Burritos La Palma El Monte Reviews from The Last Year
Delicious small burritos .
Small cozy and friendly atmosphere..Appropriate serving size delicious quesadillas. And very good bottled soda ! This is hearty food and a good lunch stop definitely one for the omnivores in anyone's life. Service is prompt a friendly and courteous.Couldn't ask for more if you're into a meat based diet .
Great burritos at a great price.
Worst part is limited hours. And yes, the fresh Tortillas are as good as everyone says.
Tuesday 3pm Small place with a parking lot in the rear.
Order at the counter and sit wherever you want inside. No wait when we came. We ordered all of the burritos to try them all! Deshebrada: 5/5, tender juicy meat Frijoles y queso: 5/5, simple but loved the toasted tortilla Con todo: 5/5, tender meat and again, the toasted tortilla was great The rest: 4/5 Overall, this Michelin Gourmand place has really yummy small burritos. Their tortillas are homemade, and you can really tell how fresh they were. Most burritos cost $4.50, which is kind of expensive. I would need 3 of them to feel full.
Amazing food.
Great service. Wish it was closer to where we live. Extra words Extra words Extra words
We love getting food here.
We aren't in the neighborhood that often but we always are glad we order to take home.
The burrito Birria is absolutely delicious 10/10.
It was my first time ever having anything Birria, the bar has been set very high. The Birria was very flavorful, juices add a great touch to the burrito. The bean and cheese burrito were also excellent. I love that they have small menu so they can focus on the main attractions, the Birria. Also wheelchair accessible if anyone needs to know. There is a ramp in the first door, a maybe 2-3 inch hop into the restaurant. Chairs are tables. Not a great place for a crowd, very few seats available.
Went there hungry after a hike.
First they opened later than advertised. Ordered to go so I had to go back because my order wasn't complete. The service was flat out bad... didn't even get a "sorry for leaving you 1 burrito short and making you drive back..." if anything got a slight attitude. The burritos are small, dry and expensive for what it is. Don't believe the hype.

Haven't been here in awhile and since I was in the area, decided to stop by. The prices have gone up but hey, what hasn't?!? Burritos (which are small and more of a personal size) are now $4.50, quesadillas are $6.50 and there's a combo plate for $14.50. Menu is very limited but that's okay because they can focus on the food they make yummy. Everything was delicious! We had 3 birria, 2 deschenbrana, and 1 chicken. I'd highly recommend this. But be prepared to order at 3 - 4 burritos per person depending on how hungry you are.
If you know you know.
This place is so far from where I live but every time I'm on that side of town I stop for the burritos. I always order the combo burritos these are my favorite I order the birria and the carne dessebrada burritos. Every bite is sooo yummy, my mouth waters just thinking about it. They give you salsa and a Chile Serrano to bite. I believe you can now eat inside the location. They have a few table and chairs. Place is clean and the service is great. I've also tried the birria quesadilla and it was as good as the burritos. This is a little hole in the wall and trust me it's always a hit!
Increased prices and now they charge for salsa.
What was once a weekly dinner destination might become a faint memory. The burritos are small and they recommend three for regular. At these prices, I have to search elsewhere. LA Times wrote up Avila's El Ranchito as a Readers Favorite.

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
