Basically a remodeled house. NO parking nearby. Average service but sub-standard food. Small portions. Very loud place. Also cold.

Pricy, but worth it. We did the tasting menu. Don't be in a rush. But everything was stellar. We did the private room in the main level.

Decent food but not Michelin worthy, great attentive service however the price was ridiculous. Over $750 (including tip) for 2. Definitely not in par with price charged. Got 2 price fix dinners, 2 glasses of wine, 2 cocktails & one extra appetizer. In addition to expected 20% tip, they throw in 4% kitchen charge with tax on top.

The food is ok, but not deserve the price ! Some of the food is so salty and I have to drink lots of water after the meal. You can definitely find better food with this price!
Be the first to ReplyPerfect.
Loved this place, the service was incredible. Not something we're going to do often, but for special occasions, we'll be back.
Be the first to ReplyIt's worth it.
Every single item was delicious. The service was fantastic. Would recommend the omnivore choice more than pescatarian one. Cocktails were fantastic too. The ambiance was okayish. No great views or tall ceilings and the location is okayish too. But the food makes it worth it and we had a fabulous night over all. Portions looked small initially but the end of all the courses, we were quite full. There are also small plates served in between the courses which were unique and nice.
Be the first to ReplyTHE best meal we've had in many, many years.
2 of ordered the omnivore tasting menu and 2 ordered the pescatarian tasting menu. They also have vegetarian and vegan menus available, as well as some amazing additional items that can be swapped out into the tasting menu you choose. They can also address gluten free requests. They also accommodate allergies and preferences. Every single course from each of the tasting menus was balanced in flavor and texture, and exquisitely prepared. Presentations are beautiful and deceptively simple. Of particular note were the Wagyu A5 croccante, Tajarin with butter and crispy sage, and the Iberico Presa de Bellota and Alaskan spot prawn entree (it's Spanish pork shoulder but looks and eats like beef ... amazing). The vanilla bean panna cotta, vanilla sea salt, Billy's honey was incredibly light ... yet had perfect jiggly consistency. We enjoyed the reserve wine pairings with each course. Fun to have the sommelier bring out the bottles (different wines for the different tasting menus) and educate us about the wines. Service was outstanding ... super friendly and attentive. Love Holly Smith and her team. Eat here, often.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service.
I suppose we had an expectation a bit higher than we actually experiecedt The food was on the salty side It was a fun weekday dinner but nothing special
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a birthday dinner in October 2023.
When making the reservation, I had a custom request for a small card and a certain table. When we arrived, our table had a small handwritten birthday card on the restaurant stationary. We started off with some cocktails, and we both got the same tasting menu--"carnivore", as they call it. The food was pretty good overall, but there were a few that were a standout. We enjoyed a couple more cocktails, and ended the meal with a small birthday dessert. Honestly though it was a bit overpriced. The experience and food was nice, but I probably won't go out of the way to dine here.
Be the first to ReplyMy go to, my treat restaurant whenever I visit metro
My go to, my treat restaurant whenever I visit metro Seattle. Contemporary Italian cuisine with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients- my most recent visit was in the fall and they had both white and black truffles! Superb wine and cocktail list. Excellent service, Dress well, because everyone else will. Yes, you will spend money, and yes it is very much worth it.
Be the first to ReplyIt was one of the best dining experiences I've had.
Comparable experiences from the top of my list: Takai by Kashiba in Bellevue, Tagine in LA, Gro in Stockholm, Barbareรฑo in Santa Barbara. Cafe Juanita was also the most expensive meal I've had, so heads up. I love how comfortable the space is (rather than being showy). This is an incredible asset for Kirkland, and I look forward to coming back.
Be the first to ReplyWe decided to go to this restaurant because of al the great
We decided to go to this restaurant because of al the great reviews, but we're sadly very disappointed. To start with, everybody said the ambiance was great! There IS no ambiance in this this restaurant. It is just a few tables put together, no white table cloths and tables too close to each other. Not romantic at all!!The service was okay. They forgot to bring our bread at the beginning and did not even offer coffee when the dessert was served. Too many servers walking around you all the time, too.The food was good, I cannot deny that, but my goodness just not enough and for the price of $200 per person, I expected more! The display of the plates were also very mediocre. Nothing special.I went to Canlis this last September and it was just on another level. If you have to choose, go for Canlis! You will be pleasantly surprised!!We will NOT return to this restaurant!!J
Be the first to ReplyEasily the best meal I've had in Seattle.
Service, atmosphere, food... all of it. Wow just wow.
Be the first to ReplyMy partner and I have been really wanting to try a tasting
My partner and I have been really wanting to try a tasting menu experiences, but have found it to be difficult to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies in the past at places we have looked - no subs, no options, you get what the chefs make. He came across Cafe Juanita when looking at experiences for my birthday last month and I am so happy we went! The ambience was cozy and comfortable, I loved being able to see and hear the (very quiet) kitchen. Our server, Oscar I believe, was so friendly and knowledgable. He answered all of our questions about drinks and explained the menu options thoroughly to us. We ordered the vegetarian and the vegan tasting menu, with the white truffle risotto supplementary added (PRO TIP: definitely get this risotto)There was a tree nut allergy at the table, and the staff were so communicative with each other about what dishes were needed, and what plates were going to people with allergies and what those allergies were. It was nice knowing there was so much communication to make sure that nobody got sick/ a reaction from anything. Oscar was very knowledgable and had great recommendations. He informed me that there was dairy in the risotto and offered to make it without, but we kept it as is. And since we kept it, he suggested I try a different butter with the first (I think) course because it had a more complex flavor profile than the vegan butter, and even offered me the regular chocolates at the end of the meal, since you get 2 options instead of 1. The food was absolutely delicious. Every single dish was seasoned to perfection. They all were well rounded plates in terms of taste, presentation, composition, and texture. You can tell that the chefs love food and enjoy making the dishes that they make at Cafe Juanita. Every bite was memorable- so memorable that I called my parents immediately after and walked them through each plate. From the amuse-bouche to the bread to the dessert plate. Everything was absolutely stunning. I want to come back for every single special event in my life.

