Cafe La Maude Philadelphia Reviews from The Last Year
Cute quaint brunch restaurant.
Their claim to fame is brunch served all day. We went around lunch time during the week and were able to get a table right way. Was initially turn off as menu indicated no substitutions and due to dietary issues some of the ingredients I needed omitted but they were more than willing to accommodate. Food was delicious and a unique blend of Parisian and Mediterranean. The marriage of these two cuisines gave it a unique and delicious flavor. Service was quick and wait staff were friendly. Parking looked like it could be an issue but where in Philly isn't it an issue but we opted for a Ride share. Would highly recommend this Cafe for Brunch
Maybe, I'd have to return to see if it has improved.
Last visit was cold and grim with the waiters forgetting us. Good. Mediocre
Went here after my sister's graduation.
It was about an hr wait for 8 people. There was seating area outside as well. It was small inside but cute. They only have 1 bathroom, which had long line each time. We ordered the shawarma, cordon bleu, petit steak and steak sandwich. The food was great.
Unique Foods.
Friendly Staff. Great atmosphere. I really enjoyed my time at Cafe La Maude. This place caters French/Lebanese cuisine and it's delicious. Brisket Huevos was a great filling meal! I am definitely coming back here again. I hope you find this helpful. Have a great day.
Went here for brunch during the weekend.
The place was definitely packed but we didnt have to wait and we went around 11:45/12 ish? We got the red shakshouka and baklava pancakes. The shakshouka was really good and mixed really well. The pancakes were ok, I would've wanted it to taste more like a baklava. Overall, I would give it a 8/10 and can see myself coming back.
Amazing food.
Came here one random day and came back very soon after to share it with some other friends. Great find but it is first come first serve. I came around 11:00am both times during the week and did not have to wait for seating either times.
LOVED coming here for brunch.
Service was friendly and fast, and our party of four was seated fairly quickly outside on a weekend (9:45-10am ish). You must order the green shakshuka (divine) and baklawa pancakes when you come here. I'm not normally into super sweet breakfasts so I was hesitant to order the pancakes, but they were the perfect amount of sweet without being overwhelming or heavy. My only warning is that some of the dishes are more spiced than the descriptions let on (the eggs benedict, for example). If you have a lower spice tolerance, I'd double check with the server before you order. The inside of the restaurant is a bit chaotic but looked cute. Outdoor seating was covered (and sealed off and heated, since it was cold out when I went) on a fairly calm street. Can't wait to come back here!
Food was amazing and came out very fast.
However, we were really rushed and were kicked out. It wasn't even an hour and half of being at this restaurant and the manager came up to us to kick us out. If you want customers to come back, focusing on service and the customers experience is more important than turning tables at lightening speed.
Beautiful place and great staff, the manager KICKED us out
Beautiful place and great staff, the manager KICKED us out when we had full drinks and food and apparently if you want to have a nice conversation and meal make sure you scarf it down because more than 40 minutes and youre an inconvenience to them. Very disappointing end to what was a great meal initially, management is more focused on turning tables than making a nice experience for customers.
While enjoying a nice brunch with friends from out of town
While enjoying a nice brunch with friends from out of town we brought a couple bottles for BYOB to enjoy the company and catch up. Food was amazing and food came out fast however since sitting down we were rushed to order and make decisions. 4 servers came up asking if we were ready to pay and we politely said we are still finishing some drinks and going to order a dessert. However, After only an hour at the table with drinks still full and dessert on our minds we were KICKED out by the manager for sitting too long. This place needs to focus on customer experience rather than turning tables to make another buck. This severely put us down and spoiled the mood of what was a great brunch. Do not come here if you'd like to relax and enjoy time with friends because after only an hour you will be asked to leave.
The food is incredible here.
The flavor profile of their food is definitely worth a try and worth the wait. I assure you there is nothing like Cafe La Maude in the surrounding area. There is typically a wait but it does move fairly quickly. Just goes to show how popular they are!

Meh. This wasn't my thing. I got coffee, it wasnt that good. The food was good, delicious even. We were packed like sardines I felt like we couldnt have a private discussion without the table next to me hearing us cause we could hear them. There was a wait to get in here too. Just not my thing.
As usual, one of the best food and service in Philly! Love
As usual, one of the best food and service in Philly! Love that they serve brunch until 4 PM unlike so many other places that close by 2 PM. The food came within 10-15 minutes of ordering. The hot chocolate was delicious as always! Tried the baklava pancakes and mediterranean platter for the first time and was equally blown away by both. Honestly wasn't expecting the platter to be that good! The chicken shawarma paired with cilantro flavored rice and sweet potatoes was chef's kiss! They somehow managed to make something as simple as scrambled eggs worthy of mentioning. Baklava pancakes totally lives up to the hype! You would think it would be extremely sweet but on the contrary, the flavor was balanced as the whipped cream on that huge stack of pancakes. The food and hospitality easily make this establishment one of my top choices for a weekend brunch.
Overall the service was great and we got our food very
Overall the service was great and we got our food very quickly but I didn't think the food was anything special. It was also super tight in the building so seating felt very cramped.
okay this place is probably one of my favorite
okay this place is probably one of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in philly. my friend and i went on a sunday afternoon thinking it would be a long wait but we only had to wait about 10 minutes! there's a cute plant shop next door that will definitely help pass the time if you end up waiting ;) both dishes we got were amazing. the red shakshuka. 10/10. flavorful and delicious. i loved how it came with more ingredients mixed in it. wish it came with more pita bread tho. i think i liked the baklava pancakes more. it wasn't too sweet and it tasted soooo good. it was a nice combo with the savory shakshuka. one thing to note is that they only take orders once so make sure u know what u want when u order!! DEFINITELY COMING BACK

The café is on the side of a narrow road and parking is a bit of a hassle. Food is amazing, but the service is so poor. Not a happy experience.
Felt rushed.
Food wasn't all that great as people are hyping it up. Ambiance is ok, very tight space inside as the owner will literally shove food down your face to hurry up and leave so the next person can be rushed. Will not come back.
Always the best
Always the best service and amazing food. Gabi is the best always keeps the restaurant flowing. We arrived there and there was a long wait but he got us in and accommodate us and everyone that was coming through the door. Always a must when we go to Philly!!!!
Best breakfast ever!
Fantastic place - food delicious-not run of the mill breakfast. Both savory and sweet options DELICIOUS!!

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
