-Bread starter: Fantastic olive oil seasoned with black pepper, onion, and garlic. Sensual, fragrant. -Ribs & Grits: Bright flavors, hints of orange, fused with soy sauce. Charred, flaky, tender, juicy ribs. Only $11! Great price, perfect meal for two. -Spaghetti: Layered texture: crispy breadcrumbs, fresh greens, buttery & lemony spaghetti, has some heat. The broccoli soaked up the heat and flavor nicely. Also perfect for two people. (Photo shows half of regular portion) Praline Cake with Peach Almond Ice Cream: Bright, spring taste. Warm, kind cake. Woody walnuts. It tasted as dynamic as the color of a peach: blush pink, sunkissed yellow, and a touch of ochre. Spectacular flavors, great service, prices are well worth it, and ambience was romantic but casual enough. Will be coming back!

I was going here regularly. Unfortunately, one bad experience and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Not literally, because the food is delicious, but because they really messed up with my allergies. The server assured me that they could make the gnocchi dish without the corn (I have a severe allergy). It arrived and I started eating, only to find several corn kernels in it. I immediately stopped eating it, of course. But, the staff didn't seem to care and seemed annoyed that I returned the food and didn't want anything else. I had to leave immediately because I was starting to have symptoms and didn't want to use my epipen in the restaurant. It's too bad because they had been great about my allergies in the past. This was a couple years ago, but I've been too afraid to try again.

Fantastic restaurant on Broad that still somehow manages to fly under the radar. Broadway Bistro offers the flavors and presentation of fine dining, while also having a more relaxed atmosphere, larger portions, and reasonable prices. The service was also excellent, the bartender was very attentive to his customers and was clearly very skilled at his job. I had the pea green salad and the ribs and grits when I went and both were amazing. The pea green salad is probably the best winter salad I've ever had, with the pickled apple giving a bit of a bite and contrasting with the goat cheese and toasted almonds. The ribs and grits was delicious and such a good value. It feels like everyone near me ordered it as well, and for good reason. Very glad I finally stopped in, looking forward to coming back and trying more of their menu!

Another trip to Rhode Island, another chance to go back to Broadway bistro and explore more of the menu. Ambience same as last trip, dimly lit, bistro vibe. Service was good sitting at the bar super easy. Had the shrimp, it's a must get. House salad was okay, pea green was better. The chicken thigh dish is fantastic. I debated not getting it cause I can make chicken thighs, nope not like this. Try the shrimp and chicken for sure.

Nice atmosphere. Their food is hearty and a little unexpected.
Be the first to ReplyThe best.
The best. The best. MAKE A RESERVATION or show up and don't act surprised when they don't have any room. This place is an A+ across the board. I came here with my wife and we put in some serious work. We love good food and we DO NOT mess around. We were sat quickly right near the open kitchen (which is always cool and sign that the kitchen staff is professional enough not to have a melt down and crash stuff around or curse every word in the book haha). Our server was patient and friendly and helped us make some decisions with her personal recommendations. We jumped headfirst into the Mussels appetizer and it was delicious. So delicious I MAY have tipped the bowl up to my lips and finished the savory broth like a soup sippin' specialist. Next, We split the Pea Green Salad and were pleasantly surprised with the light crisp flavors that were combined together. Roasted Delicata Squash, Maitake Mushrooms, Fried Goat Cheese, Sunflower Dukkah, tossed in a Cider Vinaigrette. DRUM ROLL PLEASE.....The Main event arrived! Well, main EVENTS hahaa we couldn't narrow down our choices because everything sounded so good so we ordered 3 entrees to split. The Gulf of Maine Hake, Duck Leg, and Pan Fried Chicken Thigh. I'm not going to spoil anything for you with extra details but I will tell you it's some of the absolute best versions of hake, chicken, and duck I have ever experienced. 5 out of 5 would recommend AND order again without question. They know what they're doing in the kitchen and the plating solidified that they care about the guests and love to show off their skills!! Another added bonus was when the server brought over our check it came in a little notebook that guests write little notes, draw little pictures, and even create poetry (that was me, so keep an eye out for it). It was so neat. I love stuff like that to make date night a little more fun :)

It had been years since I'd come to this place and was recently gifted a certificate and I was so stoked to have an excuse to come and indulge. I love the fact that the place is quaint and cozy. The menu is one page, diverse, and difficult to choose from. We ended up getting a salad, the mussels, and three entrees; the duck, fried chicken, and hake. Everything was just absolutely incredible. I didn't try any of the special cocktails but I did get a titos soda that was a perfect ratio. Overall fantastic. My husband left a fun poem in the guest book and that was a fun little touch.