This place is a real 5 star restaurant I love all menu Service is excellent can't wait to go back there again My favorite Foie Gras is delicious you should try this menu I recommend
Be the first to ReplyLovely space, fantastic service, delicious food.
We both opted for the omnivore tasting menu and loved six of the seven courses. The seventh we merely liked :) Will be back.
Be the first to ReplyNot a good restaurant.
This place has really gone downhill over the years. It used to be the epitome of fine dining, but now is the armpit of Juanita. Even Sparrow has better food now. Ambiance is total schmuck.
Be the first to ReplySo nice but sooooo expensive.
Prefix dinner for 2 with 1 wine tasting ( 1 dd) was $700 (Inc tip)
Be the first to ReplyI'm in love with this place.
We came for a friend's birthday, and it was such an excellent celebration. The sommelier was knowledgeable, and very helpful in helping us pick a bottle of bubbly to start with. She really hit the nail on the head with what we were looking for. I had the pescatarian meal selection, and when I tell you all food I've had sense pales in comparison, I mean it. Every single course was amazing, but the entree - the king salmon with crispy skin - was swimming in the most delectable and decadent caviar ridden crema I have ever had in my life. If it wasn't such a classy place, I contemplated licking the plate. This place makes an excellent espresso martini to finish your meal off, and others at our table got simple espresso as well. The A5 Miyazaki Wagyu croccante... I would have a course of just this in different sizes. It is the perfect dish. Light, crunchy, rich from the yolk, melt in your mouth wagyu. We ordered the Tajarin 40 Tuorli from the supplemental menu, I would absolutely recommend. Perfect sharing size for 2, with the softest, most delicate pasta I've ever had, and topped with some fine white sturgeon caviar. Our waiter was amazing, he was very knowledgeable as well when it came to our next bottle of wine based on where we were in the courses. You finish everything off with some tasting chocolates, and I really loved the presentation. The chocolates are softly melted on a shortbread style cookie, and served alongside I think a fruit compote? Exquisite. I already booked a table for Valentine's Day weekend, and I cannot wait!! The vibe is romantic, and moody, and relaxing. It was a rainy day, and oh my god it was perfect, It's like stepping into a living room hosting a dinner party. Low lighting, light music, and subtle hints of conversation around you, rain falling outside that you can watch through the big pristine windows. It's the perfect place for a romantic dinner, or a celebration with a small group of close friends. I highly recommend valet, which is only $10, it was great as it was a downpour outside, so I didn't have to walk through rain or anything. They will also take your coat upon arrival, so you're not fussing with it at your table. This is truly an experience, and worth every penny. If you're in the area, I highly recommend trying to get a table (open table reservation recommended). I would love to come back in the summer for one of the patio dinners as well.
