different things and everything was on point. Prices were reasonable and the service was pretty efficient for how packed they were. Totally would come back.