My wife and I visited in October while staying in Providence for our anniversary. The night we visited was dreary, wet, and a little chilly, but the experience at Broadway Bistro was second to none. Food was excellent, the atmosphere was more casual than we expected (which considering the weather and our need for rain gear was great), and the service was gentle and non-intrusive yet still attentive. It was one of the better meals we had on this trip.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and music.
We consistently enjoy our meals and the chill vibe. The complimentary chocolate truffles at the end of the meal are a nice bonus.

Amazing seafood place! Crispy outside, but soft inside, perfectly cooked halibut and bluefish dishes!! Duck confit is also strength at this place. Delicious cocktails. Great service!

Ate here with a group of people last Thursday night for a conference. The food was diverse and delicious. Great wine list and service was there when we needed them but not overly so. I ate the spaghetti with vegetables and it was not something I would typically order but was yummy. Great spot off Federal Hill.

Thank goodness the Bistro weathered the Covid disaster! The menu is so varied and excellent!I ordered swordfish - perfectly cooked! The seared tuna looked equally delicious. Farm salad and tomato salad was yummy- dressing was perfect. Bite of in house made cheesecake so good!Great meal!!
Be the first to ReplyThis is such a cute, cozy little date spot.
The restaurant is small so seating is limited, but we didn't feel at all crammed into our table, and if you need a little more space, they have a few tables outside. The menu is short, but well-crafted. I believe it changes seasonally and uses locally-sourced ingredients. I ordered the spring pasta and my husband had the fluke. When our dishes came out, they were stunning. So beautifully plated. They make their pasta in house, and you could tell. My spaghetti was delicious. They offer an assortment of local craft beers that I always like to see, local restaurants supporting local brews. The food was a little pricey, but completely reasonable for the quality and portion. This felt like upscale dining. We will definitely be going back.
Be the first to ReplyBeen here three times and had great experiences every time.
The food is always consistent and delicious. The drinks are amazing. The menu rotates which gives nice variety to repeat customers. The staff are trained to the nines on the menu and are always friendly and willing to offer great suggestions. Chef, bartender, and server consistency and excellence make this place somewhere I happily bring out-of-towners. Also, prices are very fair for the quality of the meal. And the best part is you can almost always get a seat, which blows my mind as everywhere else is nearly impossible to walk into on a Saturday night. They also have outdoor tables. The only part about this place, which I don't think matches up to the quality of everything else, is the decor. It's very simple and a touch worn down. I definitely love this place in part because it doesn't have fancy vibes, but maybe just an update on the tables and chairs would elevate the ambiance on par with everything else.

We walked in at 5:05 but some locals beat us! They know a good thing. Food was stupendous. Service fantastic. Mafaldine and trout. House made pasta. Bread from a local bakery. Beer from a local brewery. Loved this experience.

This is the place I would eat every night if I could. Haven't been since the Covid came to town but dinner and drinks here and then dessert at Pastiche is a dream night! menu changed often so you always had something new and delicious to try.

When I lived down the street, this was my favorite place to show visitors even being right near Fed Hill. The grits and brisket app is the best grits dish I've ever tasted! The chef has a heavy hand with salt but I love that. I've seen a few menu changes throughout my visits and each new dish is great. The base of the dishes like risotto and purées make the food most of the time. Never had a bad experience 10/10
Be the first to ReplyWe were a party of 4 on a Friday at 5:30.
We had reservations, but really didn't need them that early in the evening. Most people were sitting outside. We choose to sit inside and enjoys a few different cocktails with our dinner. All of the drinks are well thought out and very booze forward. Perfect for a Friday night after work. We ordered the pork bolognese for the table as an app. Very good choice as there was plenty of sauce over the gnocchi. They brought out fresh Italian bread with infused olive oil....delicious! I ordered the bucatini, which came over noodles with broccoli rabe mixed all together. Very flavorful and tender duck confit was shredded within the noodle bowl. The portion size was large enough and I opted to take some home. The chicken schnitzel was excellent. I highly recommend it! I was super tender and well balanced with braised greens chickpea-potato puree. I also had a chance to try a bite of the braised lamb shoulder...another A+ entree. The lamb was tender and juicy. This is one of the best restaurants that I've been to in while. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed dinner seated streetside in front of this casual spot. Service was excellent (Cory?). The menu is short but creative, with fewer than ten each starters and mains. Excellent bread is from 7 Stars Bakery. The mussel starter was packed with flavor, with added chorizo and garlic. Ribs and grits were delicious. My swordfish main was well charred on a bed of well spiced succotash. Clams bucatini came on a house made pasta that didn't have the classic bucatini shape, but proved tasty. The wine selection is short and all are available by the glass, with the prices modest. Also a small but diverse selection of craft beers. Plenty of cocktails from which to choose. . We had a bottle of Gavi, good with the food.
